Evan Yang had already said beforehand that they could only be outside for one month. But Derek was different—he was a native of the Fiend Realm, so it didn’t matter how long he stayed out.
To avoid unnecessary trouble, Evan Yang prepared a veil for both Elena Yale and Winter, covering their faces, since their beauty was just too eye-catching.
As for Derek and Kai Hart, Evan Yang had them take Hidden Dragon Elixirs, changing their appearances completely.
Seeing how amazing this pill was, Derek immediately asked Evan Yang for a few more, just in case.
"Grandmaster, this pill of yours is seriously awesome," Derek said with a grin.
"Come on, you only flatter your Grandmaster when you get something good," Elena Yale laughed.
"I think so too," Winter said, laughing.
"Little Master, Grandmaster’s wife, how can you say that about me?" Derek replied awkwardly.
Everyone burst out laughing, then left the mountain range together and headed toward the nearby city to look around.
Winter and Elena Yale hadn’t been out in ages, and now they were just like ordinary mortal girls—shopping, buying clothes, and picking up all sorts of things for women.
"That’s them—take them down!" A Fifth-Rank general stepped forward and pointed at Evan Yang and his group.
"That fast?" Evan Yang smiled, but was secretly shocked—he’d only just come out, and already the Fiend Palace had tracked him.
"Kid, don’t think you can act without anyone noticing. Elder Liu has already given orders—every city has spies." The Fifth-Rank general sneered.
"Just you lot?" Evan Yang glanced around—the strongest were only Fifth-Rank generals. If he’d been alone before, it might have been tough, but now he had a powerhouse with him; their arrival was basically suicide.
These people had no idea Evan Yang had a powerhouse at his side, so the spokesperson sneered, "We’re more than enough."
Evan Yang shook his head helplessly. "Sorry, but that won’t work for you."
He flashed forward, pulling Derek, Kai Hart, and Winter aside. Elena Yale couldn’t hold back any longer—Evan Yang knew her temperament well.
She was the hot-blooded type. She asked, "Who are these people?"
"They’re here to capture your disciple. Maybe you should show them what you can do." Evan Yang laughed.
As soon as Elena Yale heard they were after Derek, she snorted coldly. "Die!"
With a wave of her hand, Elena Yale took control of everything nearby that could fly. Moments later, Evan Yang saw all the attackers collapse.
"Impressive. Not bad." Evan Yang had expected these people to die, but seeing it happen, he couldn’t help but admire the difference three major realms made.
"You brat—making me do all the work?" Elena Yale grumbled, seeing Evan Yang’s attitude.
"I’m telling the truth—these people really were sent to capture your disciple." Evan Yang laughed.
"I’ll trust you on that." Elena Yale said.
"Well, aren’t you going to leave?" Evan Yang knew the Fiend Palace wasn’t simple—stronger experts might show up soon.
Elena Yale nodded, knowing it was time to leave after killing people. Evan Yang and his group quickly left the city under the gaze of bystanders and rogue cultivators.
The dead Fiend Palace men lay there until a new batch arrived. When they saw the scene, they were shocked.
"Damn it, since when does he have such a powerful woman at his side?" In a palace hall, an elder slammed the table angrily.
"Elder Liu, let me go instead." A man in white armor with two stripes stepped forward—he was a Third-Rank general of the Fiend Palace.
"You? I’m afraid even you aren’t a match for that woman." The elder grumbled.
"So what’s Elder Liu planning?" The Third-Rank general asked curiously.
"Right now, all the Second- to Fourth-Rank generals are out searching for the young master—some have even gone to the Human World. As for me, you’re the only Third-Rank general left. If you get into trouble, I’ll have no one left to use." Elder Liu explained.
"That woman’s strength really isn’t ordinary. If we don’t have enough manpower, we could lure them into Fiend Realm’s danger zones instead." The Third-Rank general mused.
"That’s the only option for now. Go lure them into some dangerous places in the Fiend Realm—preferably ones that can trap them. Once the young master is found, we’ll send Second-Rank generals to finish them off." Elder Liu instructed.
"I’ll get on it." The Third-Rank general replied.
"Zane Lin." Elder Liu suddenly called out.
The Third-Rank general’s name was Zane Lin. Hearing Elder Liu call him, he paused and turned back.
"I want Derek alive. So lure the others away, but bring him back intact. I want that kid." Elder Liu ordered.
