Tracking Arrival

2/27/2026

Evan Yang immediately recognized the formation the captain was talking about—it was exactly that one. But he had plenty of tricks up his sleeve, so he wasn’t worried. Without hesitation, he grabbed Blossom Fay and, in a flash, darted away with her.

"Damn it! You let me go today, but next time, it’ll be your funeral!" The squad captain got up, seething with rage.

After Evan Yang brought Blossom Fay to a hidden spot, he stopped. Blossom Fay smiled and asked, "You’re Evan Yang, aren’t you?"

"You saw through me that fast?" Evan Yang chuckled. "Only you could pull off something like this. I was just guessing, but it really is you," Blossom Fay replied, grinning.

"Why haven’t you left yet? And how’d you run into them?" Evan Yang asked, curious.

"Don’t even ask. Just as I was about to leave, those guards started searching for me. I fought off a few, and I’ve been hiding all over these days. Today I ran into a real tough one and almost got killed," Blossom Fay sighed.

"That explains it. But don’t worry—just hop into my Space Ring, I’ll get you out," Evan Yang said.

"Okay." Blossom Fay nodded.

Evan Yang put Blossom Fay into his Space Ring, changed his appearance again, and went to the formation checkpoint. After passing the guards’ inspection—since he wasn’t on their wanted list—they let him through.

Once outside the formation, Evan Yang walked a short distance, found an inn, rented a room, and released Blossom Fay.

"How do you feel?" Blossom Fay asked curiously after Evan Yang released her.

"Yeah, it's fine now. No problem anymore," Evan Yang replied.

"You mean we've left the formation?" Blossom Fay asked, curious. "Yes, that's right, we've left. You can go now. Also, here are several Hidden Dragon Elixirs for you to use in the future," Evan Yang said, handing her several pills.

After Evan Yang explained the pills, Blossom Fay was shocked. "You rely on these?"

"No, if I relied on these, I'd have been exposed long ago," Evan Yang laughed.

"That's true, you're always fighting," Blossom Fay nodded.

"Alright, if you need help, contact me. This is my Transmission Stone for the Immortal Realm," Evan Yang said.

"Got it," Blossom Fay replied, pairing her Transmission Stone with Evan Yang's.

"I'll be going now. Until we meet again," Evan Yang said with a smile.

After sending Blossom Fay off, Evan Yang left the inn as well. The innkeeper was baffled by Evan's quick in-and-out, but didn't ask. Shortly after Evan left, some distance from the formation, he saw a familiar face.

"You're Evan Yang?" A skeletal old man stared at him—it was none other than Elder Simon Spring, who had rushed over. At this moment, Simon, Sean Shen, and Bald Lee were all shocked to see Evan Yang in front of them. If not for the Immortal Oracle Agency elder’s disciple, they wouldn’t have known.

Evan Yang was surprised—first, that these people had tracked him down, and second, that they could recognize him. But he quickly calmed himself and said, "I don’t know you."

Simon Spring, seeing Evan deny it, glanced suspiciously at the elder’s disciple. The middle-aged man said, "Drop the act. We just got word—you were fighting just now, then changed your appearance and left with a woman."

Evan Yang was stunned—these events had just happened. How could this strange man know?

Seeing Evan’s expression, Simon Spring guessed, "Kid, stop pretending. You can’t escape the Immortal Oracle Agency’s tracking. Heh, I never thought I’d finally catch you. Let’s see how you run today."

Evan Yang immediately used the crowd to slip away, with Simon Spring chasing close behind. Sean Shen and Bald Lee weren’t as fast, so they were left behind.

"Kid, you can’t escape. Soon you’ll just have to accept death," Simon Spring snorted coldly.

Evan Yang pushed his speed to the limit—the opponent had Emperor-level power, which was terrifying. People nearby watched, curious about what was happening to make these two so frantic.

Soon, Evan Yang reached the outskirts, but Simon Spring sped up and blocked his path.

Evan Yang didn’t leave right away. Instead, he asked, "How did you find me?"

"So you really are Evan Yang. As for how I found you—of course, I spent a fortune at the Immortal Oracle Agency to track you down," Simon Spring sneered.

"Immortal Oracle Agency? What kind of place is that?" Evan Yang had stopped because he wanted to know how he’d been exposed. Otherwise, even if he escaped for now, Simon would find him again sooner or later.

"That place? Heh, since you’re about to die, I’ll let you die knowing. It’s a mysterious sect in the Immortal Realm—they can probe the past and predict the future. That’s how I got the info on you," Simon Spring said gleefully.

Evan Yang was horrified. This ability was way too monstrous—no matter how he disguised himself, he’d still be found. What he didn’t know was that they could only see his present, not his past or future.

