Trinity Bowstring

12/19/2025

When Joe Di entered the void, Henry Vaughn was aware. Though he knew, there was nothing he could do. Fortunately, after Joe Di saw the Trinity Bowstring, he would realize that taking it was far from simple. Once Joe Di failed to retrieve the Trinity Bowstring, he would understand Henry hadn't deceived him.

The Cloudveil Void was easy to locate. Joe Di merely asked two people and, aided by the laws of the realm, traversed for two days before sensing an overwhelming aura of creation and genesis.

Such an aura emanating from the Cloudveil Void could only mean the Trinity Bowstring. Joe Di quickened his pace, and after another two days, arrived at the periphery of the Trinity Bowstring.

No wonder the Destiny Sovereign knew about this cosmic pillar in the Trinity Universe—this pillar, whose material was unknown, tilted and floated in the void, stretching tens of thousands of feet long with a circumference of at least a hundred feet. Anyone passing by would surely notice it.

Knowing ordinary means would never move this thing, Joe Di still locked onto it with his divine sense and tried to sweep it away with full force. As expected, when his divine sense landed on the pillar, it didn't budge an inch.

Joe Di paid it no mind; he never believed that moving the Trinity Bowstring would be as simple as a sweep of divine sense. He began to arrange formation flags. As a top-tier Grand Array Emperor, he refused to believe he couldn't shift the pillar with a supreme translocation array.

Though Henry Vaughn had reached the Creation Realm, Joe Di was certain Henry's array skills were inferior to his own. Henry's arrays would never surpass the rules of the Trinity Universe, but Joe Di's formations were constructed from his own laws—far beyond what the title of Grand Array Emperor could convey.

Joe Di spent three whole days setting up a supreme Transference Array, locking the Trinity Bowstring completely within its confines.

He activated the formation flags, brimming with excitement, ready to sweep the Trinity Bowstring into his own world.

To Joe Di's dismay, despite days of preparation and arranging a supreme translocation array, the Trinity Bowstring remained utterly motionless. Not only did it fail to enter his world, it didn't even tremble.

No wonder Henry Vaughn wasn't concerned about Joe Di coming—this Trinity Bowstring truly couldn't be moved.

Joe Di placed his hand on the Trinity Bowstring, feeling a chill emanate from it. Beyond the cold, there was an immense, vast aura. Yet his divine sense could not glean anything useful from this aura, nor could it penetrate the pillar at all.

However, upon touching the Trinity Bowstring, Joe Di instinctively sensed that this was the ultimate material for forging weapons—but not for blades. It was best suited for crafting bows...

No, it wasn't suitable for making the bow itself—it was perfect for making the bowstring.

Joe Di was startled by his own thought. If this pillar were made into a bowstring, how terrifying would the arrows it launched be? If, instead of using the Creation Brush to inscribe Dao resonance on a bowstring, he used this material directly, what would happen then?

When this idea hadn't occurred to him, Joe Di hadn't felt anything. But once it surfaced, he could no longer suppress it.

No matter what, he had to take the Trinity Bowstring with him. Even if he couldn't find a bow to match, he was determined to claim this string.

If the Transference Array failed, he'd try a detonation array. Perhaps there was a hidden grand array nearby, and his array skills were simply too low to perceive it?

A day later, Joe Di proved that even a detonation array couldn't blast the Trinity Bowstring free.

Half a month later, Joe Di had tried every kind of divine array, rending the void, even slashing with the Azure Veil Blade, and attempted to refine it...

But not a single method could move the Trinity Bowstring, let alone refine it—his divine sense couldn't penetrate it at all, so how could he refine it? This left Joe Di deeply frustrated. After all his cultivation, he couldn't even take away an object from the void; it was the first time he'd faced such a setback.

Henry Vaughn hadn't deceived him. It seemed that even if he managed to take the Trinity Bowstring, he wouldn't be able to refine it.

With this in mind, Joe Di summoned his Cosmic Flame. He wanted to see if it could refine the Trinity Bowstring; if the Cosmic Flame could melt it, even if he couldn't take the whole thing, he could at least refine some to bring with him.

"Fellow Daoist, you want to use flame to refine the Trinity Bowstring?" A cultivator from the Trinity Universe passed by, seeing Joe Di attempting this, and couldn't help but comment.

Joe Di chuckled, "Just giving it a try. If it doesn't work, so be it."

The cultivator from the Trinity Universe merely let out a dry laugh, said nothing more, and quickly departed.

He inwardly mocked Joe Di—if flames could refine the Trinity Bowstring, it would have long since been taken away.

