Rona Muir shifted her gaze to Cecilia Gu and smiled, "You’re here too."
"Yeah." Cecilia Gu nodded with a smile.
"It’s so rare for me to find time to come shopping in S City, and I didn’t expect to run into you here! But then again, this is the headquarters of Yin Enterprises, so it’s only natural to see you two here!" Rona Muir laughed. "Such a coincidence—should we grab a drink together?"
Cecilia Gu hadn’t expected to run into Rona Muir here either, so she smiled and nodded.
Since Cecilia Gu had already agreed, Charles Yin didn’t seem to have any reason to refuse, so he went along with them.
The store manager and staff respectfully saw the three of them out.
Only after watching the Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster speed away did everyone finally breathe a long sigh of relief!
"Manager, who exactly are those people?" a staff member couldn’t help but ask.
Cold sweat nearly broke out on the manager’s back. He quickly stopped the staff member: "Ask what you should, and don’t ask what you shouldn’t! Didn’t anyone tell you this when you joined Yin Enterprises? Especially when it comes to the CEO—never gossip!"
The staff member turned pale with fright, nearly messing up.
If anyone overheard that and it got back to the CEO, she’d really be done for!
The three quickly found a quiet spot. Rona Muir’s sexy, alluring presence always made her the center of attention.
Charles Yin was handsome and distinguished. As soon as the two of them appeared at the nearby Starbucks, they instantly attracted countless stares.
However, Charles Yin always kept his distance from Rona Muir; instead, he stayed close to Cecilia Gu, whose pure looks and fresh face stood out.
As soon as they sat down, Rona Muir said to the server, "Three coffees, please..."
"Wait, just a glass of water." Before Cecilia Gu could speak, Charles Yin interjected, "She doesn’t drink coffee."
Rona Muir’s eyes widened instantly.
If anyone said Charles Yin and Cecilia Gu weren’t involved, she’d never believe it!
Cecilia Gu felt a bit embarrassed just sitting there drinking water, so she apologized to the server, "Milk is fine too..."
"Do you think they have the milk reserved for the Japanese imperial family here?" Charles Yin’s tone was a bit cold. "Other than that brand, can your stomach even handle anything else?"
Cecilia Gu immediately fell silent.
Rona Muir grew even more interested.
Charles Yin’s concern for Cecilia Gu was no small thing!
He even knew exactly what kind of milk she drank!
With a relationship like that, how could they possibly be just ordinary lovers?
The server kept glancing at Charles Yin’s face, seeing how attentive he was to the pure young woman, and couldn’t help but feel a pang of envy.
"Forget it, I won’t have coffee either. Just bring me a glass of water." Rona Muir pulled out her wallet to pay, but Charles Yin had already pushed the cash over.
"Three glasses of water. The rest is your tip," Charles Yin said coolly.
The server quickly glanced at the cash Charles Yin had pushed over, hurriedly collected it, and left.
Rona Muir looked curiously at Charles Yin and Cecilia Gu. "I’m honestly curious now—what exactly is your relationship? Mr. Yin, since you’ve already signed the contract with Odyssey Corporation, you don’t have to worry about me pestering you anymore. Isn’t it time to reveal this secret?"
"A secret?" Charles Yin raised an eyebrow, then turned to Cecilia Gu and said, "That depends on whether my wife is willing to reveal it!"
"Wife?!" Rona Muir couldn’t help but raise her voice, looking at Cecilia Gu in disbelief. "He called you his wife?"
Cecilia Gu shot Charles Yin a fierce glare. Didn’t he say they were just contract spouses and wouldn’t go public?
Why did he break the rules first?
Charles Yin acted as if he hadn’t noticed Cecilia Gu’s glare and continued, "This will come out sooner or later. Otherwise, how would I explain suddenly having a son?"
"A son?!" Rona Muir felt like her nerves must be scrambled today—otherwise, why would she hear such shocking news?
Cecilia Gu opened her mouth, glared at Charles Yin again, and finally turned to Rona Muir, "Sorry, we weren’t trying to hide it from everyone. We just didn’t think it was necessary to announce it, so..."
"Wait, let me process this!" Rona Muir was so stunned by the two revelations that she couldn’t recover. "You just called her your wife? And you said you already have a son?"
"It should be a son, but it’s not time to find out the gender yet." Charles Yin replied calmly. "Of course, I’d be happy with a daughter too."
Rona Muir was so shocked she couldn’t say a word, grabbed her glass, and gulped it all down in one go.
Cecilia Gu looked at Charles Yin in confusion. He was the one who wanted to keep it secret, but he was also the first to admit it!
"Vice President Muir, did you come to S City just to shop?" Charles Yin was the calmest of the three, lightly holding his glass but not drinking.
