If You Won’t Say It, I’ll Do It

Talking about having babies in broad daylight? Way too awkward. But once night falls, well, you don’t just talk about it—you do it...

Prince Nolan showed up at Feng Manor in broad daylight and refused to leave at night, making it crystal clear he was staying put. Serena, mindful of the gossip swirling outside, tried to shoo him away. But Nolan didn’t budge, just said, "As long as I don’t take a wife, nobody out there dares say a word about you."

"Not take a wife? You think you can go your whole life without marrying?" Serena had always wrestled with this question in her heart, and now she finally blurted it out.

"If I can’t marry you, then what’s the point of marrying anyone?" Prince Nolan almost let the words slip, but caught himself at the last second. Instead, he said, "In this life, I’ll never betray you."

That one line said it all—his feelings were written all over his face.

If you never leave or forsake me, I’ll stick with you through thick and thin. Serena had already said that once, so she just grinned and teased, "I trust you. Anyway, you’re not exactly a spring chicken—if you did want to marry again, I doubt you’d have the energy for it."

As she finished, Serena’s gaze drifted—maybe on purpose—to Nolan’s lower half. She mouthed two words, silent but wicked: "Deer blood." (In China, deer blood is a traditional aphrodisiac—a sly dig at his virility.)

Pfft... Nolan nearly spat out his tea, grinding his teeth. "Butler!" he barked.

Serena burst out laughing, feeling triumphant. But when she saw Nolan’s stormy face, she quickly zipped her lips and said, "Alright, I’ll stop messing with you. I’ll have the servants prepare a courtyard for you."

"No need. I’m staying with you," Nolan shot back, quicker than his usual slow drawl.

Serena flashed a mischievous grin. "That’s not proper."

Realizing his lapse, Nolan quickly composed himself and spoke slowly again: "Etiquette is meant to restrain ordinary people. I’m not bound by such rules."

"In my house, you follow my rules, whether or not etiquette applies to you." If etiquette could really restrain Prince Nolan, he wouldn’t keep 'devouring' her—again and again.

"I don’t mind staying at my own place." Prince Nolan stood up, brushed off his sleeve, and said, "It’s late. I’m tired."

Without another word to Serena, he headed straight for her courtyard.

He knew Feng Manor far better than Serena—he could walk it blindfolded.

"So impatient," Serena made a face at Nolan’s retreating back, but instead of following him, she went to the study.

She had no intention of offering herself up a second time.

In the study, Jada Tang and Mira Tang were already waiting, ready to report on the Capital’s situation and await Serena’s instructions.

Once the three of them started discussing business, they lost track of time—and forgot all about Prince Nolan still waiting for Serena.

In Serena’s courtyard, the secret guards had already cleared the area. After bathing, Prince Nolan wasn’t anxious when Serena didn’t show up; he simply picked up a book and lounged on the bed to read.

He leaned back so casually that it was impossible to look away. The candlelight seemed to gather around him, casting a soft glow that made him mesmerizing—nothing like his cold daytime self, gentle enough to intoxicate.

Black hair, white robe, relaxed and lazy, filling the room with elegance. As soon as Serena entered, she couldn’t help but praise him, her eyes glued to Nolan, her legs unconsciously moving toward him.

No wonder people say, 'If you die beneath the peony, at least you die for beauty.' Serena knew it was a beauty trap, but she couldn’t help falling for it.

Serena stood by the bed, gazing down at the beautiful Nolan, who played along by reading his book, seemingly indifferent to Serena’s heated stare.

Look at him, cool as a cucumber.

A sly smile flashed in Serena’s eyes. She bent down, hooking Nolan’s chin with her delicate hand. "Smile for me, pretty boy."

Huh?

Nolan was briefly stunned, his lashes trembling. He glanced up, meeting Serena’s gaze, his eyes full of laughter. Just as Serena wanted, he broke into a smile.

It wasn’t as if the ice melted or the world faded away—Serena only knew that Nolan’s smile made her heart ripple.

"Pretty boys are just prettier—even their smiles have extra charm." Serena was so entranced, she kissed Nolan lightly on the lips without thinking.

Nolan laughed, set his book aside, and wrapped his arms around Serena’s waist. "Do you like what you see?"

"Love it. Absolutely love it." Serena collapsed against Nolan, her whole body soft and powerless. She sensed something was off, but Nolan didn’t give her time to think—his fingers gently teased open her clothes.

"Since you’re satisfied, now it’s my turn." With a deft touch, Nolan quickly undid Serena’s clothes, sat upright, and held her by the waist to steady her.

As soon as Serena was steady, her clothes slid right off...

Not completely undressed, Serena didn’t mind. She imitated Nolan’s tone—slow, teasing: "Do you like what you see?"

"Not quite." Nolan looked serious, but his hands wandered over Serena’s back. "There’s still more to see."

Last time, Nolan had worried about Serena’s health, so he couldn’t fully enjoy himself. Not only did he feel wronged, but the butler grew suspicious. Nolan was frustrated, but such things couldn’t be explained—the more you explain, the more people doubt.

This time, Nolan wasn’t going to let her off easy. Tonight, if Serena wasn’t too worn out to get out of bed, he wouldn’t be Nolan Dongling!
