Just as Evan Yang was wondering, four figures appeared—the Fourfold Chimera Elders. One of them was hunched-backed, and Evan was more than familiar with these four.
The fourfold elders smiled when they saw Evan. Evan asked suspiciously, "How did you all show up here?"
"Didn't I tell you? As soon as you pour your power into the Soaring Heaven Token, we'll appear by your side," the mischievous old man laughed.
Evan stared at the old man's mischievous smile and asked skeptically, "Isn't this a bit strange? What does it have to do with you all?"
"Because we're the four guardians inside the Soaring Heaven Token," the mischievous old man laughed heartily.
Evan was stunned. "What? Four guardians? What is that supposed to mean?"
"Looks like he still doesn't know," the hunched-backed elder chuckled. Then the mischievous old man smiled, "Here's the truth: even though we can't see your future or fully grasp you, we know one thing—you can change the fate of the Chaos World. The Soaring Heaven Token was left in the Chaos World by Heaven. It's actually a prediction artifact that can probe the future."
"Heaven? Who's that?" Evan asked, puzzled.
"You don't need to know that. Just know that he's watching you. And you haven't disappointed him—you've already reached this level," the hunched-backed elder smiled.
Evan was completely confused. Not only was there the terrifying figure behind World-End, now there was another person he didn't understand at all.
"By the way, you came to us for something, didn't you?" the mischievous old man asked.
"Yeah, I want to know who the mastermind behind the World-End Society is," Evan said.
The mischievous old man replied, "We can't help you with that, nor can we predict it. We've said it before: your future is beyond our sight. Not just you—even anyone connected to you is hidden from us. All we know is you can change this world."
Evan said helplessly, "Seriously? So I came to you for nothing."
The four elders smiled, and the hunched-backed one said, "Don't worry. This Soaring Heaven Token is yours now—it'll be useful to you."
Evan took the token and looked it over. It seemed like an ordinary token, nothing special. But as soon as he took it, the four elders vanished. Evan, left with no choice, left the Divine Token Hall and saw Grandmaster Adrian "Left-Edge" Zuo and Grandmaster Marcus "Armybreaker" Po waiting outside.
Grandmaster Left-Edge asked, "How did it go?"
"Soaring Heaven Token," Evan said, taking out the token. Grandmaster Left-Edge and Grandmaster Armybreaker looked it over for a while, then Grandmaster Left-Edge asked, "This is just a regular token. There's nothing special about it."
"Yeah, nothing much. By the way, did those four elders show up?" Grandmaster Armybreaker asked.
Evan nodded. "Yeah, they showed up—but then they left again."
"Why?" Grandmaster Armybreaker asked in surprise.
Evan shook his head helplessly. "They said anything connected to me becomes blurry and can't be determined."
"That really is strange," Grandmaster Left-Edge muttered.
"So what do we do now?" Grandmaster Armybreaker asked.
Evan had already thought of a plan as he came out. "We target those two."
Grandmaster Left-Edge and Grandmaster Armybreaker frowned, but Evan sent them a voice transmission: "They've definitely been following us all along. This time, I want to use this token as a ploy. We'll say it can probe the future, but I'll need your cooperation."
Grandmaster Left-Edge and Grandmaster Armybreaker nodded, following Evan's instructions. Evan began to act, disabling the nearby formations, then held up the token and smiled, "Seniors, look what I've got!"
"What is that?" Grandmaster Left-Edge asked curiously.
Evan grinned, "This is the Soaring Heaven Token. I can use it to track that person's whereabouts, but it'll take time. Let's go—you two protect me while I work."
"Alright," Grandmaster Left-Edge and Grandmaster Armybreaker said with a smile.
Evan Yang took Grandmaster Left-Edge and Grandmaster Armybreaker with him and left. Meanwhile, the Twin Rakshas exchanged a glance. Lord Raksha Darkhand asked suspiciously, "Soaring Heaven Token?"
"What is this thing?" Lady Raksha asked, her eyes full of doubt.
"They really look like they can find the Master," Lord Raksha Darkhand said. Lady Raksha replied, "Looks like we have to take another risk this time."
Lord Raksha Darkhand said, "Alright, you deal with Evan Yang and grab the Soaring Heaven Token from him, while I draw those two away."
"Alright." Lady Raksha nodded.
The two quickly appeared where Evan Yang and the grandmasters were passing. When Evan saw them, he laughed, "Twin Rakshas, you finally decided to show yourselves."
"Hand over what you have," Lady Raksha demanded. Evan Yang smiled, "Why should I? I need it to find out who's behind you."
"He's not someone you can find. You'd better give it to me," Lady Raksha said. Evan Yang shook his head, "And if I don't?"
"Then we'll have to make a move today," Lady Raksha snorted coldly. Lord Raksha Darkhand moved to lure away Grandmaster Left-Edge and Grandmaster Armybreaker, but ended up trapped in an invisible barrier, then in a formation—Evan Yang's Emperor's Barrier Domain, reinforced by the two grandmasters' formations. Lord Raksha Darkhand's power was greatly reduced. Lady Raksha, realizing she was tricked, fled in shock.
