Sharing a Room

1/4/2026

"Nightmare?" Ethan Yin chuckled softly. "It's nothing."

Tina Tian stomped her foot. "Hey, mister! We may be strangers by chance, but running into each other three times in one day—that's incredible fate! I have nowhere to go tonight. Can you let me stay for the night? I swear I won't do anything out of line! I'm super well-behaved!"

Ethan Yin raised an eyebrow. "Don't you have a room? Why ask me to take you in?"

"I... already checked out." Tina Tian bit her lip and spat out the words, frustration etched on her face.

Tina Tian had come here with Derek Tang.

Naturally, the room was booked by Derek Tang.

But Derek Tang left—and it was Tina Tian's own foolishness that drove him away. He didn't even look back.

So the room was checked out too.

Plus, Miss Li saw the video online and called to ask if the man in the video was Derek Tang.

To clear things up, Derek Tang rushed back to explain to Miss Li, not caring about Tina Tian at all. He hurried home to secure his 'base.'

Tina Tian was supposed to go back with him, but when she thought about Ethan Yin's handsome face, she just couldn't leave.

So Derek Tang left, and Tina Tian stayed.

Tina Tian came up with the idea to throw herself at Ethan Yin. After all, she couldn't let her expensive face go to waste—she was determined to cling to this gorgeous guy.

And so, Tina Tian showed up.

"If you've checked out, just book another room." Ethan Yin replied casually, clearly not interested in playing the hero.

Cherry Miller said calmly, "You heard him. Either get another room or leave."

"Why are you so bossy? Is that man inside your husband or something? Why do you have to butt in?" Tina Tian was furious—she wanted to hit someone, but after being put in her place earlier, she chickened out and could only attack with words.

Ethan Yin looked at Cherry Miller with great interest.

As long as Cherry Miller said he was her man, tonight he would...

This was an opportunity.

A perfectly legitimate chance to spend the night alone with Cherry Miller.

Ethan Yin, who had been a little impatient, suddenly became patient and said, "We don't really know each other. I have no reason to pay for your room."

"No need, no need! You don't have to get a room for me, I'll just stay with you! Your room is huge—one more person won't make a difference," Tina Tian exclaimed in delight. "I can sleep in the living room!"

Ethan Yin suppressed a laugh. "But I don't want to share a room with a stranger."

"But I..." Tina Tian tried to say more, but Ethan Yin interrupted her.

"But, you could borrow Cherry Miller's room for now. Cherry can make do and sleep on the sofa in my room," Ethan Yin turned to Cherry Miller and added, "It's dangerous for a young woman to be out alone. Why not let her use your room tonight? My room's big enough for two people to squeeze in for one night."

Cherry Miller's eyes widened in shock!

Was Ethan Yin possessed by some kind of vixen?

Did he really just say that?

Normally, he would've had someone throw Tina Tian out ages ago!

Tina Tian was stunned!

She wanted to share a room with Ethan Yin, not take Cherry Miller's!

"No, I..." Tina Tian tried to protest, but Ethan Yin was already insisting, "What are you waiting for? Pack up your things and let Miss Tian have your room. It's late—she needs a good night's rest."

"I..." Cherry Miller stared at Ethan Yin in disbelief. "I could just book another—"

"We may not be short on money, but that's no reason to be wasteful! When you're out, you should be frugal!" Ethan Yin said seriously. "Besides, because of the Furniture Expo, all the other rooms are booked! Same goes for other hotels. If you insist on finding a room, who knows how long it will take? You might not make it back in time tomorrow morning. Plus, you're filling in for Quentin Sheng, so you need to be by my side for work. If you're staying far away, how can you do your job?"

Frugal, my foot.

Work, my foot.

Cherry Miller could clearly see the mischief in Ethan Yin's eyes now.

He was obviously taking advantage of the situation to share a room with her!

Tina Tian was just the excuse he needed!

Unbelievable.

Tina Tian tried to refuse, "That's really not necessary..."

"What did you say?" The gentleman who had just seemed so warm suddenly turned cold. When Ethan Yin's icy gaze swept over Tina Tian, she froze, unable to say another word.

Tina Tian felt like she was dangling over a sharp blade.

If she dared refuse, that blade would drop without hesitation and slice her neck.

Ethan Yin's overwhelming presence made Tina Tian's face go pale.

Ethan Yin spoke to the air, "Pack up Cherry Miller's things and move them to this room. Let Miss Tian stay here."

The next second, Tina Tian saw—almost like a ghost—a man appeared out of nowhere, grabbed her by the neck as easily as picking up a chick, and carried her straight into the next room.

