Damien Gray, however, seemed completely unsurprised. Gazing at the lush greenery before him, his eyes grew distant and unfocused, as if lost in thought.
Upon hearing Damien Gray's words, Violet Snow froze for a moment, then understood his meaning. Her heart ached, but she consoled herself—at least the Ghostmaster was willing to speak to her now, which was better than being ignored as before. Biting her lip, she spoke softly, "Ghostmaster, please tell me what I should do. I promise I will change!"
Damien Gray glanced at Morgan Shangguan and said quietly, "You should ask the Cloud Guildmaster. She knows best!"
Violet Snow was stunned for a moment by his words. She turned to look at Morgan Shangguan, puzzled as to why such a matter would involve the Cloud Guildmaster.
Morgan Shangguan had already withdrawn her scrutinizing gaze. She turned to Damien Gray, frowning, "Ghostmaster, are you asking me to train your woman for you?"
Damien Gray smiled and said, "The Cloud Guildmaster knows me better than anyone. If she wants to know anything about me, it's most appropriate to ask you. As for what the Cloud Guildmaster chooses to do, that's her own business!"
Those nearby found his words unbelievable. Was this how things worked? To have the woman who liked him ask another man about him—why did this sound so ambiguous?
Violet Snow frowned and called out softly, "Ghostmaster..."
Damien Gray ignored her, while Morgan Shangguan raised an eyebrow and asked, "Ghostmaster, how do you know I understand you so well?"
Damien Gray replied as if it were obvious, "Cloud Guildmaster, haven't you heard the saying? The one who understands you best is often your enemy! If the Cloud Guildmaster didn't know me well, how could she be so confident in outmaneuvering the Ghost Guild?"
