"Idiot, Mr. Oblivion doesn't need you. I'd be fine on my own."
I stared in shock as Ms. Genesis wrapped her arms around Mr. Oblivion, shielding him from my corpse's blow. Her spine was already caved in.
"I want to. What business is it of yours?"
Mr. Oblivion joked, and I saw a faint smirk at the corner of Ms. Genesis's mouth as my corpse launched another attack.
With two sharp cracks, Ms. Genesis yanked Mr. Oblivion aside, blocking several of my corpse's punches with both hands. Then she pressed one hand to my corpse's chest—bang! My corpse flew toward me.
"Oblivion, stop fighting. With this body, it's impossible to destroy that guy's corpse. As long as we can ensure the Ghostworm's rebirth, that's enough."
Ms. Genesis held Mr. Oblivion, her tone tinged with worry.
Heh, that's not necessarily true. Every corpse has a weakness. You know I'm not the type to give up easily, don't you?
As Mr. Oblivion spoke, his severed legs regenerated. I focused my mind—the move I was about to use was extremely difficult, but if I could pull it off, I could finish off Brother Owen.
Mr. Oblivion stood up again and came toward me. My corpse roared in fury and charged once more, fists raised. Instantly, the two opponents collided.
With pounding blows, Mr. Oblivion and my corpse battered each other, fist marks blossoming all over Oblivion's body.
Suddenly, Mr. Oblivion appeared behind my corpse's neck, fist raised. With a hum, ripples spread through the air.
"Watch closely, Ethan Zhang. Your so-called hope means nothing before me. All is Oblivion..."
With a thunderous crash, Mr. Oblivion struck the back of my corpse's neck. There was a loud crack—I heard it clearly. My corpse began to lose mobility and strength, and my ghost connection to it was severed.
"Since it's a zombie, it must have a Golden Soulstone. That's its weakness. It took me a lot of effort to confirm it—The Engineer hid it well."
Mr. Oblivion flashed a triumphant smile and strode toward me. My whole body erupted in murderous energy, swirling like smoke and dust.
"What are you trying to do, Ethan Zhang? Heh, don't waste your energy."
With a roar, my corpse charged upward.
"It's useless. Once the Golden Soulstone is damaged, the zombie's stability falls apart."
With a crushing punch, my eyes widened as my corpse's left side of the head was smashed—most of it turned to dust.
