"Lost money and now you're taking it out on a woman? Young Master Wei, you sure know how to show off."
A calm voice rang out. Irene Xu froze for a moment, turned around, and saw Evan Lin standing behind her.
"Who the hell are you? I can take my anger out on whoever I want—none of your damn business! Don't even mention your sister. If you talk back one more time, believe it or not, I'll deal with both you and your sister!" Wade Wei's face was icy.
"I believe you've got the guts, but I don't believe you've got the skills." Evan Lin replied calmly.
"You really have a death wish, don't you!" Wade Wei's face twisted with rage. He shouted, "Lei Zi!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Lei Zi stepped forward. His face was grim, muscles bulging all over his body, looking like he was made of steel.
"Evan, stop talking!" Irene Xu was startled, hurriedly pulling Evan Lin behind her. She looked at Wade Wei, her eyes full of fear and pleading. "Young Master Wei, my brother doesn't know any better and said the wrong thing. Please be generous and forgive him!"
Irene Xu was anxious. Just one look at Lei Zi made it clear he wasn't someone to mess with, especially with fists the size of sandbags—enough to make anyone uneasy.
"Forgive him? Who do you think you are? You think you're worthy of my forgiveness?" Wade Wei stared coldly at Irene Xu, his words full of mockery. "A dishonest girl dreaming of hooking a rich guy and making it big—just because you're pretty and have a nice figure, you think I want you? Honestly, I just wanted to sleep with you!"
"To me, you're just a plaything. And a plaything dares to set conditions for me? Lucky for you, I'm in a bad mood today—I'll take it out on your brother!"
Every word from Wade Wei was like a needle. When he finished, Irene Xu's face went pale, her whole body trembling with anger.
"So she's a dishonest girl. I thought she was some rich heiress."
"So pretty, and already out here trying to hook rich guys at such a young age. Seriously shameless."
"Tsk tsk, look at her vibe—she's just got maid energy. No way Young Master Wei would actually go for her. She's dreaming."
People nearby pointed and whispered, their eyes full of ridicule and laughter as they looked at Irene Xu.
Especially the women from wealthy families—if looks could kill, they'd be calling her a homewrecker on the spot.
"You..."
Irene Xu bit her lip, eyes turning red.
"Sigh."
Seeing this, Evan Lin sighed softly. "Stand behind me."
Hearing this, Irene Xu froze for a moment as Evan Lin stepped out from behind her and walked straight to the front.
"Get him!" Wade Wei snorted coldly. Lei Zi was already striding toward Evan Lin.
Irene Xu reached out, wanting to grab Evan Lin and run, but her hand missed.
Harold Zhou said nothing, standing there with a calm face. Manager Ren glanced at Evan Lin, eyes full of playful mockery. "I haven't even dealt with you yet, and here you are, delivering yourself to my doorstep!"
"I heard Young Master Wei's bodyguard is ex-special forces!"
"Wasn't it Lei Zi who single-handedly tied up more than ten kidnappers when Young Master Wei got kidnapped?"
"I remember that news too! This kid is seriously unlucky, picking the worst possible time to mess with Young Master Wei!"
As Lei Zi stepped forward, everyone watching felt a chill and secretly shook their heads, looking at Evan Lin with a hint of pity.
"Lie down!" Lei Zi roared, his voice booming like a bell. As he swung his massive fist, it cut through the air with a whoosh.
"Watch out!"
Irene Xu was so scared she shut her eyes tight.
Evan Lin looked completely unfazed. He reached out and caught Lei Zi's fist with one hand, then kicked out cleanly.
With a loud bang, the burly Lei Zi was sent flying, crashing to the ground and lying there motionless.
"What just happened?"
Wade Wei's smile froze, his face blank with shock.
"What just happened?"
"I couldn't see clearly. That kid just reached out and blocked Lei Zi's punch, right?"
"Why did Lei Zi go flying?"
Nobody saw how Evan Lin landed that kick—all of them were left utterly baffled.
Harold Zhou was stunned. "So young, but he's actually a trained fighter?"
Manager Ren's mind raced, and he barked in a deep voice, "Where did this kid come from, daring to lay a hand on Young Master Wei's bodyguard!"
Evan Lin ignored Manager Ren and walked forward, grabbing Wade Wei by the throat with one hand.
"What do you think you're doing!"
Wade Wei, his throat in Evan's grip, struggled to breathe. His face turned red and his limbs flailed as he tried to break free.
"People call you Young Master Wei, and you really think you're some kind of prince? If I call you a dog, will you answer or not?" Evan Lin raised an eyebrow, his tone full of contempt.
"You're the damn dog! Just you wait, I'll make you pay!" Wade Wei snarled, eyes bloodshot and full of hatred.
"Forget it, Evan, let's just get out of here." Irene Xu finally snapped out of it, her face anxious. If they crossed Wade Wei, she wouldn't be able to stay at the company, maybe not even in Capitalview.
"Leave? Where do you think you're going? I want to see if you can run anywhere in all of Capitalview!" Wade Wei shouted, still in Evan's grip.
He was utterly humiliated, his heart burning with anger.
"Don't worry," Evan Lin shook his head at Irene Xu, then looked at Wade Wei. "Just hope you don't regret this."
As soon as he finished speaking, Evan Lin kicked out twice, landing squarely on Wade Wei's kneecaps.
A crisp crack rang out, echoing in everyone's ears.
Manager Ren's eyebrow twitched, and Harold Zhou's eyes widened in shock—no one expected this.
Right after came Wade Wei's pig-like screams of agony.
His legs looked limp and powerless—clearly broken.
"If I call you a dog, will you answer or not?"
Evan Lin gripped Wade Wei's throat, his gaze icy cold.
"You..." Wade Wei gritted his teeth, but before he could finish, Evan Lin grabbed his left elbow and squeezed, slowly increasing the pressure.
"Three seconds to decide—either bark like a dog, or I'll break both your arms too."
Evan Lin's tone was cold as ice, sending chills down everyone's spine.
Harold Zhou hurriedly spoke up, "Hey, let's talk this out!"
He disliked Wade Wei and wanted to scam him out of his money, but if something really happened to Wade Wei in his place, the Zhou family would be dragged into it too.
"Three!"
Evan Lin didn't even glance at Harold Zhou, completely ignoring him. Harold Zhou was visibly annoyed.
Wade Wei gritted his teeth, but the pressure on his left arm filled him with dread.
"Two!"
Before Evan Lin could say the last word, Wade Wei, his voice hoarse, cried out.
"Woof!"
"Woof woof!"