She watched, stunned, as the man packed up Cherry Miller's things and moved them to the room next door.

Then, with a look like he was staring at a corpse, he glared at Tina Tian for a full three seconds before turning and vanishing.

Tina Tian stood in the room for ages, unable to snap out of it.

Who was that man?

His eyes were terrifying!

It really felt like if she refused, she'd die on the spot.

Too scary!

Tina Tian rubbed her arms, wanting to go next door to find that handsome guy, but when she remembered the scary man, she chickened out.

Forget it.

Tonight, she wouldn't go looking for that gorgeous guy.

Fine, I'll just sleep here.

Cherry Miller looked at her belongings, delivered by Ethan Yin's secret bodyguard captain. What else could she do but look helpless?

Ethan Yin was right.

It's really hard to find a room at this hour.

And even if you do, it's either in bad condition or too far away.

She'd promised Quentin Sheng she'd fill in as Ethan Yin's assistant for now!

This was a classic case of shooting herself in the foot.

Ethan Yin saw Cherry Miller's helpless expression and chuckled, his voice full of delight: "Tonight you take the bedroom, I'll sleep on the sofa."

"No way. I'll sleep on the sofa," Cherry Miller refused. "That's how it should be."

"Talking rules with me? Hmm?" Ethan Yin leaned in, his hands casually braced on the cabinet behind Cherry Miller, towering over her with a dominating posture.

That unique Yin Family aura washed over her.

With the cabinet behind her, Cherry Miller had nowhere to retreat—she could only brace herself and face Ethan Yin.

"Mr. Yin..." Cherry Miller said, forcing herself to speak.

"Call me Ethan." Ethan Yin cupped Cherry Miller's cheek and leaned in. "Call me wrong again and I'll kiss you."

"Ethan." Cherry Miller quickly gave in. "I've already agreed to share a room with you, so please don't make it harder for me."

"Make it harder?" Ethan Yin laughed softly. "I want to make things hard for you forever—so you'll never leave me."

Cherry Miller said nothing.

"Fine, if you don't want to sleep in the bedroom, I'll stay with you in the living room," Ethan Yin chuckled. "Is that better?"

Cherry Miller glared at Ethan Yin helplessly. "You just love bossing me around. Fine, I'll take the bedroom!"

"That's more like it." Ethan Yin smiled contentedly, then bent down and gently kissed Cherry Miller's forehead. "My good girl."

Ethan Yin wouldn't let the staff touch anything—he personally changed Cherry Miller's bedding, happily taking care of her himself.

Cherry Miller was at a loss for words.

"I've already switched out your favorite brand in the bathroom," Ethan Yin said as he came out. "Want to take a shower and relax first?"

"What about your things?" Cherry Miller asked awkwardly.

"Oh, whatever you use, I'll use. It's just one night." Ethan Yin chuckled. "Besides, I love your scent. I want us to smell the same."

Cherry Miller's ears turned red.

Here we go again!

Flirting, anytime, anywhere!

"I'll shower first then," Cherry Miller said, head down, slipping into the room and closing the door behind her.

In the bathroom, Cherry Miller saw not only her favorite bath products, but the tub was already filled for her.

This guy was honestly too considerate.

If Madam found out about this, who knows if she'd be angry.

The mighty CEO of the Yin Corporation, personally taking care of a mere housekeeper.

Sigh.

Cherry Miller knew talking about rules with Ethan Yin was pointless. Forget it, just accept it.

Cherry Miller took a comfortable shower, feeling completely relaxed.

So comfortable.

After her shower, wrapped in steam, Cherry Miller came out, drying her hair. "I've cleaned the bathroom. Do you want to use it?" she asked.

"Sure." As Ethan Yin passed Cherry Miller, he took a deep breath to figure out which products she'd used, then went into the bathroom.

Ethan Yin quickly picked out the products Cherry Miller had just used and applied them to himself without hesitation.

When Ethan Yin finished his shower, he smelled just like Cherry Miller.

"It's late, I'm going to bed," Cherry Miller said shyly, head down. "Good night!"

"Good night!" Ethan Yin really did lie down on the sofa, planning to make do for the night.

Luckily, the sofa at the Star Hotel was pretty decent.

Still, Ethan Yin was tall and long-legged, so it was a bit cramped.

Cherry Miller hesitated, then said, "Maybe I should sleep on the sofa instead. My legs are short."

It was the first time Cherry Miller willingly admitted her legs were short.

"No way! Unless you agree to share the big bed with me!" Ethan Yin teased.
