As soon as Wade Wei finished barking like a dog, Evan Lin tossed him aside like trash, not even bothering to spare him another glance.

Some of the people nearby couldn’t help but laugh at Wade’s barking, while others looked at Wade and the miserable Lei Zi lying on the ground, feeling a chill in their hearts.

"Where’d this kid come from? You dare make trouble at my White Crane Manor?" Manager Victor Ren’s face was dark. Beside him, Harold Zhou nodded slightly, looking at Evan Lin and speaking coldly, "You beat Young Master Wei on my turf. You can’t just walk away."

"Otherwise, if word gets out, am I supposed to take the blame for you?"

Harold Zhou’s eyes flickered with calculation. Looking at Wade Wei, whose legs were clearly crippled, he thought to himself that the Zhou family had one less rival to deal with. From Evan Lin’s earlier moves, this kid’s fighting ability was terrifying—one kick flattened Lei Zi, and that kind of power was beyond ordinary people.

Judging by how the young man acted just now, his skills were downright frightening. That kick that sent Lei Zi flying—ordinary people couldn’t hope to match that kind of strength!

"Oh? So what do you want to do about it?"

Evan Lin looked at Harold Zhou and Manager Ren with a hint of amusement.

Irene Xu was visibly anxious, her heart pounding as she looked at Evan Lin standing before her. The feeling of being protected by him just moments ago made her heart flutter. Now, seeing Evan Lin still standing tall in front of Harold Zhou, she couldn’t help but feel he was more manly than ever, almost forgetting that he was actually a few years younger than her.

"How about this—we’ll keep it fair. Since you’re here at my Jade Yard, let’s settle things with a stone-gambling match." Harold Zhou’s lips curled up as he continued, "If you win, you and the woman behind you can leave my place unharmed, and whatever you cut out of the stone is yours to keep."

Harold Zhou paused for effect, and seeing Evan Lin's totally unruffled face, his eyes flashed before he continued, "If you lose, I can help smooth things over about you crippling Wade Wei. But from now on, you'll be running with me—my guy, my enforcer. How's that sound?"

The moment Harold finished, a bunch of people around him were stunned.

"No way, right? Win or lose, this kid's making bank either way!"

"Is Harold Zhou trying to recruit this guy for his crew?"

"Damn, Boss Zhou's really putting a lot of stock in this kid!"

For a moment, everyone's eyes on Evan Lin were full of envy.

Manager Ren wanted to say something, but seeing Harold Zhou's faint smirk, he suddenly got it. He glanced at Lei Zi, still lying on the ground, and it all clicked.

Lei Zi's skills were famous in their circle, but this kid took him out in a blink—way tougher than your average fighter.

The Zhou and Wei families have been rivals for years. Adding one more grudge is just a flea on an elephant—doesn't matter. But picking up a powerhouse like Evan Lin? That's a win no matter how you slice it.

"How is this even fair? Manager Ren's been stone-gambling for years, and it's Evan's first time here!" Irene Xu blurted out, instantly anxious.
