Treasure Location (2)

The secret chamber was a small room, completely bare, with everything in plain sight at a glance.

Morgan Shangguan spoke softly, "Matters of the heart are always so complicated!" That was why she had refused to touch feelings in the first place.

Damien Gray took her hand and placed it around his waist, his lips curving into a smile. "I think it's quite simple!"

Morgan Shangguan smiled and kissed him lightly on the lips.

The two embraced, their steps never halting, spinning in circles within that small room. If one looked closely, there was a certain pattern to their movements.

Finally, both of them stopped at the same moment. The floor beneath them suddenly slid open, revealing a hidden underground passage.

A chill swept through. Morgan Shangguan frowned and said, "Did Galen Gu hide the treasure map in an ice cellar?"

Damien Gray mused, "We'll know once we go down and take a look!"

Morgan Shangguan nodded in praise. "Ghostmaster, you truly are wise beyond compare!"

Damien Gray tightened his grip around her waist, their bodies pressed close. He lowered his head slightly, gently nibbling her earlobe, and asked teasingly, "Does the Cloud Guildmaster have any rewards in mind?" Truthfully, this mechanism wasn't all that difficult!

Morgan Shangguan chuckled softly, "Ghostmaster, have you forgotten where you are?"

Damien Gray raised an eyebrow. "I'm only here to take a look. If we don't see anything, it's no loss. We can go back now if you like." His voice grew lower, more seductive, and his hands caressed her in a way that made her blush and her heart race.

Morgan Shangguan calmly pressed his hand down and said, "Since we're here, let's at least take a look inside!"

Damien Gray frowned at her and sighed, "Mo'er, you're making me feel like I have no charm at all!"

Morgan Shangguan helplessly pulled him toward the tunnel, saying, "You're the most charming!"

"Really?"

"Really!"

"How can you prove it?"

Morgan Shangguan glanced at him, surprised to find she wasn't the least bit impatient. She smiled, raised an eyebrow, and said, "Isn't the Cloud Guildmaster's choice the best proof?"

Suddenly, the two fell silent—because they had reached their destination.

They didn't get too close; separated by an ice sculpture, the two watched from afar as Galen Gu took out a brick-sized piece of crystal from a box. Inside, objects formed a unique pattern. Morgan Shangguan raised an eyebrow—Jade Frost Crystal? It seemed this was the Healer's Sanctuary heirloom. The pattern inside must contain the treasure map!

Suddenly, Damien Gray reached out and took her slightly chilled hand, tucking it inside his clothes against his chest.

Morgan Shangguan glanced at him. Though her body was a bit cold, she didn't feel chilly at all. Damien's warmth was comforting—her whole heart felt cozy and content.

Her soft hands gently encircled his neck. Morgan Shangguan gazed into his eyes, a smile flickering in her gaze. She lifted her head and kissed his lips.

Damien Gray never refused Morgan Shangguan's affectionate advances. He pulled her close by the back of her head; Morgan widened her eyes slightly. Galen Gu's martial skills seemed formidable—if they weren't careful, he would notice!

Damien Gray raised an eyebrow and smiled, completely unconcerned about being discovered. Morgan Shangguan was used to his recklessness and didn't bother glaring at him. Anyway, even if they were caught, they could still escape!

Their kiss deepened, and as expected, they were discovered!

"Who’s there?"

Hearing the shout, Damien Gray smiled and grabbed Morgan Shangguan, running off. Morgan was caught between amusement and exasperation.

The tunnel wasn't straight but winding. With their lightness skills, Galen Gu and his guard only glimpsed two fleeting shadows—by the time they gave chase, the pair had already vanished!

"Sanctuary Master!"

Galen Gu snorted coldly, a hint of menace in his eyes. "Looks like it's safest to take out the treasure map right now!"

The guard hesitated, "Sanctuary Master... are you really going to hand over the treasure map?"

Galen Gu replied coldly, "They must be lucky—surviving even that! Now is the time to squeeze the last bit of use out of them!"

He had just received a letter from Lucien Qian, learning that his men were preparing to rebel. That was why he used that pawn, hoping to wipe everyone out in one move and shift all the blame. Unexpectedly, he failed. Still, the result wasn't bad—it at least weakened the strength of all the sects. Now, he planned to use everyone's power to find the treasure first, then act. After all, Grandmaster Xuan Tian's treasure wouldn't be so easy to find!

As for the others, he wasn't too worried. The only ones he truly didn't trust were the Ghostmaster and Fiona Yun. These two only brought one or two people each—hardly any losses. They were not easy to deal with!

Fortunately, those two didn't seem to get along. As long as they fought each other over the treasure and both suffered, he could reap all the benefits!

In the room, Morgan Shangguan looked at Damien Gray, who was grinning from ear to ear. She shook her head helplessly. When it came to his occasional childishness, she was completely powerless—or rather, she was powerless against Damien Gray himself!

Damien Gray carried her to bed, tucked her in, and lay down beside her. Only then did he say, "Looks like tonight won't be too lively." He didn't believe for a moment that Galen Gu was unaware of their visit to the Healer's Sanctuary. Whether the rebel was genuine or not, those arrays were definitely connected to Galen!

But now, it seemed Galen Gu wasn't planning to eliminate the remaining guests—at least for the moment!

Morgan Shangguan kissed his chin and laughed softly, "Are you disappointed?"

Damien Gray smiled, "How could I be? Peace is best!" As he spoke, his hands began to wander—his meaning clear without further explanation.

Morgan Shangguan caught his hands and asked, "Who do you think targeted the Ghost Guild and Cloud Guild?"

Damien Gray replied absentmindedly, "Not many people would dare!"

Morgan Shangguan frowned slightly—he might as well have said nothing! Of course, she knew that already.
