Preparing for the Engagement Dissolution Reception
Yina Yin's words made Miles Gu's face suddenly change.
This was the last thing Miles Gu wanted to face.
Just as Miles Gu was about to speak, his mind suddenly went blank, and his body was instantly out of control!
Seeing Miles Gu just standing there in a daze, not saying anything, Yina Yin thought he had given up. She gave a bitter smile and said, "If there's nothing else, I'll head back first. Sakura has roped all of us into helping out."
Miles Gu still didn't say anything.
Yina Yin let out a barely noticeable sigh, didn't look back, and just walked away.
Miles Gu watched helplessly as Yina Yin left. He wanted to call out to her, but his body wouldn't move, and he couldn't speak.
In the vast open space, apart from the nearly ripe crops, Miles Gu was the only one left.
Miles Gu wanted to call for help, but there was nothing he could do.
He felt as if his body was frozen. Other than being able to breathe, he was already like a wooden puppet.
Just then, a sudden voice echoed in his mind: "Who are you? Why are you controlling my body? Why are you taking over my life?"
He was stunned.
That voice... was it...?
The Primary Persona!
The Second Persona had never imagined that while he was in control, the Primary Persona would actually wake up!
This was impossible!
"I heard what you just said to Yina. Answer me. Why is my fiancée having you break off the engagement?" The Primary Persona of Miles Gu spoke, his voice brimming with barely contained anger.
"You woke up? You actually woke up? Weren't you hypnotized and trapped?" The Second Persona's voice also echoed in his mind.
"Hypnotized? Trapped?" The Primary Persona of Miles Gu's voice suddenly rose, then suppressed itself: "What's going on?"
Miles Gu's Second Persona was stunned for a long time and couldn't say a word.
But as the Second Persona listened, he couldn't help but shiver instinctively.
"Second Persona, listen up. I don't care that you've taken over my body. But if you dare do even the slightest harm to Yina, I'll fight you to the bitter end—even if it means both of us go down together. I won't let you off."
"Who are you trying to scare? If we both go down, we'll just end up as idiots!"
"So what? At least if Miles Gu becomes an idiot, he won't be able to hurt Yina anymore."
"You..."
"Remember this. I won't let you hurt her—not even a little." The Primary Persona had been present long enough, and his voice was full of exhaustion.
The soul's suppression and restraint forced the Primary Persona to disappear again after a few dozen seconds.
Once the Primary Persona's pressure was gone, the Second Persona regained control of the body.
Miles Gu wiped the sweat from his forehead. Only heaven knew how much pressure he felt facing the Primary Persona.
It really was the Primary Persona!
Even if he didn't want to admit it, he had to—there was a gap between their souls he could never hope to bridge!
He was so unwilling to accept it!
Hmph, no matter how fierce the Primary Persona is, it's all just a façade!
Without the hypnosis medium, the Primary Persona will never truly wake up!
As long as he doesn't voluntarily give up this body, the Primary Persona won't be able to take control!
So, what is there to be afraid of? There's nothing scary at all!
But... about Yina breaking off the engagement...
Miles Gu's eyes dimmed. He knew there was no turning back, so he swung his arm hard and turned to leave.
Behind him, the autumn wind blew and waves of flowers rippled, as if witnessing the breakup between Miles Gu and Yina Yin.
Yina Yin returned to the kitchen, ready to continue the inventory.
Gavin Gao came in from outside, carrying a fruit basket and walking in cheerfully. "Hey, hey, you must be exhausted. These are freshly picked fruits—try some!"
Yina Yin put down her tablet, called Bluey over for a drink of water, and said, "Not now, I still have to finish the inventory. All these items were transferred from the old house, each one is unique. If I lose even one, the whole set is ruined. They're all my mom's treasures."
"Eating doesn't slow you down. Look, I've already washed them for you." Gavin Gao patted Bluey's mechanical head and said, "Bluey, could you bring your brother a plate?"