"Yeah, since I didn’t manage to close the deal with you, my boss gave me a lecture, so I came here to shop and blow off some steam." Rona Muir replied with a bit of annoyance. "I’ve negotiated with you for years and never won once. I just can’t accept that!"
"That’s normal. Even your boss has never won against me." Charles Yin smiled faintly, catching a glimpse of Cecilia Gu frowning at her water glass.
Charles Yin handed his own glass of water over, swapped it for the one in front of Cecilia Gu, then brought her glass to his nose and sniffed. His eyes darkened instantly.
There was a lingering smell of cleaning solution that hadn’t been rinsed off.
Charles Yin immediately said, "Don’t drink it. Better wait until we get home. It’s getting late—we should head back and rest."
Cecilia Gu looked up at Charles Yin. Why leave so soon after just sitting down?
Rona Muir had known Charles Yin for years. Just from his little actions, she could already tell he really didn’t like this place.
No wonder—everyone knows about Charles Yin’s obsession with cleanliness.
"Anyway, I’m just here to have fun. It doesn’t matter if it’s early or late. If you’re free tomorrow, let’s go shopping together." Rona Muir stood up as well.
Cecilia Gu’s eyes lit up at the mention of shopping. She looked at Charles Yin, "Is that okay?"
It was the first time Charles Yin had seen Cecilia Gu look at him with such anticipation. His heart softened, and he replied, "Of course."
"Vice President Muir, should I call you tomorrow?" Cecilia Gu turned to Rona Muir.
"Just call me Rona." Rona Muir laughed. "I’ve been dealing with Mr. Yin for years now."
"Okay, and you can just call me Cecilia." Cecilia Gu replied with a smile.
Charles Yin couldn’t be bothered with the women’s small talk and was already leading Cecilia Gu out of the store.
Rona Muir watched the backs of Cecilia Gu and Charles Yin, muttering to herself, "Charles Yin, you’ve finally met your match! Maybe I should congratulate you."
To make Charles Yin so nervous and attentive—Cecilia Gu was definitely the first woman to do that!
But I’m getting more and more interested too!
Cecilia Gu, what kind of woman are you, that you could actually pique the interest of Charles Yin, who’s never been close to women before?
Not long after Rona Muir left Starbucks, Alex appeared before the Starbucks manager in sharp business attire, smiling politely. "I’m very sorry, but just now, the owner of this store sold it to Yin Enterprises. You have one week to prepare to move out."
The Starbucks manager was stunned. He had no idea why Yin Enterprises would be interested in such a tiny shop!
After all, half of the biggest malls in town belonged to Yin Enterprises!
Why would they want such a small storefront?
Alex was extremely professional—he said everything he should, and nothing he shouldn’t.
Charles Yin whisked Cecilia Gu back to the Yin Family Villa.
As soon as they got out of the car, Charles Yin told the butler, "Cecilia’s thirsty. Bring her some hot milk."
Cecilia Gu was a little confused—when did she get thirsty? She hadn’t drunk the water because it was too cold...
As soon as Cecilia Gu walked in, the maid was already waiting, handing her slippers, taking her purse, and offering a hot disinfected towel for her hands.
Cecilia Gu was wiping her hands as she walked. As soon as she finished, someone brought her a perfectly heated glass of milk.
Cecilia Gu felt a bit awkward, but seeing how hard everyone worked to heat the milk, she couldn’t refuse and took a couple of sips.
At that moment, Charles Yin suddenly reached out and snatched the cup from Cecilia Gu, then took a sip himself.
Cecilia Gu was stunned, looking up at Charles Yin in confusion.
She had already drunk from that glass of milk...
"I just suddenly felt a bit thirsty... that’s all..." Charles Yin put the milk back into Cecilia Gu’s hand and turned to leave.
What’s gotten into him now?
The butler and others stood quietly in the background.
Ever since the young mistress joined the Yin family, the young master has been acting strange from time to time.
"Young mistress, would you like me to bring you a new glass?" a cautious maid asked.
Cecilia Gu looked at the cup in her hand, about to speak, when she noticed Charles Yin pause slightly ahead of her.
"No, this one is fine," Cecilia Gu said after thinking it over. It was late, and she didn’t want to trouble anyone. Besides, she’d shared cups with him several times before—there was no need to be fussy.
Hearing Cecilia Gu’s response, Charles Yin’s steps seemed to get lighter.
After finishing her milk, Cecilia Gu went upstairs to her room to rest.
Once she entered her room, Cecilia Gu suddenly remembered something: that afternoon, she had fallen asleep in Charles Yin’s arms!
Could it be that tonight, the two of them would continue...?
Just thinking about Charles Yin’s scent and warmth made Cecilia Gu’s ears turn red.
