Divination Hexagram
Grace followed her gaze and looked over, her eyes widening and her mouth falling open in awe.
What an enormous King's Spirit Tree!
It towered into the sky, its massive canopy covering several mountain peaks.
Grandpa Gene brought the two of them down beside the gigantic Spirit Tree.
There was a thatched hut at the spot where they landed.
"We've arrived!" Grandpa Gene said with a cheerful smile. "You two will stay in that hut."
"Okay, Grandpa Gene." Grace gazed up at the tangled old roots beneath the King's Spirit Tree and asked, "Grandpa Gene, why is this King's Spirit Tree so huge?"
Grandpa Gene sighed and said, "Ah, that's the King's Spirit Tree! It's been here since Drake Abyss was born."
"The King's Tree..." Grace nodded. "No wonder it's so big... There are Spirit Trees all over Drake Abyss, are they all rooted from this one?"
"That's right!" Grandpa Gene replied with a grin.
"So, what exactly are we supposed to do here?" Rona Yin asked.
"You two, just stay here with me. Every now and then, we'll go to the palace and check if the flowers, plants, and trees need any tending." Grandpa Gene said.
"That sounds pretty easy..." Rona Yin muttered.
"Did you come here just to work?" Grandpa Gene asked. "Aren't you here for something else?"
"Oh, right... I totally forgot!" Rona Yin scratched the back of her head. "Grace, why did we come here again?"
Grace smiled and said, "Let's settle in first and tidy up the place."
The two of them went into the hut and found there were only two rooms inside, each with a simple bed and nothing else.
"Grandpa Gene," Grace asked, "It doesn't look like anyone's ever lived here. And there are only two rooms—how are three of us supposed to fit?"
"You two can have the hut. I don't need a room," Grandpa Gene replied.
"So where will you sleep at night?"