"If you have trouble separating him, use the Letter Tower." Elder Liu said.
"Letter Tower?" Zane Lin was stunned.
"Yes, the Letter Tower. I’ll give it to you soon. I won’t come with you—I’ve got urgent matters to handle." Elder Liu said.
Zane Lin nodded. He knew just how terrifying the Letter Tower was, and that Elder Liu almost never parted with it. If he was lending it out now, it meant the situation was serious.
Elder Liu left the palace hall, while Zane Lin waited.
In a secret chamber elsewhere, Elder Liu looked at his grandson Mason Liu, reassuring him, "Just hang on for another half a year and I’ll restore you."
"Grandpa..." Mason Liu lay paralyzed, almost like a corpse, but he could still hear Elder Liu’s voice, deep and shadowy.
"I’ll inject spiritual power for you right away." Elder Liu comforted his grandson, then went to a cabinet and took out a box.
Inside the box was a heavy, mysterious treasure—Elder Liu’s prized artifact, the Letter Tower. He hadn’t used it in ages; if it weren’t for needing to capture Evan Yang’s group, he wouldn’t be bringing it out now.
Leaving the secret chamber, Elder Liu handed the box to Zane Lin. "Go. Pull them all into the tower and bring them back when you’re done."
"Understood, Elder Liu." Zane Lin accepted the box and nodded, then took his leave.
Elder Liu returned to the secret chamber, glanced at the corpse-like body, and injected spiritual power into Mason Liu’s forehead.
Evan Yang had no idea what was happening inside Fiend Palace. At this moment, he and Elena Yale’s group left the city and flew through the void.
"Let’s go to another city and have some fun." Elena Yale said, eager to play.
"Still want to play? Aren’t you worried stronger enemies will show up?" Evan Yang said, speechless.
"With their strength? Even if more come, I can handle them with a wave of my hand." Elena Yale said confidently.
"That’s only because the strongest right now are Fifth-Rank. If a Second- or First-Rank general shows up, you’ll be in trouble." Evan Yang replied.
"Doesn’t matter if they’re Fifth-Rank or First-Rank. Whoever comes, I’ll crush them instantly." Elena Yale said, full of confidence.
Evan Yang was still hesitant—Fiend Palace ruled this place, and there were plenty of strong enemies lurking. He didn’t dare take it lightly.
"I want to play too. Let’s just go have some fun." Winter chimed in with a smile.
"Grandmaster, let’s go. Little Master is so strong, if more enemies show up, we’ll just fight them again." Derek grinned, especially after seeing Elena Yale’s display today—he was thrilled.
Seeing everyone eager to go, Evan Yang sighed, "Fine, one last time. After this, we’ll only visit places outside the cities."
"Outside the cities? What’s that?" Elena Yale asked, curious.
"Just some special places in the Fiend Realm—or famous ones without Fiend Palace people." Evan Yang explained.
"That doesn’t sound fun." Elena Yale grumbled.
"If you don’t agree, I’ll drag you all back right now." Evan Yang said.
"Fine, you win. I’ll play here for a month, then maybe think about going back to the Human World." Now that her power was restored, Elena Yale couldn’t sit still—especially after being stuck in Evan Yang’s tower for so long.
Knowing Elena Yale’s restless personality, Evan Yang just laughed. "One month is one month—but that means only places without people."
"Alright, whatever you say. Derek and Kai Hart can lead the way anyway." Elena Yale smiled.
Once everything was settled, Evan Yang led the group to a bigger city, where the two women went on another shopping spree.
But along the way, they didn’t run into any Fiend Palace people. They browsed many shops and bought tons of stuff.
"Any spies around?" Evan Yang scanned with his divine sense. Elena Yale was strong, but he still worried—if a powerhouse suddenly appeared, he’d have to be ready to pull everyone into the Sky-Piercing Tower.
But after shopping for a while, the girls finally left, still reluctant to go. Evan Yang didn’t spot any threats, so he said, "Let’s get moving."
"Are we really leaving?" For a moment, it felt like they were saying goodbye to city life. Elena Yale’s mood dimmed.
"We said this was the last city, remember?" Evan Yang smiled.
So the group could only follow Evan Yang, getting ready to travel to some places in the Fiend Realm.
"They just left." Someone pulled out a messenger stone and reported to the person on the other end.
