Empress Myra, still fuming, said, "It's fine. We're not dealing with a God—I only need a portion of their power."
General Hugh weighed the situation and replied, "Alright. But if you notice any signs of backlash, you must stop immediately."
"Of course I know that. Come on, let's go," Empress Myra said.
"Alright," General Hugh answered.
General Hugh followed Empress Myra to the monster specimen tower. The two stood before the barrier, and General Hugh said, "I'll wait here. I hope you come out safely."
"Got it. Keep watch here. I'm heading down now," Empress Myra said. With a wave of her hand, she vanished from sight.
When she reappeared, she was already underground. Down below, demonic qi surged wildly, and strange, eerie cries echoed from time to time.
Empress Myra walked to the edge of a cliff underground and muttered, "Dark-Yin Clan, grant me your strength."
A surge of black power rose from below the cliff and poured directly into her right arm. Her right hand crackled as a thin layer of scales appeared, growing until the scales fully matured. Empress Myra said, "Stop."
The power stopped pouring in, and her arm returned to its original appearance.
"Kid, just wait. I'm coming for you," Empress Myra said, her eyes shining with power after absorbing the strength.
In an inn, Evan Yang had just finished explaining his purpose from beginning to end. Melody Wood had no objections, but Lynn Lin was left with a headache. "So there's a Chaos World beyond this realm? Looks like I really need to train hard."
"Alright, I've told you everything now. Is there anything else?" Evan Yang asked.
"No, nothing else," Lynn Lin replied.
"I wonder how the Fire Phoenix egg is doing?" Melody Wood asked curiously.
When Melody Wood asked that, Lynn Lin also looked at Evan Yang with curiosity.
"I've already obtained it. I'll go check on it now. You two wait here for me," Evan Yang said. The two women were itching to see for themselves, but since Evan told them to wait, they didn't argue, worried they might disturb him.
Evan Yang entered the Strange Spiral Shell. Seeing him vanish inside, Lynn Lin muttered, "This guy really has everything."
"That's what makes him different from everyone else," Melody Wood said with a smile.
Lynn Lin laughed, "Maybe so."
As for Evan Yang, he found a quiet spot and opened the box.
Inside, of course, was the egg. The moment he saw it, Evan Yang felt as if he could sense its heartbeat.
"How can I wake her up?" Evan Yang muttered to himself.
Evan Yang looked at the egg and tried touching it. A wave of heat swirled over its surface, and his Sacred Flame began circulating on its own.
He watched as the Sacred Flame coiled around the egg. Evan Yang wondered, "Does she like fire, or does fire like her?"
Still puzzled, Evan Yang injected more flame. The egg began to grow larger.
"Huh." Evan Yang realized that the flame could help her grow. Wanting to see if he could speed things up, he kept channeling more flame, then paused for a break before continuing.
Inside the shell, fifty days passed, while only a single day went by outside.
Empress Myra, after tracking Evan Yang's location for the last time, found he was in a remote dynasty. She arrived a day later.
When she reached the new place, she discovered Evan Yang's trail had vanished. Frowning, she said, "Strange. He was clearly here—how did he disappear?"
