One Step One Kill

"They really showed up just like that!" Ryan Ling's heart jolted as he quickly looked toward Lily Liu and Angie Chen.

"Sis, Angie, you two move aside—leave everything else to me!"

"Ryan!" Angie Chen gazed at him with deep affection—she'd even switched how she addressed him. She quickly added, "Let Sis Sitian step aside, I'll help you!"

As she spoke, Angie Chen was about to rush forward.

"Enough, my sis doesn't know martial arts. You protect her, just make sure she doesn't get hurt!" Ryan said immediately.

"Fine, I just wanted to fight side by side with you, geez!" Angie Chen huffed, sounding a bit annoyed.

Ryan was speechless—Lily Liu was already starting to suspect something about their relationship, and yet Angie was still acting so clingy.

Sure enough, when he turned to look, Lily Liu's expression had clearly grown more serious.

"This idiot, sooner or later she's gonna blow our cover—and I haven't even done anything yet!" Ryan groaned inwardly. But with all this drama, there was no time to dwell; outside, several off-road vehicles had already stopped. In the rain, dozens of people surrounded Su's Pharmacy—all of them grandmasters, and the three in front were obviously stronger: peak yellow-realm grandmasters.

Normally, masters like these would be gods in Harbor City—but to Ryan, they're just the best of the trash.

Bang! The front door of Su's Pharmacy was smashed open in an instant.

In the rain, these guys looked like devils—their eyes immediately locked onto Angie Chen and Lily Liu with lecherous intent.

"Who just attacked Yvonne Su? Get your ass over here right now—don't play dumb with me!" one of the deputy Hall Masters said coldly.

"Me, Angie Chen—the only daughter of the Chen Family from the provincial capital!" With her personality, Angie couldn't possibly keep quiet at a time like this.

"Jinbiao Chen's daughter?" another deputy Hall Master said darkly.

"You know—so get lost unless you want to die!" Angie Chen shot back, totally fearless.

The Pill Hall elites were stunned at first, then immediately burst out laughing.

"Miss Chen, that attitude might work in the provincial capital, but don't forget—this is Harbor City, out of the emperor's reach. Your Chen Family means nothing here!"

"That's right. Even if we kill you right now, nobody would ever know."

...

“You really think you can touch me?” Angie Chen’s voice wavered just a little—clearly, she hadn’t expected these Pill Hall punks to actually say something so shameless.

“So what if we do? Don’t forget, we’re Pill Hall. We’ve got a million ways to fake the scene—no one would ever know. But with a hottie like you, even if we kill you, we’ll make sure all the brothers get a turn first!”

“Damn right! You’re a big-city babe, and the Azure Dragon Society boys have been drooling over you forever. Today you just waltzed right into our hands—ha! Jackpot!”

“Yeah, and you’ve got another beauty right next to you—two babes for us to play with. Once we’re done with you two, we’ll go after the Su family princess. Word is that Sophie Su is even hotter!”

The whole gang of Pill Hall scumbags burst out laughing, like they’d already won the lottery.

“Ryan, kill them for me. Kill every last one!” Angie Chen had never been humiliated like this before. Lily Liu’s face turned green, her fists clenched tight—these bastards were worse than bandits.

“Haha, did I hear that right? Kill us? Kill Azure Dragon Society guys? I’d like to see him try!”

“Nobody’s ever dared kill an Azure Dragon Society member. Kid, I know you—the Seven-City Martial Arts Tournament champ, Harbor City’s so-called strongest. Too bad, you’re still trash compared to us!”

“Yeah, what kind of champion are you? If I get pissed, I’ll wipe you out right now. Get on your knees and lick my toes—if you do a good job, maybe I’ll let you live!”

......

“Drop dead!” Ryan didn’t hesitate—he lunged like a wild beast. The guy who’d just demanded toe-licking was still laughing, and the next second his head went flying. Blood sprayed everywhere, fountain-style.

“Ahh!” Lily Liu had never seen anyone kill so directly—she fainted on the spot.

“Angie, look after my sis!” Ryan yelled, charging at the rest of the scum.

“Don’t worry—go ahead and kill, kill them all!” Angie Chen gritted her teeth. Those filthy words had really pissed her off.

“Everyone panic! This psycho actually dares kill Azure Dragon Society guys—he’s gonna get his whole family wiped out...”

A Pill Hall goon didn’t even finish his sentence before his whole body got ripped apart.

“Bastard! You killed two of us—you deserve to be chopped to bits...”

Another Pill Hall thug’s skull exploded like a watermelon.

“You son of a bitch, I’ll take you down with me!”

A third Pill Hall goon dropped dead.

Ryan moved like the Grim Reaper, eyes cold and merciless, mowing down Pill Hall goons—literally one step, one kill.

In just seconds, Ryan had slaughtered more than half the Pill Hall elites. The survivors didn’t dare say a word, didn’t even dare breathe too loud.

“Damn it, Second Bro, Third Bro—let’s go! My killer move’s ready, what about you guys?”

“We’re good to go, Boss!”

“Alright, you scrubs—get the hell back!”

The three Pill Hall deputy Hall Masters shouted in unison, their voices full of swagger. Clearly, they’d been holding back, charging up their ultimate moves—and now, they were finally ready to unleash.

“Ryan, be careful!” Lily Liu blinked awake, saw the carnage, and couldn’t help but worry.

“Don’t sweat it, Lily. Our Ryan’s a beast—these losers aren’t even a warm-up. Even if twice as many showed up, he’d still flatten them!” Angie Chen was totally confident.

“R-really?” Lily Liu gulped, not quite convinced.

“Absolutely! You can bet your life on it—these three mutts are about to lose their heads. Watch and learn!” Angie finished, and the lead deputy Hall Master started howling.

“Bullshit! Just a Jiangnan martial arts champ—he’s no god! Open your damn eyes and watch me crush him!” The guy barked, then turned to the other two deputy Hall Masters: “Bros, let’s go!”

“Got it!” The other two shouted in sync.

All three struck at once, palms slamming forward.

“Those yellow-realm grandmasters are nothing compared to our Ryan—” Angie started bragging, but halfway through, she froze. Lily Liu’s face went ghost-white.

With their attack, three freaky monsters burst from their palms—a snarling scorpion, a giant centipede, and a green poison toad. All top-tier venom beasts, floating in midair, their creepy eyes locked on Ryan.

“Wh-what the hell are those freaks?”

“Holy crap, look at the sky! Are those demons for real?”

“Azure Dragon Society is scary as hell. Fighting them is suicide—let’s bail!”

......

The Harbor City crowd had been pumped up watching Ryan fight, but now, seeing these freaky moves, everyone’s face turned green—they just wanted to run for their lives.

Angie Chen was stunned speechless—she’d totally underestimated Pill Hall’s power. After all, it was one of Azure Dragon Society’s top halls, with plenty of hidden aces up their sleeve.

“Ryan, watch out!” Angie finally sounded worried. These weird monsters weren’t just freaky—they were loaded with deadly poison.

Ryan sensed something off. These three weren’t super strong, but their tricks were nasty. Still, he didn’t panic.

Staying calm, Ryan instantly condensed the Infernal Madblade’s first form—Severing Desire. With a thought, a massive saber aura erupted overhead.

The three deputy Hall Masters went pale at the sudden burst of saber intent, but then exchanged glances and smirked—they clearly had more tricks up their sleeves, and weren’t scared anymore...
