Yvonne Wood

"Nether Sky Realm? What kind of place is that?" The group looked at each other, clearly having never heard of it.

"The Nether Sky Realm is far away. They achieve their goals by devouring other worlds, and their special powers restrict us humans," Evan Yang explained.

After listening to Evan Yang's explanation, the elder said, "I'm Jonas Chung. These are my companions, and we're all fighting against those terrifying forces."

"I’m Evan Yang," Evan replied.

"No matter what, you’ve helped us solve so many problems—we really have to thank you. We don’t know what the Nether Sky Realm is, but we believe you can help us defeat those forces," Jonas Chung said gratefully.

Evan Yang smiled, "We all have the same goal—to find the mastermind. I’ve heard his voice, but I’m not sure if you’ve seen him."

"Oh? That’s tricky. We don’t know how many strong experts they have behind them," Jonas Chung replied.

"It’s fine, just stay alert. They’re probably looking for me too, so I need helpers. I hope you’ll work with me," Evan Yang said.

"No problem, we’re ready to cooperate fully," Jonas Chung replied. Soon, many people gathered together, all set to assist Evan Yang.

With these people, Evan Yang had nothing to worry about. He shared his plan, then led them to clash with the main force of the spirit beasts. With Evan’s help, those forces were no match and were quickly uprooted. Soon, there were no spirit beast bases outside, and finally, everyone surrounded that place again.

Jonas Chung said, "Great! We can use that formation again to seal this place."

"I’ll leave it to you," Evan Yang hoped to use these people to seal the area, trapping the Nether Sky Abyss inside so he could slowly hunt down the mastermind.

Jonas Chung quickly led the Gods to activate the formation, repairing the old array and sealing the area again. The spirit beasts inside couldn’t escape anymore.

The master of the mysterious voice, seeing Evan Yang among the crowd, was furious. But he didn’t have enough power to fight so many people, and with the Nether Sky Abyss half-ruined, its strength was greatly diminished.

"Damn it! Why won’t this guy just die!" the voice cursed.

"Great master, what should we do now?" the spirit beasts asked.

"Retreat, all of you—fall back into the Nether Sky Abyss. Those humans can’t approach except for him," the voice’s master ordered. The mutant spirit beasts retreated like a receding tide.

Evan Yang sensed the spirit beasts retreating toward the Nether Sky Abyss. He also noticed that the Abyss still had power running inside and muttered, "Looks like I’ll have to go in and deal with it."

"We’ll go in with you," Jonas Chung said.

Evan Yang nodded and took a dozen Gods with him. Along the way, they passed piles of mutant spirit beast corpses. When they stopped outside the Nether Sky Abyss, the mysterious voice inside called out, "Didn’t expect you to still be alive."

The voice was clearly speaking to Evan Yang. Evan just smiled, "That’s right. Thanks to you, I survived—but it means you’re the one who’s about to die."

"Arrogant! You really think you can take me down? Dream on," the voice sneered.

"Who are you, pretending to be mysterious?" Jonas Chung said angrily.

"Useless! If not for him, you’d have been ruled by us already," the voice mocked.

"Stop hiding and talking from the shadows—come out and fight if you’ve got guts!" Jonas Chung shouted.

"I don’t need to come out. Any one of my battle commander spirit beasts can take you on," the voice said dismissively.

"Damn it, I don’t believe you’re really that tough!" Jonas Chung was furious and tried to charge in, but Evan Yang stopped him. "Don’t fall for his trap—you won’t survive in there."

Realizing that the Nether Sky Abyss was always a place you could enter but not leave safely, Jonas Chung calmed down.

"You’re right—I almost fell for it," Jonas Chung sighed. Just then, the voice inside cursed and then sneered, "What’s wrong? Chickened out?"

"There’s weird gas inside. If us humans go in, we’ll suffer. Why don’t you come out instead?" Jonas Chung suggested.

"I’m not stupid enough to come out. I’m ready for a final battle—today, I’ll send you all to your deaths!" The voice had decided to gamble everything. If victorious, he’d wipe out everyone here; if defeated, he’d have to leave.

He called over a few people, who quickly left their spots and started spreading Nether-Origin Force. In an instant, the force expanded, surrounding Jonas Chung and the others.

Evan Yang exclaimed in alarm, "Not good! Everyone, get close to me, quick!"

Even though they didn’t know what was happening, everyone realized it had to be serious, so they hurried over to Evan Yang.

Once everyone was gathered, Evan Yang released Heaven-Cold Qi, which pushed back the Nether-Origin Force, preventing the group from going insane.

