Stormtower City was much like Rainbow Court City—its walls visible from afar. Even though Evan Lin called out Lena Zhong’s name from a great distance, with his current strength, everyone within several hundred kilometers could hear him clearly.
At that moment, Lena Zhong was sitting idly in her boudoir. Evan’s voice rang out crystal clear to her; it was like heavenly music, making her shiver all over. She stood up abruptly, her face full of confusion as she looked out the window, half thinking she was imagining things.
But she quickly dashed out of her room and, spotting a maid, immediately asked, “Did you just hear someone calling my name?”
"I think I heard someone call for you, Miss, but it was only once. I can't be sure," the maid replied.
Lena’s heart was pounding in her throat. She was certain Evan had arrived, but to be sure, she asked another servant—and again, they had only heard it once.
At this moment, Lena’s face was flushed with excitement. Without hesitation, she soared into the sky and flew toward the city outskirts. As she left, Master Wan and two elders also emerged and took flight—they too had heard Evan’s voice.
Soon, Evan Lin and Blue-Shade God-Venerable arrived at the city gate. Before they could enter, a beautiful young woman descended from the sky and, without a second thought, threw herself into Evan’s arms. Blue-Shade, standing to the side, felt a bit awkward and had to step back.
Evan really did have a lot of women. He’d just parted with Monica, and now Lena Zhong was here, not to mention Roxanne Lin with the Divine Phoenix Bloodline, the reincarnated Qilin Princess, plus Elena Rainveil and the two rescued from the Slave Ward. That made six already, and every one of them was a beauty of the God Realm—as if he’d collected all its beauties himself.
"Evan, I knew you’d come. I’ve been waiting for you all this time," Lena said softly, her voice trembling with excitement.
"Lena, let go of me. This isn’t proper for a young lady—if people see, it’ll hurt your reputation. You need to watch yourself! Besides, my elder brother’s right here. Do you want to give him a laugh?" Evan said gently.
Lena Zhong reluctantly let go of Evan Lin, her cheeks flushed, and said, "I couldn't help myself when I saw you. Even if my father saw me like this, he wouldn't say anything."
"Of course I wouldn't say anything! If Lena can find the man she truly loves, what could I possibly complain about? Hahaha!" Master Wan's voice rang out from behind Lena Zhong.
Soon, Master Wan and two elders appeared before Evan Lin, Lena Zhong, and Blue-Shade. Evan Lin greeted respectfully, "Greetings, Master Wan! Greetings, Elders!"
"No need for so many formalities, Evan Lin! Anyone who comes to Stormtower is our honored guest, and Blue-Shade is also a valued friend. Come, let's talk inside Stormtower. Today is truly a joyous occasion! Hahaha!" Master Wan said heartily.
At that moment, Lena Zhong was still clutching Evan Lin's hand tightly. "Evan Lin, let's go! I'll take you to see my back garden—you're sure to be amazed!" she said.
Evan Lin felt a bit awkward. Lena Zhong still acted like a child, not caring about propriety, and he was just about to refuse when Master Wan laughed and said, "Evan Lin, you should go with Lena. Her back garden is a place almost no one gets to enter—you should treasure the opportunity. Even I’m not allowed in there."
Lena Zhong smiled, "Dad, you always say that, but when have I ever stopped you from going in? You just never wanted to! I never blocked you."
With that, Evan Lin and the others entered Stormtower. Lena Zhong pulled Evan Lin straight toward her back garden—a secluded courtyard of about a hundred square meters.
There was a door at the back of the courtyard, locked tight. Just as Master Wan had said, getting inside was no easy task.
Lena Zhong took out a key, unlocked the door, and pushed it open. "Evan Lin, come in. You'll definitely be amazed once you're inside," she said.
Evan Lin didn’t think much of it—a back garden hardly seemed worth all this fuss. Still, he didn’t want to spoil Lena Zhong’s excitement, so he smiled, "Alright, let’s go. I’m curious to see what kind of surprise Lena has prepared for me."
Once inside, Evan Lin felt as if he had stepped into the inner world of his Timewheel Bracelet. The divine energy was incredibly rich, and all around him were rare plants and flowers he couldn’t even name, blooming in dazzling colors.
But what truly stunned him was the small artificial mountain in the garden, inlaid with countless multicolored stones—not ordinary rocks, but elemental energy crystals of various attributes, some even up to fifth-grade quality. Gathering so many was no easy feat.
Elemental crystals were rare to begin with, and collecting this many must have taken Lena Zhong decades. Gentle streams of water flowed down the mountain and into a pool below, filling the air with the soothing sound of trickling water.
"Evan Lin, isn’t it amazing? But this is still not the real surprise—the best part is further inside. Come on!" Lena Zhong grinned, tugging him along.
Evan Lin didn’t refuse and followed Lena Zhong for dozens of meters. Ahead was a wall covered in neat green turf—at first glance, nothing special. Evan Lin glanced at Lena Zhong, as if to say, "Is this really the surprise?"
Lena Zhong understood his look and laughed. "You’ll see soon. It took me nearly fifty years to finish this, and it wore me out!"
With that, Lena Zhong walked up to the grass wall and gently pushed. The turf seemed to grow legs and quickly retreated, vanishing in a few breaths—an almost magical sight.
With the grass gone, the wall’s true form was revealed—a massive, beautiful white artifact screen, spotless and unadorned.
At that moment, Lena Zhong sent a strand of white light from her hand into the screen. Instantly, the screen glowed and emitted a sound, and a painted image appeared.
In the painting, a man and a woman held hands beneath a beautiful waterfall, gazing at the scenery together. Evan Lin looked closely—the two were himself and Lena Zhong, painted so vividly it felt as if they were truly inside the image.
"Evan Lin, the most wonderful part is about to begin. Close your eyes—I’ve waited so long for this moment. Now I can finally realize it. My heart is overflowing with happiness," Lena Zhong said softly.
