Discovering the Star Marks Within

A faint sense of disappointment crept into Evan Chu’s heart. So, activating a magic treasure was just unleashing the restriction energy and the sealed power within the artifact—it wasn’t about channeling the forces of heaven and earth at all. That meant his dream of channeling Stellar Power through his Heart-Sword was probably just wishful thinking.

“Blazefire, where did you get all these magic treasures? Did you acquire them at auctions, or are they made by someone else?” Evan asked, puzzled.

“There’s a sect in the Immortal Realm called the Treasureforge Sect, specializing in crafting magic treasures and talismans. You’ve only seen treasures—if you witnessed the true power of talismans, even Immortal Emperors would tremble. If we’re talking about the most terrifying force in the Immortal Realm, it’s definitely the Treasureforge Sect.”

But the Treasureforge Sect has an ancestral rule: their disciples are forbidden to make trouble outside or get involved in power struggles. Otherwise, they’d already hold a seat among the Six Great Powers. As it stands, nobody dares provoke them—their treasures and talismans are simply too formidable.

On top of that, everyone needs treasures from the Treasureforge Sect, so their disciples are treated with extreme respect. Anyone who dares show disrespect will be hunted down by the rest of the Immortal world.” Blazefire Immortal Lord said.

Evan Chu was most interested in those talismans—if powerful talismans could injure even Immortal Emperors, he definitely needed to get a few for himself. If he ever ran into a truly dangerous enemy, they could save his life.

Maybe some would show up at the upcoming auction. The odds weren’t high, but with enough Immortal Stones, he was confident he could get his hands on them. In this, Evan had absolute faith.

“Blazefire, how strong is Solarion Palace in the Immortal Realm? Are there any special territories, like domains of the Dragon Clan, Phoenix Clan, or Golden-Winged Roc Clan?” Evan asked.

Once he became strong enough, he planned to send Roxanne Lin back to the Phoenix Clan. There, she could undergo another nirvana and receive even greater inheritances.

“Solarion Palace is actually the weakest of the Six Great Powers. Xander Xuan is only at mid-stage Immortal Emperor, but his Solarion Sword is terrifying—especially his Immortal-Slaying Sword Array, which is the deadliest attack technique in the Immortal Realm.”

Even though Xander Xuan was only at mid-stage Immortal Emperor, he could challenge any late-stage Immortal Emperor at will. So most people still didn’t dare provoke him.

But in the past few centuries, Coldshroud Imperial Palace kept encroaching on Solarion Palace’s territory. If it weren’t for Skyshade Hall secretly protecting them, the two sides would’ve gone to war long ago—and the Immortal Realm would be thrown into chaos.” Blazefire Immortal Lord explained.

“Why does Skyshade Hall help Solarion Palace? Are they allied?” Evan asked.

“Pretty much. Xander Xuan’s daughter, Yvonne Xuan, is engaged to Hector Vaughn’s son, Logan Vaughn. With that connection, the two sides naturally stay close. If you’re smart, you won’t mess with either faction. Our Martial Spirit Dominion doesn’t fear them, but avoiding trouble is always wise.” Blazefire Immortal Lord advised.

Evan Chu gained a new understanding of the Immortal Realm. Yvonne Xuan was his woman—no one could take her from him. Even if he had to stand against the entire Immortal Realm, he would claim her.

Evan stopped talking, sat back down on the boulder, and resumed absorbing Stellar Power. The stars were invisible in the daytime, but that didn’t mean they weren’t there—he could still take in a little.

After about an hour, faint starlight appeared on Evan’s body. The absorption was slow, but he could clearly sense Stellar Power flowing into him.

Evan felt like he was missing something. He stopped absorbing and sank into deep meditation. He remembered back in Heavenly Dragon Academy’s Stellar Cultivation Chamber, where seven star-like lights formed a Big Dipper pattern on the ceiling, and the altar’s radiance filled the chamber with intense Stellar Power.

It was there that he broke through to the Second Layer of Starforge Body. Thinking about this body-refinement method, Evan felt another flash of inspiration—why was it called the Starforge Body, and what was its true connection to the stars themselves?

Slowly, the scene in the Stellar Cultivation Chamber appeared in Evan’s mind—the seven stars of the Big Dipper, each distinct, hanging in the endless sky of his consciousness.

One of those stars shone the brightest. Evan felt it was special, as if it was connected to him somehow—but he just couldn’t grasp the feeling, leaving him frustrated.

He began to slowly recall the cultivation method of the Starforge Body, sitting on the rock like an old monk in meditation. Unknowingly, three months passed, and Blazefire Immortal Lord was so exasperated he wanted to scream.

At first, Evan was still absorbing Stellar Power, but for the last three months he hadn’t absorbed any at all—he just sat there motionless. Blazefire didn’t dare disturb him.

One day, Evan suddenly opened his eyes, excitement lighting up his face. He laughed, “I finally understand! I finally get it!”

Blazefire Immortal Lord was totally baffled. “Evan Lin, what did you figure out? Why are you so happy—did you comprehend something, or did you break through?”

Evan explained, “I’ve discovered the true secret of the Starforge Body. After cultivating it, Star Marks are left within your body. As long as you use a Star Mark to correspond with a star that radiates Stellar Power, you can resonate with it and borrow its power. The stronger the Star Mark, the more Stellar Power you can draw.”

I have seven Star Marks in my body, corresponding exactly to the Big Dipper. For now, I can only sense one Star Mark—the one linked to the brightest star of the Big Dipper. If I can achieve full resonance with that star, I’ll be able to borrow its Stellar Power, and my strength will skyrocket.”

Blazefire Immortal Lord looked at Evan as if he were listening to a fairy tale. He had no idea what Evan was talking about—Star Marks resonating with stars? Only someone with a wild imagination could dream up something so terrifying.

“Blazefire, I know what I’m saying sounds impossible to you. But one day, when you see me actually borrowing Stellar Power, you’ll realize how powerful it is—way beyond any magic treasure or talisman. My theory isn’t fully mature yet; I need to refine it, to experiment and figure it out for myself.

So if anything weird happens during this time, don’t be too shocked. I’m definitely not a normal person—when I’m ‘normal,’ I’m not even human.” Evan joked.

At that moment, only two words echoed in Blazefire Immortal Lord’s mind: ‘He’s crazy.’ This guy must’ve gone off the rails in his cultivation to say something like that.

Before Blazefire could say anything, Evan was already sitting back down on the big rock, closing his eyes and focusing on sensing the brightest star in the Big Dipper above...
