Where Is Your Hand Placed
"They’re not running away?" Sean Shaw asked.
"Not only do they not run, they actually scramble to be my medicine," Lucia Lu replied.
"That’s pretty weird…"
For some reason, Lucia suddenly felt like she was just another Zao Fish.
Her mood soured, and she turned to leave.
Sean teleported and blocked her way.
"What are you doing?"
He didn’t say a word, just looked at her with those smoldering eyes.
"If you’ve got something to say, just say it! Why are you blocking my way?"
He slowly reached out and grabbed her arm.
Lucia’s heart skipped a beat: "..."
Just then, the Celestial Emperor called out, "Little Five, Lucia, let’s go!"
Sean glared at his dad, his face dark. He muttered, "Let’s go."
Quentin Lian agreed to take them inside.
Lucia quietly sent a sound transmission: "Father, why did you agree again?"
"After you left, the Celestial Emperor begged me himself," Quentin said. "Of course I had to give him some face, right?"
Oh…
At the white-robed woman’s cave, the Celestial Emperor told Lucia and Sean to wait outside while the three elders went in.
Lucia craned her neck to look inside. From afar, she could see the Celestial Emperor and Divine Lord Tanya Quinn standing respectfully outside the cave, bowing and addressing the woman as "Senior."
"In this world, the only people who can make His Majesty the Celestial Emperor bow are the Empress Dowager and this woman," Lucia muttered.
“There’s also Lord Noctis,” a voice sounded right by her ear. “He bows whenever he meets Lord Noctis in private, too.”
Lucia turned her head and saw him standing right behind her, one hand pressed against the wall, completely boxing her in.
Why are you standing so close?
And where exactly are you putting your hand?
Sean caught her looking and asked, cool as ever, “What’s wrong?”
Lucia was just about to say something when, out of nowhere, chaos broke loose on the other side.
A blast of dark energy exploded out, sending the Celestial Emperor and the other two flying backwards. They staggered, barely managing to steady themselves.
“Father!” Lucia teleported over to catch him. “Are you okay?”
Quentin waved her off, insisting he was fine.
Lucia looked toward the cave’s entrance, searching for the woman inside.
She was wrapped in swirling black qi, her eyes dangerously seductive, her whole aura radiating terrifying demonic energy.
Last time Lucia saw her, she’d seemed so pretty and gentle.
How did she end up looking like a completely different person?
The woman in the cave noticed Lucia too.
Their eyes met—and the demonic aura around her slowly faded.
Tanya Quinn saw this and tried again, pleading, “Please, Senior, don’t be angry! This really is a matter of life and death for all the realms. If you have any request, just say it—we’ll bring the full force of the Three Divine Realms to make it happen. Isn’t that right, Your Majesty?”
“Yes, yes, yes!” The Celestial Emperor nodded so hard his head might fall off.
The woman in white stared at them coldly for a long moment before saying, “Let me out.”
“It’s not that I don’t want to let you out,” the Celestial Emperor said, “but the Dragon-Coiling Heavenly Gang Array is truly unsolvable. You know that better than anyone, as a master of formations.”
“Then get out,” she said, shutting her eyes again, done with them.
The Celestial Emperor and Tanya Quinn exchanged looks, totally at a loss, but neither dared say another word.
Earlier, after explaining everything, they’d only tried pleading a couple of times.
But one impatient flare from her, and a Celestial Emperor, a Divine Lord, and a peak High God were all tossed out on their butts.
“What now?” Tanya Quinn whispered to the Celestial Emperor over sound transmission. “Do we just leave?”
But the Celestial Emperor wasn’t ready to give up. He sent a transmission to Lucia and Sean: “Little Five, Lucia, you juniors go and shamelessly beg her again.”