"Sure!" Bluey, the little cutie, dashed to the kitchen, stretched out his mechanical arm, grabbed several plates, and without waiting for Gavin Gao's instructions, automatically sorted the fruit, plated it, and delivered it to Yina Yin.
"Such a cutie." Gavin Gao praised Bluey.
"Gavin Gao, you're a big cutie too!" Bluey made sure to praise Gavin Gao back.
"Hahaha!" Gavin Gao couldn't help but say to Yina Yin, "Where did you get such a treasure? It's so much fun."

Yina Yin's previously relaxed expression suddenly turned serious.
Bluey wasn't this smart when he was first bought.
Later, Miles Gu rewrote his program...
It's really annoying.
The Primary Persona of Miles Gu is gone, but the traces he left are everywhere.
Even if she wanted to forget, she couldn't.
"If this smart robot goes into mass production, I'll be the first to place an order." Gavin Gao kept talking, completely unaware of the sadness in Yina Yin's eyes.
"When my company starts production, you'll get the first one." Yina Yin grabbed an apple and stood up. "Thanks for the fruit, I'm going back to work."
With that, Yina Yin turned and left.
Gavin Gao's smile froze on his face.
Did he just say something wrong?
Why did Yina suddenly get upset?
Gavin Gao looked at Bluey, who gazed back at him adorably, waiting for instructions.
"That's all, Bluey. Go on with your work." Gavin Gao finally said after a moment.
"Okay!" Bluey spun around and dashed off to do the cleaning.
All day long, the villa was bustling with activity.
The servants cleaned every corner of Sunset Manor, inside and out.
They replaced the old carpets with brand new handmade ones.
All the old tableware and teacups were swapped out for new ones.
The food stored in the manor was all updated to the latest date.
Both the servants and workers changed into brand new uniforms.
"Here, and over here—make sure to clean these tricky corners, then do some pest control." Sakura Miller walked through every corner of the villa, instructing the workers: "Autumn is the worst season for mosquito bites, so make sure the job is done right. We can't let the guests get bitten."
"Yes, Manager Sakura." The workers all nodded.
"For disinfection, use mild-scented disinfectant." Sakura Miller pointed to the window corner. "Make sure to ventilate well these days. Don't let any lingering smell stay in the rooms."
"Yes, Manager Sakura."
"And here..." Sakura Miller pointed out problem after problem and offered solutions, and the workers quickly got to work as she instructed.
After a whole day, Sakura Miller felt like her body was about to fall apart.
Exhausted.
Preparing a banquet is always a thankless job.
Besides, Sakura Miller didn't want anything to go wrong at this banquet, and she especially didn't want the Yin Family to be laughed at.
So she watched every detail herself to make sure nothing went wrong.
Jing Shaohuai and the others worked tirelessly under Sakura Miller's direction, each responsible for a different area, checking again and again to make sure everything was perfect.
By dinner time, the whole family collapsed on the sofa, unable to move.
"Ah, I'm so tired! I never thought hosting a banquet would be this much trouble. At home, I only had to talk, and the housekeeper handled everything. I never realized how much work it was." Jing Shaohuai sighed, "From now on, I'm going to host fewer banquets, so I don't give them so much trouble."
"Now I know how hard Sakura Miller works!" Mu Ziyue echoed, "So many little things, and she remembers every single one."
"Exactly. Do you think being the chief assistant is easy?" Yina Yin lounged on the sofa, her long legs stretched out, while Gavin Gao peeled fruit for her.
"That's true." Shang Xiaojin nodded. "There are only a handful of top chief assistants in the industry."
"Sakura Miller, you work so hard!" Everyone exclaimed as Sakura Miller walked in.
Sakura Miller took the hot towel from the servant, wiped her hands, and smiled. "You guys are acting like this after just one day of work? Come on, don't be dramatic. Tomorrow won't be so busy. The basics are done, so all that's left is arranging things one by one."
Then Sakura Miller turned to Yin Yuhan. "Starting tomorrow, people will start arriving early. As a member of the Yin Family, it's your duty to greet them."
