Quentin Lin naturally knew his father was just talking nonsense, but he didn't really care about his own name—he was only teasing casually.

"Sister, how are you feeling?" As soon as Quentin Lin arrived, he took Belle's pulse, checked her hand, and then relaxed with a grin. "Sister's health is recovering very well. A little more rest and you'll be completely healed."

"This time, it's all thanks to you, Quentin." Belle held Quentin Lin's hand, sincerely thanking her clever and mischievous younger brother.

If Quentin Lin hadn't come up with the blood transfusion method, Charles Hayes and Connie Evans would have ended up with brain damage, all because of Princess May!

Quentin Lin grinned, completely unconcerned: "I'm a doctor—saving lives is my calling. But honestly, the biggest credit this time goes to you, Belle. If you hadn't had the foresight to buy all those Western books and instruments, I never would have known about the blood transfusion method. You could say everything was destined, one thing led to another. The seeds you planted brought us today's harvest."

Quentin Lin's words moved everyone deeply.

It truly was a twist of fate. If Belle hadn't started overseas trade, with the current medical conditions, her child would have already become mentally disabled.

"How is Connie Evans from Belle's family doing now?" Belle asked.

"I just came back from Belle's place, gave her and the baby a check-up. Connie Evans is doing great—the symptoms of mental impairment are getting lighter by the day. I figure since the poison was in the child's body for a short time and treatment was timely, there shouldn't be any lasting damage to the brain." Quentin Lin smiled. "Belle actually asked me to come check on you and the baby. She's really worried about you two, so I'll have to report back to her soon."

"We're both fine. Tell Belle not to worry and to focus on her recovery. Since there are two mothers in the manor currently in confinement, all the supplements and tonics can be prepared in double—one share for me, one for Belle." Belle instructed.
