Return of the First Divine Attendant

"You found a clue?" Soren Lann narrowed his eyes slightly.

"That's right!" Azure Flame walked up to him, looking both proud and happy, and pointed a slender finger at him. "Soren Lann, sooner or later you'll be mine!"

Soren Lann looked at her, his expression darkening.

"Why the long face?" Azure Flame kept her finger out and suddenly gave his chin a teasing little flick.

"Azure Flame!" Soren Lann snapped. "You've got a lot of nerve!"

Azure Flame, all smiles, plopped herself down on the armrest of his Divine Lord’s seat, looking sexy without even realizing it. "When it comes to guts, there’s hardly anyone in the Three Realms and Ten Wilds who can top me! I survived the god-demon war! What haven’t I seen? Just the Divine Lords alone—if you count all the ones I’ve met, you could field a whole soccer team!"

Soren Lann took a deep breath and turned to leave.

"Hey! Where are you going?" Azure Flame chased after him.

Soren Lann ignored her.

Not wanting to be seen by others, Azure Flame turned into a little swallow, flew over, and landed on Soren Lann’s shoulder, deliberately rubbing her tiny head against his neck.

Soren Lann swatted down hard but missed, ending up smacking his own shoulder painfully.

Then Azure Flame popped up on his other shoulder and rubbed the other side of his neck again.

Soren Lann sent a blast of Qilin Divine Fire at her.

"Chirp chirp chirp!" Azure Flame dodged, but her wing got singed, and she protested fiercely.

Seeing her squawking, face flushed and neck puffed up, Soren Lann couldn't help but smile. He pointed at her and said, "You'd better stay away from me. Otherwise, those few feathers you have won't be enough to burn."

"Chirp chirp chirp!" Azure Flame kept following him, squawking nonstop.

Getting burned by Qilin Divine Fire really hurts.

Soren Lann ignored her and went back to his sleeping quarters.

Azure Flame found a spot where no one was around and hissed as she rubbed her burnt arm.

If only she'd borrowed some burn medicine from Lily Bai before coming here.

It hurt like hell...

She was still grimacing when a shadow suddenly fell before her eyes.

She looked up to see Soren Lann standing in front of her, holding a bottle of medicine. He tossed it to her and said, "Next time you act so outrageously, your punishment will be a lot worse than just a little burn!"

Azure Flame took the medicine, rolled up her sleeve, and poured it onto her arm.

Soren Lann turned away, sounding annoyed again: "How can a woman just show her arm in front of others so casually?"

"You’re not 'someone else'!" Azure Flame said. "Soon enough, you’ll be my husband."

Dream on! Soren Lann strode away.

Azure Flame jumped up and followed him. "Can you at least tell me why you want to open the Void Gate?"

Why are you suddenly asking about that?

Did someone say something to you?

Or do you miss His Majesty the Celestial Emperor too?

Soren Lann: "Stop following me!"

Lily Bai smiled: "Get up! Chacha, Ezra Cloud is my first divine attendant—please help him get settled in."

Chacha pouted: "Wasn’t I your first?"