"Well? Understand now? Time to die!" Simon Spring snorted coldly.

Just then, someone appeared—it was the disciple of the Immortal Oracle Agency elder who’d come with Simon Spring. He stepped forward and said, "This person is ours."

"What? What do you mean by that?" Simon Spring demanded angrily.

"This person is ours," the middle-aged man repeated.

"On what grounds? Don’t forget, I paid you!" Simon Spring shouted angrily.

"Our job was to find him for you. But now that we have, our sect wants him. No matter what, you can’t harm him," the middle-aged man said.

Simon Spring was stunned—the Immortal Oracle Agency actually wanted Evan Yang? What was going on? But after all his effort tracking Evan down, there was no way he’d let him go, so he snorted, "No way."

"Then let’s fight, or maybe our sect elders can have a chat with you," the middle-aged man said.

"Hmph, so you’re determined to block me. I don’t know why you want him, but I’m not backing down. If I offend you today, so be it," Simon Spring snorted.

(Irrelevant system message skipped.)

The middle-aged man said to Evan Yang, "Go on ahead. I’ll find you later."

Evan Yang had no idea what was going on—two people were after him, one for revenge, one to protect him. He was confused, but since someone stepped in, he slipped away.

Simon Spring was shocked and tried to give chase, but the middle-aged man blocked him. "Don’t bother. If you want him, you’ll have to get past me first."

"You bastard!" Simon Spring roared in fury.

"Once he’s far enough, you’ll never find him again. So you might as well give up," the middle-aged man said.

Simon Spring growled, "Is this how your sect does business?"

"We did what you asked. As for your own business, we don’t care. But the elders ordered me to bring him back alive, so apologies," the middle-aged man said.

Simon Spring couldn’t understand what was so special about Evan Yang—why did these people want to protect him? Furious, he said, "Fine, today I’ll defeat you first."

With that, the two began to fight. Their strength was evenly matched, and the middle-aged man didn’t want a direct clash—he kept dodging and stalling, giving Evan Yang time to escape.

After Evan Yang left, he reverted to the appearance and aura tied to his Pass Token and reentered the formation zone.

After tangling with Simon Spring for a while, the middle-aged man decided not to keep fighting and slipped away.

Simon Spring angrily chased after him, but once the middle-aged man entered the city, he kept weaving around, trying every trick to shake Simon off and then look for Evan Yang.

Back inside the formation, Evan Yang muttered, "Immortal Oracle Agency? What kind of place is that? Is it really so magical? Looks like I’ll have to ask Liam Willow."

Today’s events left Evan Yang frustrated—his good mood was half ruined.

Liam Willow was hiding off to the side, counting Immortal Source. After Evan Yang contacted him, Liam told Evan his location. When they met, Evan saw Liam was covered in injuries and asked, "What happened to you?"

"Don’t even mention it—it’s tragic. Making money isn’t easy these days," Liam Willow sighed.

"Oh? What kind of money did you make to end up like this?" Evan Yang asked curiously.

"You wouldn’t believe it—it’s been frustrating. These days, I’ve been selling pills, suppressing my cultivation, so people thought I was easy to bully. Naturally, plenty tried to mess with me. I took them to quiet spots and taught them a lesson, but after a few rounds, I ended up with a lot of injuries. Luckily, none of them were real experts, or I’d have suffered much worse," Liam Willow sighed.

"So that’s how it is. You really had a rough time," Evan Yang laughed.

"Alright, enough about that. What about you? Did you get things done?" Liam Willow asked. "Not yet, still missing a few pieces. But I’m confident I’ll handle it soon," Evan Yang replied.

"That’s good," Liam Willow answered.

After thinking for a moment, Evan Yang asked, "Do you know about the Immortal Oracle Agency?"

"Why are you asking?" Liam Willow looked at Evan Yang suspiciously.

"Someone exposed my identity today, and the info came from the Immortal Oracle Agency. So I really want to know what kind of place it is," Evan Yang said.

"Makes sense. It’s normal to get exposed, since the Immortal Oracle Agency is the best place to investigate someone," Liam Willow said.

Evan Yang asked, "How so?"

"Their sect has people who can predict and probe. Prediction means glimpsing a person’s future, probing means sensing their past. So they can usually tell where someone’s appeared and what they’ve done," Liam Willow explained.

"No wonder my disguise arts were useless. I didn’t expect them to have such a monstrous sect," Evan Yang muttered.

"Who’s hunting you? Must’ve spent a fortune," Liam Willow asked, curious. "A bitter enemy. But luckily, the Immortal Oracle Agency people stepped in to save me, so I managed to return," Evan Yang said.

"The Immortal Oracle Agency? Aren’t they just information brokers? Why are they protecting the people they’re tracking?" Liam Willow found this strange.
