Xiska Mon always knew those men had special feelings for her, but what he never expected was that all of them were actually her husbands?!
As for this whole one-wife-many-husbands thing, he’d heard of it before—there were a handful of such people in the Soaring Phoenix Realm.
But those women were usually either rich or noble, and even then, most of their husbands weren’t all that impressive—because most outstanding men just couldn’t stand sharing. But now, what’s going on? They’re all her husbands?!
Looking at these seven guys, each with their own personality, devilishly handsome and totally extraordinary, Xiska Mon was honestly shocked. How could men this amazing tolerate each other’s presence?!
“Sorry, my household’s already way too full, there’s no room for anyone else.” Ivy Shen shrugged at him, then paused and continued, “You’ve got so many women in your harem—why not just enjoy being an emperor? Why bother getting involved with me?”
Hearing that, Xiska Mon suddenly felt a sharp pang in his heart.
“Xin’er, wifey!” The seven men looked at Ivy Shen with genuine smiles. They’d walked through so much together, and now, they couldn’t tolerate anyone else intruding.
“What if... I refuse?” Xiska Mon paused, his voice a bit cold. After speaking, he looked at her seriously, waiting for her answer. He didn’t know why she needed that sword, but it was obviously super important!
“You won’t.” Ivy Shen looked at him and answered with total certainty.
“Huh?” Faced with her confidence, Xiska Mon was briefly stunned. Then, sounding pretty annoyed, he shot back, “And what makes you so sure?”
Seeing the situation, Ivy Shen smiled, turned to her seven husbands, and teased, "Look at you guys—so rough! You even broke the door. Shouldn't you go find Fire God and get someone to fix it?"
At her words, the seven men exchanged glances—they totally got that she was telling them to leave.
"Alright then." Adrian Night nodded. As the first one through the door, he gracefully led the others away.
"Wait, why do we have to go? Leaving wifey here alone is dangerous! Hey—hey, why are you dragging me?" Butterfly Rogue complained loudly, but Lucian Vane just hauled him out anyway. Is this guy actually an idiot or what?!
Earlier, Xiska Mon had told people not to come near. Now, with the seven husbands gone, the room was quiet again.
Neither of them spoke. Xiska Mon had no clue what she was up to, but he didn’t stop her or say anything—just waited for her to speak.
Ivy Shen walked over to the window. The third floor was high up, and the breeze here was way stronger than anywhere else. Plus, the top of the Flame Valley Palace had this modern heat-shielding design, so standing here, she didn’t feel hot at all.
Looking out at the distant yellow sands, Ivy Shen took a deep breath and softly called out, "Screwball."
"Huh?" Hearing her gentle voice out of nowhere, Xiska Mon froze, then instinctively walked over to her side.
"You like me, don’t you?" Ivy Shen said lightly. Before he could answer, she smiled. "Actually, it’s not really 'liking'—it’s more like possession and curiosity." Then she turned her head to look at Xiska Mon, who’d come up beside her. "You’ve never met a woman like me before, so you’re curious, surprised, even delighted. And naturally, you want to possess, right?"
"I don't know if you've ever truly loved someone in all these years, but I want you to know—I have. Deeply, deeply loved."
"Those seven?" Xiska Mon blurted out without thinking.
"Yes." Ivy Shen nodded, then asked him seriously, "If loving me meant giving up your status, would you do it? If loving me meant sharing me with them, would you do it? If my life was always in danger, if I could die at any moment, would you still want me?"
...
Ivy Shen gave a self-mocking laugh and looked at him. "You hesitated, didn't you? But let me tell you—all seven of them said yes. Deep down, you know I'm not just some ordinary woman, right? Otherwise, you wouldn't have come all this way for the Ten-Thousand-Year Iron Sword. My life is full of danger, but those seven have faced life and death with me. They've given up everything for me, just for pure love."
"They..." Xiska Mon’s heart trembled a little. Sure, he liked her, but could he really be generous enough to share? And would he have to give up being king?!
"They're just that crazy." Ivy Shen said, "Let me tell you—among those seven, one's the emperor of Chu Kingdom, one's the crown prince of Endless Indulgence Kingdom, one's the master of Ice Palace, one's the heir to the poison doctor clan, one's the Storm Command Token’s guardian, one's the current top scholar, and one's the descendant of a vanished royal house. Their status in the Central Plains is huge. Chu Kingdom, you know, is neck-and-neck with the Soaring Phoenix Realm. Their emperor is running around with me, gave up his whole harem for me."
Hearing this, Xiska Mon’s face was beyond shocked. He’d never been to the Central Plains, but he knew all about those powerful sects—his realm kept messengers gathering info from outside just to stay connected. These identities were enough to blow his mind.
"They... seriously?" From the start, he’d seen they weren’t ordinary—each one had serious presence, and some even felt like royalty. But he’d always brushed that off. Royalty here? No way! How could a king end up in this place?
But he never imagined his gut feeling was right—there were actually two kings among them!
"You will, as long as you believe," Ivy reassured him.
Seeing this, Xiska Mon nodded. Forcing things wasn’t the best ending. This woman deserved his respect, and those men truly deserved his admiration.
"Since you trust me so much, I’ll make the sword for you. But it really can’t be done in a day or two—even without rest, the fastest is half a month, maybe up to forty days," Xiska Mon said honestly.
"Huh? That long?" Ivy Shen frowned. She had so many important things to do—she couldn’t just wait here forever.
Xiska Mon seemed to understand and smiled. "You must have a lot to do, right? How about this—if you trust me, I’ll personally bring the sword to the Soaring Phoenix Realm in half a month. Also, once the Ten-Thousand-Year Iron Sword clashes with the Ten-Thousand-Year Iron Chain, both will break. In that instant, the person holding the sword will be wounded by its energy, meaning no one else can wield it." He smiled meaningfully. "I’ve never left the valley or taken risks. As a condition for making the sword, will you take me on an adventure to rescue that mysterious person you mentioned?"
"You’re not afraid?" Ivy asked.
"Afraid of what? I’m really curious. Besides, only I can handle this sword." Xiska Mon smiled nonchalantly. What he didn’t expect was that when he finally met that mysterious woman, he’d fall hopelessly, completely in love...
So, love really is something indescribable, yet so sweet.