Someone once used a Sacred Cosmic Flame that surpassed even ordinary Cosmic Flame, yet couldn't shake the Trinity Bowstring in the slightest. And now this cultivator wanted to use a single Cosmic Flame to refine it? He could only think: how naïve.

As soon as Joe Di's Dao Flame touched the Trinity Bowstring, he sensed something was off. He actually felt that the Dao Flame could affect the Trinity Bowstring—there was no reason for it, just a gut feeling.

After only a day, Joe Di clearly sensed a change in the color where the Dao Flame burned. The surrounding space seemed to emit a faint, subtle crack—as if something had split open.

It seemed the Cosmic Flame was still too weak—who knew how long it would take to refine the Trinity Bowstring? Joe Di was certain that once his Cosmic Flame grew stronger, he would be able to refine it. This, too, was just a gut feeling.

Putting away the Cosmic Flame, Joe Di casually tried again.

This was entirely because Joe Di had heard a faint cracking sound, prompting him to act on instinct and give it another try.

To Joe Di's surprise, unlike before when his divine sense couldn't reach it, this time his divine sense seemed to touch the Trinity Bowstring. Although it still didn't move, the feeling was completely different from before.

Without hesitation, Joe Di activated the Transference Array flags again. As the flags ignited, thunderous roars echoed through the void.

Joe Di grew excited—the Trinity Bowstring was being swept up by his translocation array. At this moment, his divine sense and Dao laws wrapped completely around the Trinity Bowstring. In the span of an incense stick, Joe Di sent the Trinity Bowstring into his own world.

He had to leave quickly! Overjoyed, Joe Di fled without hesitation.

With the Trinity Bowstring taken, the entire Trinity Universe quickly learned of it. Yet, even if they knew, Henry Vaughn could not force Joe Di to hand it over.

Joe Di still couldn't refine the Trinity Bowstring yet, but after his Dao Flame advanced another level, he would be able to. He guessed that ordinary flames could never affect the Trinity Bowstring, but his flame was different—it was Dao Flame. Dao Flame is a lifelong companion, formed at the lowest level of cultivation, and its forging almost always accompanies the risk of death. In the infinite cosmos, few possess a truly powerful Dao Flame.

Joe Di had already decided—he would refine the Trinity Bowstring into his own bowstring. Now he still lacked the material for the bow itself. Once he found it, he would forge the bow. He was eager to see what effect such a great bow would have when paired with his Chronoweave Blade Art.

However, Joe Di also knew that any bow material worthy of the Trinity Bowstring would be just as valuable. Genesis City gathered powerful cultivators from every universe; in theory, such material should exist there.

……

"Fellow Daoist Di, are you ready? If so, let's go now." When Joe Di returned, Henry Vaughn and a cultivator he'd never met before were already waiting. Qin Mutian was making idle conversation with Henry Vaughn.

Joe Di nodded calmly, "I'm almost ready. Let's go now."

Seeing Joe Di's calm expression, Henry Vaughn guessed that Joe Di must have realized the Trinity Bowstring couldn't be taken. Naturally, he didn't bother with unnecessary words.

The Trinity Bowstring was the symbol of the Trinity Universe. If Joe Di could take it, Henry Vaughn wouldn't let him.

Henry Vaughn pointed to the cultivator beside him and said to Joe Di, "This is Zachary Zane. He also wants to visit Genesis City and will be joining us."

"Fellow Daoist Di, I've long admired your reputation. Creation Dao City is filled with powerful cultivators. I hope we can work together to gain a foothold there." Zuo Zhuo clearly already knew of Joe Di and, after Henry Vaughn's introduction, greeted him with a cupped fist.

Joe Di returned the gesture politely. Zuo Zhuo was clearly not Henry Vaughn's subordinate; in Joe Di's estimation, even if there was a gap between their strengths, it was minimal—Zuo Zhuo was also a top-tier expert.

What surprised Joe Di most was that he didn't see a third eye on Zuo Zhuo. Every strong cultivator in the Trinity Universe had three eyes. Henry Vaughn's third eye was hidden, but Zuo Zhuo truly didn't have one.

"If that's the case, let's go." Henry Vaughn summoned his flying artifact and was the first to charge into the void.

Zuo Zhuo followed close behind, with Joe Di and Qin Mutian right after him, entering the void together.

Joe Di worried that Henry Vaughn would discover the Trinity Bowstring had been taken. Though he didn't fear Henry Vaughn, if he found out, entering the Gate of Destiny from the Trinity Universe would become troublesome.

To Joe Di's relief, Henry Vaughn headed in the opposite direction from where the Trinity Bowstring had been.

(That's all for today. Good night, friends!)
