The Chaos Giant Apes were incredibly tenacious, chasing Ian Song and the Winter Emperor for a full five days without giving up.
This left Ian feeling extremely frustrated.
He really wanted to turn around and wipe out the entire troop of Chaos Giant Apes.
But in the end, he suppressed that urge. There were too many unknowns in the Chaos Wasteland, and while being hunted, he repeatedly sensed the presence of other powerful chaos creatures.
If he got into a fight with the Chaos Giant Apes, there was a good chance that other chaos creatures would ambush him, putting him in serious danger.
But running away all the time wasn’t a real solution either.
So Ian decided he had to teach these Chaos Giant Apes a lesson, make them realize it was better to give up.
Thus, while fleeing, he laid down all sorts of divine arrays along the way.
As a result, more than ten Chaos Giant Apes blundered into his formations and suffered badly.
Over the next few days, even though the Chaos Giant Apes grew more cautious, they still fell into Ian’s arrays multiple times. In the end, they reached one conclusion: there was no way to deal with this ‘god’.
So, after roaring at Ian in frustration, they finally retreated.
"Damn, they finally scrammed!"
Ian breathed a sigh of relief.
Knowing how troublesome chaos creatures could be, Ian deliberately avoided places where their auras were dense. So for the next month, nothing happened.
One day,
Ian and the Winter Emperor were passing by a vast ocean when they noticed the waters were anything but calm—giant waves were crashing and roaring.
He could sense that two powerful presences were clashing in this Chaos Sea.
Judging by their auras, both chaos creatures had upper-segment God Emperor-level strength.
Ian wasn’t particularly curious about this.
He was about to take a detour when he sensed the two auras rapidly approaching his direction.
