Red Dragon Royal Court.
Crown Prince Roland Reddragon dismissed his attendants, then walked to a secluded courtyard deep within the royal court. Hesitation flashed across his face, but finally, he bowed and called out, "Senior, Roland Reddragon requests an audience!"
The Ten-Yao Continent is different from Southsky.
All powers exist in the form of kingdoms, and Immortals generally attach themselves to dynasties.
And inside this courtyard lives a nation-subduing Immortal.
"Please leave, Crown Prince."
An elderly voice drifted out from within the courtyard.
Roland Reddragon's expression shifted. He gritted his teeth and said, "Senior, this concerns the future of the royal court. If we don't crush that rampaging rebel demon army with overwhelming force, all the hard-won gains of our Red Dragon Demon Kingdom will go up in smoke!"
There was silence from inside the courtyard for a long moment.
After a long time, a gentle sigh finally sounded: "Fine. This Immortal will make an exception and intervene once."
"Thank you, Senior, for your help!"
Delight flashed across Roland Reddragon's face. He bowed again, then turned and departed.
Black Tortoise Demon Domain.
High above in the sky, hundreds of massive demon clouds merged into one, blotting out the sun. Demonic energy filled the air as they swept toward a city in the Black Tortoise Demon Domain—this was Ian Song leading his army of over ten million demons.
Suddenly, a thin, black-clothed elder appeared in front of the army.
"Who are you, that you dare block our army's advance!"
A demon general shouted at the newcomer.
"Everyone fall back!"
Ian Song's voice rang out as he stepped forward, facing the black-clothed elder directly.
"So the one stirring up all this trouble is actually a human!"
"You... huh!"
The black-clothed elder had never expected Ian Song to revive. With his Immortal soul wounded, his reaction was delayed, and he could only hastily throw a punch to meet the attack!
"That's right!" the elder nodded.
"I never imagined the Red Dragon Demon Kingdom would send a demon Immortal just to deal with me!" Ian Song said with a wry smile. He'd thought they'd only send more Tribulation experts, not an Immortal—he was both pressured and oddly flattered.
"If you disperse your demon army and follow me to the royal court to confess, I can spare your life," the black-clothed elder said calmly.
"So Senior thinks he has me cornered," Ian Song narrowed his eyes, ready to fight at any moment.
The elder just smiled, not bothering to deny it.
"In that case, I'll have to presume to fight Senior!"
As soon as he finished speaking, nine Star Maps appeared above Ian Song's head—he was directly activating Nine Stellar Transformations.
With this divine art unleashed, an overwhelming surge of power exploded inside him, swelling to the point it felt like he might burst.
"Slash!"
Ian Song drew the Azure Flood-Dragon Sword and slashed at the black-clothed elder.
As the sword fell, a terrifying blue sword light over a thousand zhang long appeared.
With the appearance of the sword light, a black-hole canyon tore open between heaven and earth, chaotic time-space energy raging. Anything approaching the chasm was instantly annihilated by the sword's power.
"Good!"
Seeing the sword light, the black-clothed elder's eyes lit up. He raised his withered hand and struck out, meeting the sword light head-on.
"Crack, crack, crack, crack!"
The withered hand contained supreme power, shattering the sword light layer by layer, but a backlash forced the elder to retreat several steps.
"Immortal-level strength really is incredible!"
After unleashing that sword light, Ian Song was certain that if the person in front of him were a late Tribulation expert, they'd have been killed instantly. But this terrifying sword light only forced the elder back a few steps—showing just how powerful an Immortal truly was.
"Take my next move—Skyless!"
Profound and mysterious sword intent spread out, and in the void, terrifying sword-qi rapidly coalesced.
In the next instant, over ten thousand sword-qi blades—each enough to slay a Tribulation cultivator—formed a sword array and tore toward the black-clothed elder.
"Interesting!"
The black-clothed elder stretched out his withered hand again, but this time it glimmered faintly with crystalline light.
He flicked his hand, and a void palmprint the size of a hundred mu slammed down onto the sword array.
"Crack, crack, crack, crack!"
The sword array spun madly, frantically offsetting the power of the void palmprint.
"Immortalsbane!"
Ian Song unleashed another move—a terrifying will descended from heaven and fused into his body.
"Is this heaven and earth's will?"
Ian Song's head spun, and he slipped into a mysterious state. Unconsciously, he swung his sword, temporarily comprehending deeper secrets of the Heavenbreaker Sword Canon.
"Not good!"
The black-clothed elder's expression changed—he sensed an unimaginably terrifying will locking onto him, as if to erase his very existence.
"Boom!"
In the next moment, the shackles within his body broke, and his true Immortal power awakened. But as his real strength revived, the sky above suddenly turned ominously dark—a giant eye appeared overhead.
"Eye of Heavenly Punishment!"
Seeing the eye, the elder's face turned ugly. Immortals are forbidden to unleash their true power in the mortal realm—if they do, heaven's will detects them, forcing either tribulation or immediate ascension.
Once, Immortals tried to defy heaven and resist tribulation, but not a single one survived—every last soul was scattered.
"Before the Eye of Heavenly Punishment fully forms, kill that brat!"
The black-clothed elder's eyes turned cold. With a single step, he appeared right in front of Ian Song.
"Die!"
Golden light erupted—his fist seemed to transform into a blazing sun.
"Boom!"
The sun-like fist collided with the slashing Azure Flood-Dragon Sword, sending invisible ripples radiating out, destroying patches of void.
Ian Song's body shuddered violently, then was sent flying uncontrollably.
"Huh, he didn't die!"
The black-clothed elder was surprised, then threw another punch.
"Soul-Shatter!"
Feeling the immense pressure of that punch, Ian Song directly unleashed the fifth form of the Heavenbreaker Sword Canon.
"Boom!"
Ian Song was sent flying, and then his body exploded midair, turning into a cloud of blood mist.
But the elder, who had taken Ian's move head-on, suddenly turned pale and spat out a mouthful of blood.
"What a terrifying brat—he actually managed to wound my Immortal soul. Good thing he's dead now!"
The elder, still shaken, connected with the Ascension Passage. Instantly, flowers rained from the sky and a radiant tunnel appeared out of nowhere.
Meanwhile, the Eye of Heavenly Punishment grew ever more terrifying. Not daring to linger, the elder shot upward toward the passage.
But just then, Ian Song—who had become blood mist—suddenly reformed. Seeing the elder ascending, a ruthless gleam flashed in his eyes.
"Die! Soul-Shatter!"
He stepped forward and swung his sword again.