Evan Yang wanted to chase after her, but Grandmaster Left-Edge stopped him, "Alright, don't chase."
"Now that Lady Raksha is gone, we've lost one, and that's bound to bring us trouble," Evan Yang said.
Grandmaster Left-Edge and Grandmaster Armybreaker knew this as well, but right now, the most important thing was to get information from Lord Raksha Darkhand. So the three took him back to Evan Yang's world-realm, where the two grandmasters designed a powerful grand array to trap him, combined with Evan Yang's Colorless Flame. Lord Raksha Darkhand was almost completely unable to escape.
Evan Yang looked at Lord Raksha Darkhand and said, "Last time, I was worried you'd break the formation. Now, I wonder what else you can threaten me with."
"Kid, you actually tricked me!" Lord Raksha Darkhand said angrily. Evan Yang snorted, "Lord Raksha Darkhand, do you realize how furious I am after what you did to the Women’s Realm? If I don’t avenge them today, I won’t call myself Evan Yang."
With that, Evan Yang stepped into his Colorless Flame, wielded the Limitless Spear, and launched a relentless assault.
Fire, water, and lightning battered Lord Raksha Darkhand, leaving him charred and battered. He had never been so humiliated, and his rage grew.
Staring at the stubborn Lord Raksha Darkhand, Evan Yang laughed, "Let’s see how long you can hold out."
"Go ahead, I’m not afraid of you," Lord Raksha Darkhand snorted.
Evan Yang continued his relentless attack.
On the other side, Lady Raksha sat before a screen, reporting to someone, "Master, here’s everything that happened."
"Well, they actually managed to capture one of my people so easily," the person on the other side snorted.
"What should we do now? I’m worried he’ll talk," Lady Raksha frowned. The person laughed, "Even if he does, Lord Raksha Darkhand doesn’t know my identity. He’s never seen my true body."
"So what now? Sooner or later, they’ll find some clues," Lady Raksha said.
"Yeah, it’s a headache. For now, you stay hidden. As for Lord Raksha Darkhand, his fate is his own," the person said. Lady Raksha nodded, "Understood."
"It won’t be long now. Just hang on a bit more. His Heaven-Cold Seed is about to reach its peak. Once that happens, I’ll emerge. But before then, don’t let him discover my identity," the person said.
Lady Raksha nodded and left.
Evan Yang interrogated Lord Raksha Darkhand for a long time, but got nowhere. So he used his inner heart-world probing, but found Lord Raksha Darkhand extremely stubborn and couldn’t get anything. He could only keep trying.
Finally, one day, Lord Raksha Darkhand fell into a semi-conscious state. Evan Yang checked and found that most things were handled by Lady Raksha and that person, while Lord Raksha Darkhand had never met the true mastermind. This left Evan Yang a bit disappointed.
Still, Evan Yang didn’t forget. He waited for Lady Raksha to show up or someone to rescue Lord Raksha Darkhand, but days passed quietly. Time went by.
Evan Yang, Grandmaster Left-Edge, and Grandmaster Armybreaker gathered together. Evan Yang asked, "It’s been a month and still no news. What should we do?"
"I tried using Heaven’s Eye Sight on Lord Raksha Darkhand, but found nothing. Getting any info out of him is really tough," Grandmaster Left-Edge said.
Grandmaster Armybreaker nodded, "That’s right."
"So are we just going to keep waiting?" Evan Yang asked.
"Yeah. You should focus on cultivation—getting stronger will help you in the future. Leave the outside matters to us," Grandmaster Left-Edge smiled.
Evan Yang looked gratefully at Grandmaster Left-Edge, "Thank you, seniors, for staying in my world-realm."
"Your world-realm is so amazing, I’d like to stay longer!" Grandmaster Left-Edge laughed. Evan Yang smiled, then went to his secluded chamber, set up formations, and entered his artifact. Thinking about the Strange Spiral Shell, Evan Yang looked at the Limitless Spear and the Five God haft. He muttered, "Can I melt the Limitless Spear? And the Five God haft?"
Evan Yang tried to see if the Strange Spiral Shell could melt them, but found the two artifacts repelled each other and couldn’t fuse. He gave up on that and focused instead on the teachings the Crafting God had shared with him.
"What’s above Heavenly Dao artifacts? And how do you reach that?" Evan Yang wondered aloud.
As the owner of the Strange Spiral Shell, Evan Yang had explored nearly all its functions. He noticed some parts still weren’t repaired, so he decided to fix them.
This was something Evan Yang had wanted to do for a long time. Now, with time to spare, he plunged into repairing the shell. He had no idea what was happening outside, but felt at ease. With Grandmaster Left-Edge and Grandmaster Armybreaker around, they were like two mountains in his world-realm—any intruder would have to think twice before making a move.
