When Evan Yang and Richard returned to Happy, they saw Lora Luo anxiously pacing back and forth nearby.
"What's wrong?" Evan Yang immediately sensed something was off, so he asked curiously as soon as he arrived.
"You—you finally came back," Lora Luo exclaimed, startled.
"Yeah, what happened?" Evan Yang asked.
"Something happened to Happy," Lora Luo said.
"Oh? What happened exactly?" Evan Yang asked curiously.
"Not long after you left, a group of bear demons came looking for him. They said he killed Harris," Lora Luo said.
"Harris?" Evan Yang looked suspicious—after all, Harris had been sealed by him, and when they left, he was still an ice sculpture. How could he have been killed?
So he asked curiously, "And then?"
"It blew up after that—they even brought Harlan over. Harlan obviously didn't believe Happy would kill anyone, but everyone knows Harris and Happy had issues, so they pinned everything on Happy. And they even said you guys killed Harris," Lora Luo said.
Evan Yang frowned and said, "Who said that? That's a pretty wild accusation."
"They saw you two disappear, so they took Happy away. They also told me to let you know: if you want to see Happy, go to Harlan's gate—and you'd better bring Harris with you," Lora Luo said.
Richard didn't know about Harris, or what Evan Yang had done to him, so he protested angrily, "What kind of logic is that? We haven't been back since we left, and we never even saw this Harris!"
"Exactly, that's what Happy and I said, but those bear demons didn't believe us. They insisted on dragging Happy off, waiting for you to come back, and told you to hand over Harris," Lora Luo said, shaking her head helplessly.
"Damn it, we don't have him—how are we supposed to hand him over?" Richard was getting frustrated as things got more complicated. He'd thought that after catching the red-marked demon, they could ask about the Nine-Heaven Ice Lotus and save Snow White, but now he was really anxious.
Evan Yang saw this and said, "Senior, don't worry. I've got a way. Let's go."
"You've got a way?" Richard didn't know what Evan Yang meant, and Lora Luo looked at this mysterious guy with curiosity.
Evan Yang ignored what they were thinking and walked straight outside. Richard and Lora Luo followed closely behind.
Gradually, more and more bear demons appeared. Many of them recognized Evan Yang and his two companions, and the bear demons who were close to Harris were already waiting at Harlan's gate.
Happy was standing at the gate, guarded by several bear demons. "I can't believe they actually showed up," Harlan was also at the gate, surprised. In his eyes, outsiders could never be trusted, so he didn't let Happy interact with foreigners—but Happy just wouldn't listen. In the end, Harlan came up with a plan: he'd use this chance to let Happy see what outsiders were really like.
After all, Evan Yang and his group could have just left right now instead of coming back and risking their lives.
Happy was overjoyed when he saw Evan Yang and the others. "You finally came back!"
"Don't get too happy yet," Harlan said. Although he cared deeply for Happy, he didn't want to show too much affection in front of the other demons, so he spoke up.
Happy had to hold back his excitement, while Evan Yang walked over and greeted, "Senior."
"Alright, let's skip the small talk. Did you get the message I sent to your friends?" Harlan asked.
"Senior, we didn't kill Harris, and we didn't capture him either," Evan Yang said.
"You didn't? Are you kidding me? If it wasn't you, did Happy do it himself?" Harlan didn't want Happy to take the blame, so he'd rather believe it was the outsiders.
Evan Yang understood what Harlan was thinking, so he didn't blame him. But Richard got anxious and quickly explained, "We really didn't do it."
"So I'm just supposed to take your word for it?" Harlan asked, frowning.
Evan Yang just smiled and said, "Look at the snow pile next to the cave entrance."
All the bear demons, along with Richard and Lora Luo, looked curiously at the snow pile. At first, nobody paid attention—they just thought it was ordinary snow. But Evan Yang waved his hand, a gust of wind swept by, and the snow pile suddenly collapsed. A demon appeared before everyone.
It was an ice sculpture, and everyone could see that the figure inside was Harris.
This immediately caused a commotion—everyone wanted to know what was going on. Harlan quickly ordered someone to remove the ice, but Harris still couldn't move.
Evan Yang just smiled and said, "Let me take a look."
Then Evan Yang stepped forward, opened his hand, and sent a wave of heat into the ice. The ice slowly melted. Evan Yang thought for a moment, released Harris, but kept a trick up his sleeve.
Once Harris was freed, he shouted angrily, "You, you, you—"
"Watch your words," Evan Yang said.
Harlan frowned and asked, "What on earth is going on here?"
"He—he—" Harris had been stuck here for so long that he was too angry to speak. Evan Yang smiled and said, "Let me explain."
Everyone turned to Evan Yang, who smiled and said, "Happy came to see the chief to discuss something, but Harris saw him and tried to stop him. Happy got angry and asked me to help him out—so I used a trick to make Harris unable to move for a while."
Evan Yang made it sound simple, but Richard and Lora Luo were secretly shocked—when did Evan start calling Happy by name? Happy, following Evan's instructions, spoke up: "Yeah, that day, he tried to stop me."
Harlan knew Happy had indeed come to see him, and had told him that if he wanted to accept those outsiders, he had to capture the red-marked demon.
But as the chief, Harlan had to maintain order, so he said, "Alright, Harris, that's enough. Don't let this happen again. The feud between you two ends here—if anyone tries to stop someone next time, they'll be the one in trouble."
His words were simple, and Harris knew there was no point in arguing further, so he left the group angrily.
No one expected the matter to be resolved just like that. Harlan snorted coldly, "This is our tribe's business. In the future, don't meddle, and don't teach Happy any strange tricks."
He then said to Happy, "Happy, come with me."
But Evan Yang spoke up, "Senior, what you wanted us to do, we've done it."
Harlan was stunned. "Done what?"
Evan Yang took the red-marked demon out of his spatial ring. When Harlan saw the red-marked demon, he was both furious and shocked—furious because he had always hated this demon, and shocked that Evan Yang and his friends had actually brought him here.
