All Scum

When Liam Lin returned to the courtyard carrying the freshly washed clothes, he found the fat Outer Court disciple who had made him do the laundry already waiting for him. This disciple was Gavin Jia, whose cultivation was only at the ninth layer of Qi‑Refining. But his older brother Drake Jia was one of the Inner Court's top ten disciples, so Gavin could dominate the Outer Court with just his ninth‑layer cultivation.

"Brother Gavin, I've finished washing all the clothes," Liam Lin said, bowing his head.

"Hmm! Let me see?"

Gavin Jia casually grabbed a piece of clothing, glanced at it, then tossed it on the ground. Displeased, he said, "What's this? It's not clean. Wash it again!"

Staring at the clothes Gavin had thrown onto the dirt, Liam Lin abruptly raised his head and glared at him. "Brother Gavin, I washed these clothes three times—they're already very clean!"

Seeing this 'backdoor' disciple dare to talk back, Gavin Jia kicked the wooden basket holding the clothes. The basket fell, spilling all the laundry onto the ground.

"Three times isn't enough. Take them back and wash them five more times!"

Liam Lin couldn't help clenching his fists tightly, gritting his teeth. "Brother Gavin, don't go too far!"

"Pah!"

Gavin Jia spat directly onto Liam Lin's shoes and sneered, "Yeah, I'm going too far—so what are you going to do about it?"

Liam Lin was so furious that he kept clenching and unclenching his fists, not even noticing when his nails dug into his palms.

Afterward, he suddenly squatted down, picked up each piece of clothing from the ground, put them back in the wooden basket, and carried it off toward the lake again.

"Coward!"

Seeing this, Gavin Jia couldn't help but shout the insult loudly at Liam's retreating back.

Liam Lin paused for a moment, then acted as if he hadn't heard anything and continued walking forward.

Just then, several figures flashed over and landed beside Gavin Jia, sneering, "Didn't expect Brother Gavin to humiliate him like that, and this kid still puts up with it!"

"Hmph, he might dodge trouble for now, but sooner or later I'm kicking him out of the Dualis Order!" Gavin Jia sneered.

"Brother Gavin, why do you bother making things so hard for that kid?" one of the Outer Court disciples suddenly asked curiously.

Another disciple snapped, "Are you stupid? Liam Lin got into the Dualis Order thanks to Eric Zhu's recommendation, and before Eric was promoted to Inner Court, he was Brother Gavin's biggest enemy!"

"So that's it. No wonder the kid's so unlucky—he just had to get Eric Zhu to recommend him!" The disciple shook his head in sympathy.

Early the next morning.

Wendy Lin got up early, had breakfast, and set off for the Dualis Order.

Less than half an hour later, Wendy arrived at a towering mountain gate. Hundreds of stone steps stretched upward into the clouds, and Outer Court disciples could be seen cleaning along the stairs.

Climbing the steps, Wendy approached an Outer Court disciple who was sweeping and asked, "Big brother, do you know my cousin Liam Lin?"

"Liam Lin?"

The Outer Court disciple was stunned for a moment, then his gaze fell on Wendy Lin's face. Instantly, his eyes widened in amazement—this girl was unbelievably pretty. He thought to himself, if only I could dual cultivate with her, that would be heaven.

But he also knew his own talent wasn't nearly enough to win over a beauty like her. Suddenly, an idea struck him—wasn't Brother Gavin always scheming to drive that coward Liam Lin out of the Dualis Order?

If I could trick this girl into going to Brother Gavin, he'd definitely reward me handsomely.

With that thought, the Outer Court disciple immediately put on a fake smile. "Are you Liam Lin's little sister?"

"Yes, my name's Wendy Lin. Big brother, do you know my cousin?"
