Genesis Universe

12/19/2025

The four traveled through the void for a whole year before Henry Vaughn finally stopped. Before them lay nothing but endless emptiness.

Joe Di looked at Henry Vaughn in confusion. "Cosmos Lord Vaughn, don't tell me this is the place we've been seeking?"

Henry Vaughn nodded. "That's right. This is where the Gate of Destiny of my Trinity Universe is located—Wisdom Peak."

Joe Di frowned, beginning to suspect Henry Vaughn was deceiving him.

"Fellow Daoist Vaughn, I've heard the Gate of Destiny for my Five Elements Universe lies at Mountainview. To reach Mountainview, one must sense their own Dao underfoot. But here, all I see is emptiness—it's truly hard to believe." Joe Di's tone was faintly mocking; though he said it was hard to imagine, he was clearly expressing doubt.

Henry Vaughn was unfazed by Joe Di's words. He raised his hand and cast several seals, then spat a mouthful of essence blood into the void. A triangular Dao sigil formed in the emptiness, which exploded and revealed a pitch-black, massive gate. Only the central area, about a dozen feet across, was clearly visible; the edges were shrouded in gray mist, impenetrable to divine sense or sight.

Joe Di tried using his Dao Eyes, but still couldn't see through it.

If not for the colossal cauldron beneath the pitch-black gate, Joe Di would have suspected this was another Chaos Gate. But this Chaos Gate belonged to the Trinity Universe.

Henry Vaughn pointed at the colossal cauldron and said, "Joe Di, this is the supreme treasure of my Trinity Universe—the Trinity Cauldron. The Trinity Cauldron can only exist within the Trinity Universe; no one can move it."

Joe Di sneered. The Trinity Bowstring was supposedly immovable too, yet he had placed it within his own world. Now the Trinity Cauldron, also said to be immovable, was here suppressing this so-called Gate of Destiny of the Trinity Universe.

Henry Vaughn clearly guessed Joe Di's thoughts and continued, "Before the Gate of Destiny of the Trinity Universe opened, one hundred and eighty thousand Third Step cultivators of my Trinity Universe gathered at its origin—the Trinity Sea—and sacrificed their essence blood to the Trinity Cauldron, hoping it would suppress the Gate of Destiny for us. The Gate will never open until there are fewer than nine hundred and ninety-nine Trinity Universe Genesis Realm experts."

Joe Di's expression grew serious. Did this mean the Trinity Cauldron possessed cosmic Dao consciousness?

Sure enough, Henry Vaughn continued, "After our ritual, the Trinity Cauldron vanished from the origin of the Trinity Universe. When it reappeared, it was before the Gate of Destiny, forcibly sealing the gate about to open. Not only that, Wisdom Peak was sealed at the same time."

Joe Di was now convinced by Henry Vaughn's explanation. It seemed the Wisdom Peak at the Gate of Destiny of the Trinity Universe was just like Mountainview in the Five Elements Universe. Unlike the cultivators of the Five Elements Universe, those of the Trinity Universe knew the strength of Genesis City—going there was courting death. That was why they sought to seal the Gate of Destiny.

Quinn Moten asked in confusion, "If that's the case, how do we get the Trinity Cauldron to open and let us enter the Gate of Destiny?"

Henry Vaughn replied, "Back then, all one hundred and eighty thousand Third Step cultivators performed the ritual with their essence blood. Therefore, any of these cultivators can once again offer their essence blood to open the Gate of Destiny. Of course, each person only has one chance."

With that, Henry Vaughn drew a line of blood at his brow and sprayed a drop of essence onto the Trinity Cauldron. He then performed the ritual again, casting countless Dao seals.

An hour later, a triangular, pitch-black entrance appeared at the center of the gate. Joe Di's Dao Eyes could clearly see a hazy mountain peak behind the Gate of Destiny—this must be Wisdom Peak.

"The Gate of Destiny will only remain open for ten breaths. Let's hurry inside!" Henry Vaughn said, stepping through the gate first.

Zachary Zane and Quinn Moten followed closely behind. Joe Di did not hesitate and stepped into the Gate of Destiny as well.

A vast, majestic aura surged forward. Joe Di instantly felt his cultivation rising rapidly, as if he could step into the Creation Realm at any moment if he so wished.

Joe Di immediately suppressed the urge. This was Creation Resonance—he could absorb and cultivate it, but he must never rely on it to enter the Third Step.

