Slaughter Them All the Way to the Sea Dragon Imperial Capital
Evan Chu's rampage on the battlefield naturally drew the attention of countless people—especially the enemy commanders, who now hated him to the bone.
"Kid, you're courting death!" an enemy commander roared in fury, his body blurring into a shadow as he lunged straight at Evan.
Evan knew full well how strong his opponent was, but he wasn’t worried. On a battlefield packed with people, it was easy to dodge—he instantly activated Shifting Position and flashed into the crowd.
Frostbane Sword in hand, Evan swept out streaks of sword light, crazily reaping enemy lives. His strength wasn’t the highest, but his speed was unmatched—he darted through the enemy ranks like a killing god.
The commander who tried to slay Evan barely managed a few steps before he was intercepted by a Heavenly Dragon Empire general. These generals were the backbone of the whole army—when one moved, the others followed suit.
Evan himself had lost count of how many enemies he’d killed. The third layer of his Starforge Body made him so tough that most foes couldn’t hurt him, and that freakish defense only made his slaughter more reckless—he charged straight into the enemy’s heart without even realizing it.
"Evan, get back here! You're way too deep—this is dangerous!" Luna’s voice sounded urgently in his mind; this kid really was impossible to keep out of trouble.
Evan froze for a second when he heard Luna, then glanced around—he really was surrounded by enemy troops. This time, he’d definitely gone too far.
Still, he wasn’t worried. The uniforms around him marked them as ordinary soldiers, not real experts—if he wanted to fight his way out, it’d be easy.
Stellar power surged wildly inside him as he unleashed Worldshroud Tempest—instantly killing or wounding several soldiers. Seizing the moment, he charged back toward his own side at full speed.
He kept unleashing Worldshroud Tempest over and over, now wielding the move with total ease. It barely cost him any Chaos Energy and, while not the most powerful technique, it was more than enough to wipe out ordinary soldiers.
Soon, he hacked out another bloody path and rejoined the Heavenly Dragon Empire troops. All of this was seen clearly by Roland Lowell and the other generals.
"Great General, this kid is really something. How did you spot him?" one general asked Roland.
"You mean him? He really is a rare talent. I just recruited him as a Royal Capital Guard when I got back this time," Roland said with a laugh.
"He doesn’t look that old. Why’d you bring him to this battlefield? This place is a blood-soaked hell—most people can’t handle it right away. But look at this kid, killing like it’s nothing, like he’s slaying dogs. The scariest part is his defense: after all this time, he hasn’t even been scratched," the general marveled.
"Actually, I didn’t bring him—he brought me. That giant golden bird is his flying beast companion, and it was him who bombarded the enemy with Skyshaker Bombs just now. Surprised?" Roland said, watching Evan battle fiercely in the distance.
"Him? You’re saying he completed the mission too? How is that possible?" one of the generals exclaimed in shock.
"That’s right. I specifically sent Generals Li and Zhang to protect him. If you don’t believe me, ask them yourself later."
"Just what kind of power does this kid have? How could he possibly pull off something like that? I really don’t buy it. The Sea Dragon army’s Skyshaker Bomb convoy must’ve had top experts guarding it—there’s no way he could’ve done it alone," the general argued.
"He couldn’t have done it alone, but with his friend, it was possible. The two of them killed both Yuetian Wu and Flynn Yun together. You should know exactly what that means."
Don’t underestimate him—he took first place in both the First and Second Trials of the Royal Capital Guard recruitment. He may only be in the Earth Martial Realm, but his combat power is easily above second-layer Heaven Martial," Roland said with a smile.
The generals fell silent at Roland’s words. Maybe this really was a once-in-a-generation prodigy. Each of them quietly resolved to get to know him—someone like that was destined to become a regional powerhouse someday, with limitless potential.
Evan, of course, had no idea Roland and the others were talking about him. Right now, he was in full bloodlust mode—the Sea Dragon Empire soldiers shrank back at the sight of him.
Soon, Evan spotted a familiar figure and grinned, quickly closing the distance. Seeing the wounds and blood on his friend, he called out, "Gavin Wei, you really dared to charge into battle too!"
Gavin was also deep in bloodlust. Hearing Evan’s voice, he paused, then turned and broke into a grin. "Dragon Bro, you’re back! That Skyshaker Bomb strike just now was your handiwork, right?"
"That’s right. Pretty awesome, huh?" Evan laughed, swinging his sword to cut down another soldier.
"It was terrifying! Dragon Bro, I worship you. You’ve killed so many—I can’t just stand around. How about we see who can rack up the bigger body count?" Gavin laughed.
"You’re on! I was just thinking the same thing. Let’s do it—starting now!" Evan grinned.
The two of them went wild, slaughtering every Sea Dragon Empire soldier in sight. Their frenzy fired up the Heavenly Dragon Empire troops around them, who fought even more fiercely. Before long, Evan and Gavin’s rampage started a wave—everyone nearby began fighting for their lives.
That fighting spirit was unstoppable. In less than half an hour, it spread through the entire Heavenly Dragon army—every soldier was in all-out mode. Roland and the other generals could only watch, stunned.
The Heavenly Dragon soldiers’ morale soared to the absolute peak, while the Sea Dragon troops plunged into despair—within moments, corpses littered the field.
By now, Evan had unleashed the eighth and ninth forms of his Windchaser Sword Art countless times—hundreds had already died beneath his blade.
The Sea Dragon experts desperately wanted to kill him, but every time they tried, Heavenly Dragon masters intercepted them.
It escalated into the first time in history that both armies’ top commanders brawled in the ranks. But the sides were evenly matched—no one could take down their counterpart easily. Martial arts flew in every direction, and countless soldiers—friend and foe alike—were caught in the carnage.
As the battle grew fiercer, more and more generals joined in, each finding a worthy opponent—duels erupted both on the ground and in the sky.
If Yuetian Wu were still here, the Sea Dragon side would never be in such chaos—he could handle five masters at once by himself. But now, without him, their generals were clearly weaker than Heavenly Dragon’s. It wasn’t long before two were badly wounded.
Flynn Qing watched the situation unfold, growing more anxious by the second. If this kept up, the casualties would be catastrophic. He didn’t dare make a move as long as Roland stayed put—he knew Roland’s strength all too well. In a duel, there was no telling who’d win; if he lost, the Sea Dragon army could be wiped out entirely.
In desperation, he roared, "Sound the retreat! Pull back now!"
The horn sounded across the battlefield. The Sea Dragon soldiers, already terrified by the Heavenly Dragon troops, bolted like their lives depended on it—as if their fathers had just died.
Seeing the enemy prepare to flee, Roland instantly unleashed his stellar power and bellowed, "All Heavenly Dragon warriors, attack with everything you’ve got! Chase them all the way to the Sea Dragon capital—let them know our empire’s might is sacred and inviolable!"
The battle cries shook the heavens as everyone charged after the fleeing Sea Dragon soldiers…
