Mother-Child Tower

"A Third-Rank general actually showed up," Evan Yang muttered.

"Finally caught you all," Zane Lin said with a smile.

"Caught? Are you sure you got that right? It's more like we're waiting for you," Evan replied with a grin.

"Kid, laugh all you want now. You'll pay for it soon enough," Zane Lin sneered.

The other five had already surrounded them, and Zane Lin now turned toward Elena Yale, having investigated and learned she was the one who killed those men.

Seeing these people surround her group, Elena finally prepared to strike. Just as she was about to act, Zane Lin produced a pair of towers—one large, one small.

In an instant, the larger tower expanded and flew directly above Evan and the others.

A ring of light spread from beneath the tower, and everyone inside was frozen in place—Elena included.

"This isn't good!" Evan exclaimed, shocked to find himself immobilized by an unknown artifact—even Elena was affected, startling everyone.

Elena hadn't expected the enemy to have such a powerful artifact and snorted coldly, "What kind of treasure is this?"

"Haha, this is Fiend Palace's famous Immortal artifact—the Mother-Child Tower," Zane Lin laughed, seeing everyone immobilized, holding the smaller tower in his hand.

"Immortal artifact?" Evan and the others instantly realized this was bad news.

But now, none of them could move.

"Go in—let's trap you first, then talk," Zane Lin sneered, manipulating the smaller tower. The larger tower instantly sucked everyone inside.

Inside the tower, Evan and the others could move again, but their surroundings were pitch-black. Only a voice echoed from within: "Just behave and stay inside the tower."

Then everything fell silent—there wasn't a sound.

"What now, kid?" Elena asked, worried after several failed attempts to attack the walls.

"Looks like we're in real trouble. How about this: you all return to my tower for now," Evan suggested after thinking it over.

Elena knew this was their only option. Under Evan's guidance, she and the others retreated into the Sky-Piercing Tower, while Evan remained in the strange prison to investigate.

"How tall is this tower?" Evan wondered. Unable to use divine sense, he relied on his eyes, lighting a small flame in his hand to examine his surroundings.
