A Hidden World

Evan Lin was completely baffled by Lena Zhong’s words. Just as he was about to ask her what was going on, a massive pulling force surged out from the Testing Screen, like a teleportation gate, yanking his entire body uncontrollably inside.

Inside the screen, the world was exactly the same as what he’d seen outside—only now it was real. A waterfall thundered down from a towering cliff, spraying mist and water everywhere, while birdsong and the fragrance of flowers filled the air, making it feel like a hidden paradise.

Evan felt that this place was nearly as good as his own Timewheel Bracelet. Lena Zhong stood quietly at his side, watching his reaction; she wanted to see what kind of expression her beloved man would show, and if her years of effort would truly amaze him.

After a long moment, Evan finally said, “Lena, how did you do all this? Did you really create it yourself? If so, that’s honestly incredible.”

Lena Zhong laughed, “So now you see how amazing I am, Linfeng? Of course this is my masterpiece! I spent nearly fifty years on it. The ‘screen’ you saw is actually a giant Space-Void Stone, though its internal world is limited. It already had a cliff and waterfall—I just remodeled it to make it perfect.”

“This Space-Void Stone was probably left by a God Realm powerhouse from ancient times. I found it by chance, and that’s when I got the idea. Are you amazed?” Lena asked with a smile.

“I am amazed. Closing up here to cultivate would be fantastic—the environment is beautiful, and the divine energy is abundant. You really put your heart into this,” Evan replied.

“There’s a huge advantage to cultivating here—the flow of time is different. Ten days outside equals one day inside. I plan to train here from now on, and since you’re at Stormtower, you can use it too. This is our private world, just for the two of us,” Lena said.

Evan didn’t answer right away. The time ratio here was only ten to one, while his Timewheel Bracelet had a hundred to one—far superior. Still, he kept quiet, not wanting to spoil Lena’s happiness.

Seeing Evan silent for so long, Lena asked, “Linfeng, what are you thinking? Why aren’t you saying anything? Are you deciding whether to stay and cultivate with me? You’re already stronger than I am—I’ve really got to work hard to catch up.”

“Lena, I came to Stormtower this time for important business. I won’t be able to stay long, so I can only accept your kindness in my heart. But I promise you, one day your wish will come true. It’s just not the right moment yet—I have too many responsibilities. I hope you’ll understand,” Evan said.

A flicker of disappointment crossed Lena’s face, but it quickly vanished. “Linfeng, as long as you accept me, I’ll be satisfied. I’m willing to wait for you! Back when you were chosen by Zoe in the Zoe Marriage Tournament, my heart nearly shattered—it hurt so much, like being cut by countless blades.”

“But after you secretly sent me your true feelings, I calmed down. I know you’re a man who keeps his word, so I decided to do something that would truly astonish you.”

Evan didn’t say anything more. To be recognized by a woman like this was no easy thing, especially since she didn’t even know his real identity yet—if she did, she’d be utterly shocked. He decided not to reveal it now, but to wait until the time was right.

Evan gently pulled Lena into his arms. The two of them just stood there quietly, watching the majestic waterfall cascade down. It really did have that ‘three thousand feet straight down, like the Milky Way falling from heaven’ kind of grandeur.

“Linfeng, wait for me a moment!” Lena said softly, gently pushing Evan away.

She turned around, took out a green bottle from her storage ring, uncorked it, poured out a little green liquid, and rubbed it onto her palms—then onto her face.

After a few breaths, she stopped and slowly turned to him. “Am I beautiful?” Those simple words left Evan momentarily at a loss for how to answer.

Lena had restored her true appearance—the beauty of a God Realm divine maiden. If Yvonne and Lynn were peonies, and Monica and Elena were roses, then Lena was a peony-rose hybrid. ‘Beautiful’ wasn’t enough to describe her; even words failed to do her justice.

“Beautiful! So beautiful! Beautiful like a fairy untouched by mortal dust—so beautiful that once you see her, you never want to look away. It’s like my whole heart has been stolen by you,” Evan finally said.

Lena laughed, “I knew you’d react this way. Do you remember what I said before?”

“I remember. You said you’d only show your true face to the one you truly loved. I’ve felt your love for a long time—even without your real appearance, you were already in my heart,” Evan replied softly.

Unable to hold back, Lena threw herself into Evan’s arms, her voice choked with emotion. “I don’t need your whole heart—just a small corner is enough. You’re so outstanding, the ideal man in countless girls’ hearts. I’m so lucky just to have met you.”

Evan couldn’t help but gently kiss Lena’s flawless face. Her cheeks instantly turned crimson, and she looked at him excitedly. “Linfeng, can we save the most beautiful moment for our wedding night?”

Evan was momentarily stunned—he hadn’t expected Lena to say such a thing. “Of course. Let’s head out... Actually, how do we leave this place?”

Lena waved her hands lightly, sending out a beam of white light toward the waterfall. Instantly, the water split to both sides, revealing a passage that looked just like a teleportation gate.

“Let’s go—that’s the exit. This place is really mysterious; if you don’t know the way, it’s almost impossible to get out,” Lena said with a smile.

The two of them stepped apart, and in a flash, they arrived at the exit. A powerful pulling force swept them out, and they reappeared outside. The Testing Screen once again showed their figures.

Soon, the screen changed back into a grass wall, looking perfectly natural. Such ingenious, seamless design—all crafted by Lena herself. Evan never would have guessed.

They didn’t linger. Evan and Lena left together, heading toward Stormtower’s side hall—Lena knew her father, Master Wan, had already prepared a banquet to welcome Evan.
