Forced Invitation

Yvette Ye spoke loudly, pointing at Evan Lin over there while looking at the Ju family patriarch.

"So his words, to a certain extent, can represent Moonshade's attitude and position."

Yvette spoke again: "You really don’t need to worry about Blake Lin coming after your Ju family. To put it bluntly, you should understand the status of the Upper-Grade Lin Clan—they don’t even consider the Ju family worth their attention."

"Even if, in the future, the Upper-Grade Lin Clan truly becomes Evan Lin’s enemy, I can guarantee your Ju family won’t get dragged into it."

Yvette’s words were direct and crisp.

As soon as she finished, the Ju patriarch and his people were all shocked.

Night Spring and the others standing nearby instantly turned their gaze toward Evan Lin.

"So in the end, Moonshade’s stance is to break precedent and let Master Lin from Seacrest enter Moonshade?" Night Autumn’s expression was somewhat complicated.

"Someone like him is exactly the kind of person Moonshade wants to recruit. Give him a few more years, and he might even go from Moonshade straight to Hidden Dragon." Night Summer sighed.

Now, when it came to Evan Lin, he no longer felt even the slightest bit of contempt. In fact, he was already thinking about having everyone at Nightstar double down on practicing the Qi Source Body-Forging Art and Nine-Star Burst Fist that Evan left behind once they returned.

As things stood, Master Lin from Seacrest’s strength and insight were far beyond anything anyone at Nightstar had imagined.

"Unexpected, but also reasonable," Night Winter nodded. "Just him breaking the Four Seasons Grand Array alone proves his worth—and in the end, he even forced Blake Lin..."

Night Winter didn’t finish his sentence.

But the meaning was already clear.

Night Sparrow, who used to be quite hostile toward Evan Lin, now looked at him with no trace of resentment.

Strength commands respect, and in Nightstar, this was especially obvious.

Now that Night Sparrow calmed down and thought about it, with Master Lin from Seacrest’s level, the fact he ever bothered to respond to someone like her was already giving her face.

Besides, last time in Jinnan, Night Sparrow’s attitude toward Evan Lin was hardly friendly—she’d just seen him as an arrogant kid who didn’t know his place.

"He actually entered Moonshade?" Gloria Rong was completely dazed, her mind exploding.

"Insane, insane! Not only did he defeat Blake Lin and clean up all the Nightstar people, but he even got into Moonshade! Moonshade, for real!" Leon Lu was so excited he was trembling all over.

His biggest wish was just to have a shot at Nightstar; as for something like Moonshade, Leon Lu didn’t even dare to dream about it.

Now look at him—he actually knows someone who got into Moonshade!

"You can totally brag about it every time you go out now," Martin Wu looked at Leon Lu with a sigh. "If it’s just Master Lin from Seacrest, people would only fear his strength, not really respect him."

"But once Master Lin from Seacrest is linked to Moonshade, he’s basically turning into a dragon."

After speaking, Martin Wu glanced at Selina Wu.

While everyone was shocked and delighted—feeling like one person’s rise brought everyone up with him—Selina Wu’s gaze toward Evan Lin was mostly filled with worry.

She was worried that Evan Lin joining Moonshade would make him a target. Being Moonshade’s person wasn’t easy at all.

Everyone’s feelings were mixed. Even the Ju patriarch and steward now looked at Evan Lin with much more respect.

As for the faint disdain in Yvette Ye’s words toward the Ju family, it didn’t anger them. After all, she was just telling the truth.

The Ju family was large, but compared to Moonshade and the Upper-Grade Lin Clan, it was nothing.

While everyone was still processing Yvette Ye’s words...

Evan Lin frowned slightly, turned to look at her, and said, "I don’t remember agreeing to join your Moonshade."

Was he about to refuse?

"Is he serious? This is Moonshade! Is Master Lin from Seacrest really planning to turn down Moonshade?" someone couldn’t help but exclaim in a low voice.

"He sounds kind of impatient? That’s Moonshade—way stronger than Nightstar!" another person was completely stunned.

Leon Lu, Gloria Rong, and the others were already anxious, even more shocked.

Getting into Moonshade meant unimaginable glory and wealth, plus Moonshade itself was a powerful backing—it would basically turn Master Lin from Seacrest into a legend.

The key point was, Yvette Ye had just made it very clear: as long as Evan Lin joined Moonshade, Moonshade would help him deal with the Upper-Grade Lin Clan.

Otherwise, if Master Lin from Seacrest kept going solo, the trouble he’d face would only get bigger and bigger.

"This..."

The Ju patriarch’s mind was already overwhelmed, and even the Ju steward, a third-grade Pointing-to-Mystery expert, couldn’t help but tremble.

Turning down Moonshade so decisively—was this kid planning to defy heaven?

Or maybe, the reason he could be so carefree was that he had something behind him not inferior to Moonshade or the Upper-Grade Lin Clan?

The moment this thought popped into the Ju patriarch’s mind, it scared him.

"No way. If I say you’re in, you’re in."

Yvette Ye looked at Evan Lin, her expression brooking no argument: "That’s how we recruit in Moonshade, and we’re not even planning to make you do anything—why can’t you join?"

"Plus, I’ve chased you for days—just give me some face, alright?"

Yvette Ye spoke with a truly domineering attitude.

So this was Moonshade forcibly inviting Master Lin from Seacrest to join?

Normally, people would kill for a chance to get into Moonshade, but today’s situation was just wild.

But looking at Master Lin from Seacrest over there, he clearly wasn’t interested—he had zero interest in Moonshade.

Did the world flip upside down?

No one said a word.

Besides, from Yvette Ye’s words, you could hear something else going on.

Turns out, Moonshade had been chasing Master Lin from Seacrest for quite a while—basically begging him to join.

Since when did Moonshade become so humble?

"Are you joining or not?"

Yvette Ye stared at Evan Lin, eyes wide.

"Not interested."

Evan Lin shook his head.

His refusal was crisp and absolute.

Everyone around felt their hearts jump at this scene.

Leon Lu almost wanted to shout, 'If he won’t join, let me join!'

If joining Moonshade was an option, ninety-nine percent of those present would be willing to kneel and kowtow to Yvette Ye.

"What if I told you that Moonshade might have something you’re looking for—or answers you want?"

Yvette Ye paused, then suddenly looked up at Evan Lin, her face earnest.

"Something I want to find, or answers?"

Hearing her words, Evan Lin gave her a deep look.

Something to find?

There wasn’t really anything Evan Lin wanted to find, but he did want to find a person—Lyria.
