Joe Di hurriedly stepped forward, cupped his fists and said, "Fellow Daoists, my name is Joe Di. I was just passing by and happened to overhear your conversation about Genesis Loam. I was very curious to see it for myself, so I may have offended you all. Please forgive me."
He introduced himself right away and deliberately lowered his stance.
The four did not respond to Joe Di, merely exchanged glances and nodded.
Joe Di could already sense the transmission of thoughts among the four from the fluctuations in the surrounding rules. He felt helpless—the meaning of their telepathy was to get rid of him.
Four Realm-Merging experts—even if Joe Di could defeat them, he had no intention of fighting. Besides, he still wanted the Genesis Loam. If he fought these four, there would be no chance of getting it. And with Quinn Yan already such a formidable enemy, to create more would be madness.
Before the four could make a move, Joe Di spoke up, "Fellow Daoist Benjamin Edge, do you really not recognize me?"
But even though Joe Di recognized Benjamin Edge, the four did not stop. Even after Joe Di called out Benjamin Edge by name, they still closed in.
Joe Di had no choice but to send a voice transmission to Benjamin Edge: "Fellow Edge, back then you were trapped by Quinn Yan in a grand formation. If I hadn't helped you tear open the killing array, you probably wouldn't be standing here today, would you? You're really something—not only do you offer no thanks, you and your friends now want to kill your benefactor."
"It was you?" Benjamin Edge looked at Joe Di in shock.
To this day, he still couldn't figure out how he had escaped. He only knew someone had helped him, but had no idea how exactly.
He never expected that the question which had troubled him for centuries would now be answered by a young stranger.
The three cultivators with Benjamin Edge all stopped and looked at him. "Benjamin Edge, do you know this person?"
Benjamin Edge, who had been delighted, suddenly paused and frowned. Joe Di's cultivation and strength didn't seem impressive—how could he have saved him?
If Joe Di wasn't the one who saved him, then there was only one possibility: Joe Di was with Quinn Yan. After all, besides himself, only Quinn Yan knew someone had helped him.
Thinking of this, Benjamin Edge said to the other three, "Wait for me a moment. When I befriended Joe Di back then, neither of us knew each other's identity or appearance. Let me talk to him for a bit first."
"Go ahead, Brother Edge." The other three were clearly Benjamin Edge's friends. Hearing his words, none objected; they simply stepped back a little, but kept their divine sense fixed on Joe Di. If Joe Di tried to flee, they would stop him instantly.
"Fellow Joe, Benjamin was indeed rescued back then. But if I'm not mistaken, your cultivation has only just reached the Creation Realm, hasn't it? With such a low cultivation, how could you have saved me in that situation? I have my doubts." Benjamin Edge stared at Joe Di, voicing his suspicion.
Joe Di smiled slightly. "At that time, Brother Edge had nowhere to run. I saw you trying to tear open the Deathtrap Array. Though your array skills are decent, I figured you probably couldn't break it. So I casually helped you, allowing you to rip open the Deathtrap Array."
"You helped me?" Benjamin Edge frowned.
If Joe Di had managed to hide by his side and help him under such circumstances, Benjamin Edge would act immediately. In his view, no one could hide under the eyes of Quinn Yan and himself, especially within Quinn Yan's Deathtrap Array, let alone help him tear it open.
Joe Di truly did what Benjamin Edge suspected—he had hidden right beside him. But his answer was different: "Brother Edge, do you know who Quinn Yan's Deathtrap Array was meant for? Did you think it was to deal with you? Actually, it wasn't."
"Don't tell me it was to deal with you?" Benjamin Edge was almost sneering inside. With Quinn Yan's strength, did he really need a Deathtrap Array to handle a Creation Realm ant?
Joe Di nodded. "Believe it or not, that grand Deathtrap Array really was set up for me. Because I'm not a cultivator of this continent—I come from outside the Chaos Gate. Quinn Yan wants to kill me because I managed to obtain his Rift Dao Token..."
With that, Joe Di casually took out the Rift Dao Token and showed it to Benjamin Edge.
Benjamin Edge became excited. He had a Rift Dao Token himself, so he could tell that what Joe Di produced was the real thing. Now he was starting to believe Joe Di's story. No wonder Quinn Yan was so desperate to catch him—his Rift Dao Token had been stolen.
"My array skills are pretty good. After Quinn Yan set up the Deathtrap Array, I secretly laid a small backup within it. That backup was originally meant to help me escape, but you happened to barge into the array. I couldn't stand Quinn Yan, so I lent you a hand. But because I helped you, my backup was used up. Ever since, I've been trapped here, unable to leave." Joe Di said, spinning a tale.
His Earthshade Mirage was his trump card. Even though Benjamin Edge was also Quinn Yan's enemy, Joe Di would never reveal such a secret to him.
Benjamin Edge asked urgently, "Where were you at the time?"
Joe Di replied, "Actually, I was about a hundred miles away from you. I have my own concealment technique, and Quinn Yan didn't notice me."
"I believe you." After saying this, Benjamin Edge bowed to Joe Di. "Brother Joe, thank you for saving me that time. If not for you, I would have fallen into Quinn Yan's hands. Rest assured, as long as I live, one day I will break this protective array and help you leave this place."
The reason Benjamin Edge believed Joe Di was that earlier, when Joe Di was hiding nearby, none of the four of them noticed him. If it hadn't been for someone mentioning Genesis Loam, causing Joe Di to reveal his presence, they probably wouldn't have detected him at all.
Benjamin Edge was truly grateful to Joe Di—if he'd fallen into Quinn Yan's hands that time, it would have been a fate worse than death.

Joe Di quickly waved his hand and said, "Brother Edge, our enemy is Quinn Yan, so we should naturally work together. As for how to leave, I do have some ideas, but let's talk about that later."
Benjamin Edge wanted to leave this place, and Joe Di was already planning to bring him in to face Quinn Yan together.
"Brother Joe is right. When we have time, we'll discuss it in detail. Now, let me introduce you to a few friends." Benjamin Edge said, beckoning the other three over.
Seeing that Benjamin Edge and Joe Di really seemed to know each other, the three all walked over.
Benjamin Edge pointed to the three and said, "Fellow Joe, these are my closest friends. Without their help, even if I escaped Quinn Yan's pursuit, I wouldn't be as free as I am now. Cameron Yan, who cultivates the spear path—if you're interested in the spear, you can talk to Brother Cameron. Woody Kee is a divine tree who gained enlightenment, very loyal and righteous. Ray Lawson may look ordinary, but his lightning techniques are no less powerful than Quinn Yan's."
As he introduced them, Benjamin Edge also gave a brief introduction of Joe Di. In truth, there wasn't much to say—he only knew Joe Di's name and that Joe Di claimed to come from outside the Chaos Gate. The rest was unknown.
Joe Di could tell: he didn't know much about Cameron Yan's spear path, but the aura around him carried a fierce killing intent, suggesting a subtle but deadly spear will. Woody Kee matched his name—his skin looked like the cross-section of a tree, complete with faint growth rings. Ray Lawson was the most unremarkable, blending into a crowd like an old farmer. Yet Joe Di sensed that this man was the most dangerous; perhaps not as strong as Quinn Yan, but his combat power was anything but ordinary.
