Seeing Evan's attitude, the Vagabond Sage was extremely frustrated—he almost wanted to slap him. But since he'd already made a promise, and his pride was at stake, he had to stick around and watch Evan break through to the Profound-Immortal Realm.

Evan swallowed the clump, and his body felt like it was about to explode from the overwhelming Immortal Essence. His Heaven-Cold Seed absorbed part of it, the rest spread through his body, and at last, the barrier broke—he officially stepped into the Profound-Immortal Realm.

Seeing Evan's shocked expression, the Vagabond Sage laughed, "Kid, don't just stand there—come on!"

Profound-Immortal—Evan had only been in the Immortal Realm a few years, and he'd already made it. He opened his eyes and smiled, "Thank you, Senior."

"Good thing it worked, or I'd have to dig into my real savings," said the Vagabond Sage.

"What do you mean, Senior?" Evan asked, curious.

"Nothing. You can go now," said the Vagabond Sage.

"Alright, next time there's a bet, let me know. I wouldn't mind more gifts like this," Evan laughed.

Evan didn't expect the old man to be so stingy, but he was happy—he'd just stepped into Profound-Immortal, and every aspect of his power had grown stronger.

At that moment, Evan felt refreshed—he hadn't expected to gain so much here. Meanwhile, the Vagabond Sage, frustrated, decided to leave the forest and clear his mind.

"Of course! If anyone could absorb energy endlessly, a few experts could just force someone up to a high realm—wouldn't that break the world's balance?" the Vagabond Sage said, acting like a senior.

Evan knew that relying too much on borrowed power was risky—it was better to cultivate honestly, step by step. He smiled, "Got it. Thanks, Senior."

"Alright, head back," said the Vagabond Sage.

Evan left, and the Vagabond Sage grumbled, "What a loss—he took so much from me today. Next time I meet him, I'll come up with something to mess with him."

Near the forest edge, Evan remembered that Terry Yang might still be looking for him. He changed his appearance before leaving.

Outside the forest, Yang family scouts saw the unfamiliar Evan and paid him no mind—they just kept waiting.

Evan noticed them too, but ignored them and left—he planned to find Liam Willow and figure out his next move.

On the road, Evan ran into a group attacking a woman—and realized it was Blossom Fay.

She hasn't left yet? Evan was shocked.

Blossom Fay had planned to leave, but Ethereal Sanctuary tipped off the local guards, so she was discovered and attacked.

The attackers were all Earth-Immortal level—together, they were stronger than Blossom Fay, who was clearly struggling. Nearby, an Immortal Lord stood watching, smiling as if enjoying the show.

When Blossom Fay was about to collapse, the Immortal Lord laughed, "Alright, enough playing—capture her and send her to Ethereal Sanctuary. There's a reward."

"Yes, Captain," the group replied.

Evan realized these people were a squad sent by Ethereal Sanctuary to capture Blossom Fay.

Seeing Blossom Fay about to be captured, Evan stepped in and kicked the attackers away. The Immortal Lord was shocked, "Who are you?"

Nobody special. Tell Ethereal Sanctuary—next time, don't come after her. No matter how many you send, you'll lose just as many," Evan said.

Blossom Fay didn't know who Evan was or why he was helping, but there was no time to ask. The Immortal Lord scoffed, "Just a first-tier Profound-Immortal? You dare act so arrogant? Watch how I teach you a lesson."

Evan knew the Immortal Lord was only second-tier—no match for him. Everyone was shocked when Evan, a Profound-Immortal, defeated an Immortal Lord.

Seeing this, Blossom Fay realized who Evan must be—only someone with such monstrous talent could defeat an Immortal Lord while still at Profound-Immortal. Her guard relaxed, and she was very happy.

The defeated Immortal Lord glared at Evan, "Don't get cocky. I've already sent your info to headquarters—once you're in the formation, you'll never get out."
