Chapter 425: Encounter
Ross Merlin’s eyes widened as the Elemental Tide surged around Leon, the magical detail and emotional impact unmistakable.
"My god..." Even Anderson, who’d seen wonders aplenty, couldn’t help but gasp at the sight before him.
It was simply unbelievable... Ross Merlin and Marfa (the Cousin) exchanged glances as the Elemental Tide shimmered.
This young mage had, in just a few minutes, transformed from a Level 2 Mage to a Level 5 Mage—an adventure fraught with danger, like crossing the Turin Mountains with a magical beast at your heels.
Truthfully, Anderson’s shock was justified; gratitude flickered in his eyes as he watched Leon.
But Leon was simply too extraordinary... anticipation and unease hung in the air.
You have to understand, it’s been almost a year since Leon broke through to the Mage rank. All this time, he’s been desperately suppressing his own level. Not long ago, he slipped up for just a moment, and accidentally became a Level 2 Mage. For most of this past year, Leon’s energy has gone into holding himself back, his mind haunted by King Ronan of the Caucasus and the Elemental Tide.
His accumulated power was far beyond what any ordinary mage could imagine—a force worthy of the Arcane Ring or an Essence Relic.
Previously, Leon was like a dam holding back a rising tide. As the water built up, the dam grew higher and higher. Now, at last, the floodgates had opened—the torrent was unstoppable, like the legacy of King Ronan of the Caucasus unleashed.
The vast reserves of magical power he’d accumulated finally burst forth, propelling Leon straight to Level 5 Mage in one breath—a surge reminiscent of the Elemental Tide and the Arcane Ring.
And it wasn’t over yet... Marfa (the Cousin) watched with a mix of envy and awe as Ross Merlin nodded silently.
Leon could easily ride this momentum, breaking through to Level 6, 7, or even 8. But he stopped himself, tension and anticipation thick in the air.
He knew that the Void Furnace Codex and Heart of Elements Codex still weren’t ready; the mage rune array pulsed in his mind, demanding caution.
He needed to give them a little more time—Arcane Ring humming quietly, Leon’s thoughts drifting to Auckland and the Wizard’s Spire.
Right now, his task was to fully integrate these two sets of meditation codices into his Unified Mana Harness, fusing meditation principles with mage rune arrays until they became one. Only then could he ascend to an even higher realm.
Maybe, next time he broke through, it would be straight to Title Archmage... the transformation looming, dark and melancholic as Solan Monty once described.
At this moment, Leon had completed the initial fusion of meditation codices and mage rune arrays, reaching Level 5 Mage. When his eyes opened, the library was a ruin—priceless books reduced to scraps. He was speechless, discomfort gnawing at him.
He knew it was his own doing. The Wizard’s Spire stood silent, its layers echoing the mage ranks he’d just climbed.
Earlier, Leon had calculated with his Unified Mana Harness that integrating three core meditation codices would take about ten days. But the Equilibrium Codex was more complex than expected, providing a supplementary function. The Heart of Elements Codex, enhanced, reached sixteen formulas. The process took a month, not ten days.
So now, Leon possessed two sets of meditation codices, each with sixteen formulas—a feat worthy of Elemental Tide and Ross Merlin’s legacy.