Seeing Evan Yang’s Heaven-Cold Qi holding off the Nether-Origin Force, the mysterious voice was shocked. "Impossible!"

"Nothing’s impossible. Everyone, follow me inside—we’re taking those things apart!" Evan Yang said, walking forward and releasing more Heaven-Cold Qi so the group could keep up.

The group followed Evan Yang, and inside, the spirit beasts and Nether Sky Realm agents tried to resist them. After a few rounds, Evan’s side clearly had the upper hand.

Soon, the enemy was forced into a corner. The spirit beasts had already been wiped out, leaving only a few Nether Sky Realm people guarding the tunnel.

In front of the tunnel, Evan Yang finally saw the owner of the mysterious voice, but the figure was surrounded by Nether Sky Realm experts and energy, making it impossible to see their true face.

"Damn human! If you’ve got guts, tell me your name! I swear I won’t let you get away with this!" the enemy shouted angrily.

"Name’s Evan Yang. But do you really think you can escape today?" Evan blocked their path, but they’d already activated the tunnel. One by one, the Nether Sky Realm agents vanished. The leader snarled, "Just wait, Evan Yang! You ruined our operation—you won’t have a good ending!"

After that, the voice faded away, and the tunnel vanished. Instantly, all the Nether-Origin Force in the area disappeared along with it.

Everything returned to normal. Jonas Chung, seeing the Nether Sky Abyss disappear after so many years, was thrilled. Everyone thanked Evan Yang, inviting him to visit their stronghold, but Evan politely declined.

Watching everyone leave, Evan Yang muttered, "Is it really over just like that?"

He walked up to where the tunnel had been, hardly believing it had vanished into thin air. Just as he was about to leave, he noticed something odd at the site. Evan checked it out and sensed something was off. He linked up with the Realm-Shuttle Pen and sneered, "Careless—left a tail behind. Well, let’s see how I track you down."

Just as Evan Yang was delighting in his discovery at the old tunnel site, a young woman appeared. She had been among the crowd earlier and thanked him, "Really, thank you."

"No problem. Why haven’t you left yet?" Evan Yang asked curiously.

"My companions vanished here, so I thought I’d look around. I circled the area but didn’t find anything, and then saw you hadn’t left either," she replied with a smile.

"Makes sense. Things got pretty chaotic this time—maybe you’ll find them in the outskirts. Go take a look," Evan suggested.

"Alright." She smiled, then continued, "Would you mind helping me search?"

"Sorry, I’ve got something to take care of right now, so I can’t leave. My apologies," Evan Yang said.

"In that case, never mind. Let me introduce myself," the woman said with a smile.

"Hmm?" Evan Yang was about to listen when suddenly the woman produced a whip, which instantly wrapped around Evan and tightened. The attack was so sudden he barely had time to react. Confused, Evan wondered why someone he’d just helped would attack him and asked, "What’s the meaning of this?"

"Let me introduce myself properly. Wood Estate, Yvonne Wood, current God. I’ve been waiting for this chance for ages—watching you show off all the way here, never had a shot. Now I finally get my turn," she sneered.

"So that’s who you are!" Evan Yang was surprised—he hadn’t expected the Wood Family’s God to finally show up.

"Kid, I’ll admit you’re impressive. You managed to strip away my avatar’s control, and you led everyone to defeat the Nether Sky Realm. Interesting," Yvonne Wood said with a smile.

"Your cultivation technique is messed up—using people as furnaces, especially your own kin?" Evan Yang snorted.

"That’s just how it is. If you want progress, you have to practice. As for furnaces, even six kin can be sacrificed—and besides, she’s not my blood relative anyway," Yvonne Wood replied with a grin.

"Not your kin? What are you talking about?" Evan Yang asked suspiciously.

"Before you die, I’ll be honest. Melody Wood was just an orphan I picked up and had the family raise. Everyone thought she was one of us," Yvonne Wood said, smiling.

"That explains it. Still, that’s no way to cultivate. Your avatar’s done for, and coming after me won’t help you," Evan Yang laughed.

"Won’t help? Who says? I’ll wipe your memory and use your body as a sacrificial furnace!" Yvonne Wood snorted.

"Oh yeah? You really think you can control me with this? You’re seriously underestimating me," Evan Yang sneered.

Yvonne Wood was still wondering what Evan Yang would do when he suddenly summoned a sword. As soon as it appeared, it slashed through the whip—cutting it clean in an instant. For Yvonne, seeing her supposedly indestructible whip destroyed was a huge blow.

"Don’t get too worked up. This is just the beginning—the real show’s about to start," Evan Yang said with a cold smile.