He cultivated his own Rule Dao. Creation Resonance could be used for his cultivation, but it must never serve as the Dao law for advancing along his Grand Way. He had just achieved the Convergence Realm; if he immediately leveraged Creation Resonance to reach the Creation Realm, it might even impact the universe he’d constructed. Every aspect of his universe was formed from his own condensed rules. No matter how advanced Creation Dao laws were, he could not use them to break through.

Boom! A surging aura erupted from Zachary Zane, followed by a long howl as Creation Resonance circled endlessly around him. Joe Di didn’t need to look—he knew Zachary Zane had entered the Creation Realm.

At the same time, Henry Vaughn sat down joyfully, Creation Resonance swirling around him as well. Clearly, his cultivation had advanced another step.

Quinn Moten’s face was filled with excitement as he frantically circulated his energy. Endless Creation Resonance was swept up by him, and his cultivation soared ever higher.

Joe Di really wanted to ask Quinn Moten: after reconstructing his domain, were his Dao laws rebuilt from scratch? If so, he truly didn’t recommend Quinn Moten use the cosmic Dao laws of the Genesis Universe to achieve Convergence Realm.

The cosmic rules of the Genesis Universe were clearly superior to those of the Five Elements and Trinity Universes—Joe Di sensed it instantly. For a cultivator who’d trained in low-level rules for years, suddenly arriving in a universe with higher rules made it easiest to break through to the next stage. What’s more, having just entered the Gate of Destiny, the area was still suffused with Genesis energy.

However, Joe Di also knew he couldn’t ask right now. If he did, he’d be interrupting Quinn Moten’s opportunity.

Soon, Joe Di stopped worrying. Who was Quinn Moten, after all? After so many years of cultivation, what hadn’t he experienced? Besides, he was one of the pioneering cultivators of the Light-Dark Universe. He would naturally understand this kind of choice—there was no need for Joe Di to remind him.

With this thought, Joe Di began absorbing Genesis energy, circulating it through his body to stabilize his Convergence Realm.

Several months passed in a flash. Henry Vaughn was the first to rise, looking refreshed and clearly having gained much.

"Joe Di, you must have gained a lot as well." Seeing Joe Di stop cultivating, Henry Vaughn laughed heartily and spoke first.

"Compared to you, Cosmos Lord, my gains are hardly worth mentioning." Joe Di smiled, not continuing the topic.

Henry Vaughn had already reached the Creation Realm. No matter how much Creation Resonance he absorbed here, as long as he didn't advance further, it wouldn't affect his Dao laws.

"Joe Di, where we are now isn't truly the place reached after the Gate of Destiny opens. This is just a patch of void within the Genesis Universe. The Creation Resonance we've gained here isn't even a billionth of what the Gate of Destiny would provide when it opens to a whole world. Imagine how many cultivators would benefit then." Henry Vaughn explained.

Although the Creation Resonance had stabilized Joe Di's realm, he honestly didn't care much. After reaching Convergence Realm, advancing to Creation Realm wouldn't be easy—unless he, like Zachary Zane, used the Genesis energy here to break through directly.

At this moment, Zachary Zane and Quinn Moten also stopped cultivating. Quinn Moten had clearly succeeded in reaching Convergence Realm, which made Joe Di sigh. Though Quinn Moten had a deep foundation, having just reconstructed his domain in the vast chaos, to reach Convergence Realm so quickly seemed almost too fast.

Zachary Zane was even more imposing, his entire body surrounded by the Dao resonance of the Creation Realm.

"Congratulations, Brother Zane," Henry Vaughn said sincerely, cupping his fist. Both he and Zachary Zane hailed from the Trinity Universe, and in Genesis City, they would surely support each other.

Zachary Zane quickly returned the gesture, his heart filled with excitement. In the Trinity Universe, he had been stuck at half-step Creation Realm for countless years. Though he was known as a top cultivator, he knew that without entering the Creation Realm, he and Henry Vaughn were on different levels.

"Joe Di, it was right not to use this place to reach the Creation Realm." Quinn Moten's voice sounded in Joe Di's ear.

Joe Di nodded inwardly. Quinn Moten truly understood the gains and losses. Since he was aware, yet still chose to use the Genesis Universe’s Dao laws to achieve Convergence Realm, he must have his own reasons.

(That's all for today. Good night, friends!)
