Manic Moon-Nether Beast

Evan Yang really couldn’t figure out what this thing was—a strange creature that could eat light, and it wasn’t slow either. Curious, he took it with him and soon returned to the place where the monsters were. When the unidentified creature saw a few beings there, it looked annoyed.

“This is where I was born. Why are these guys here?” the creature said.

Evan suddenly understood—so this place was intact because it was the creature’s birthplace, which meant there must be something special about it.

Evan said, “No worries. Watch how I deal with them.”

Seeing Evan return with a weird thing, the Pangolin Monster and the others were secretly alarmed and worried—if it was something dangerous, they’d be in trouble.

“Spare us, please. We’ve told you everything we know—there’s nothing left for us here,” the Pangolin Monster said, frustrated.

“Relax, I already said you’re still useful. Let’s go.” Evan smiled, casually collected these monsters into a Space Ring, and left.

After Evan returned to the underground tunnel, he brought the unidentified creature along, walking forward until they saw light. The creature became excited.

Evan said to it, “Alright, you can eat as much as you want. There’s more light here than you could ever finish—once you’re almost full, you can come back.”

The creature was naturally delighted and devoured all the surrounding light in one go. Luckily, this place wasn’t sealed, so darkness and light alternated, quickly replacing each other.

But any mutant beasts passing by with sharp eyes would notice something odd here, so they’d look over out of curiosity. At this moment, Evan naturally blended into the environment, staying hidden—unless someone was really strong, it’d be hard to spot him.

“What’s that thing, all black?” a passing monster asked.

“Who knows? In this forest, nothing’s surprising anymore—anything could mutate.” another mutant beast replied. Evan wanted to laugh at that; turns out they were so used to weird things popping up here, they didn’t care at all.

One mutant beast after another passed by, treating it like just another oddity, ignoring it and moving on, until the creature had almost finished eating.

Evan said to it, “So, how was it? Feels good, right?”

“So nice, I love it. But I’m full now—when I get hungry, I’ll come back.” it said happily.

Evan smiled, put it away, then headed for his destination. He’d already noticed that these mutant beasts all chose a certain place to go—and that place was the Nether Sky Abyss.

Step by step, Evan carefully approached the Nether Sky Abyss, looking around and spotting an entrance where mutant beasts kept going in. He’d already come up with a plan.

He released the Pangolin Monster and the other mutated creatures, then smiled, “Here’s your chance—if you can get me inside, I’ll let you go.”

“You’re really going to let us go?” the Pangolin Monster said in surprise.

"That's right," Evan said with a smile.

All these mutant beasts knew that humans couldn’t enter; otherwise, they’d go mad. This suited them perfectly—if Evan went crazy, it would be even better.

So the Long-Nose Monster said, "Alright, I'll take you in, but we can't move right now. How are we supposed to lead you?"

"No problem, watch this." Evan unlocked the mutant beasts’ movement abilities, but kept their strength sealed.

Realizing their strength wasn’t released, the mutant beasts exchanged glances.

"Relax. Once I get inside, I’ll naturally unseal you. I’m fair," Evan said with a smile.

"Fine," the Pangolin Monster sighed, resigned.

Evan asked, "So, how are you planning to get me inside?"

"We know a shortcut, but only we can use it. We’ll try to guide you through," said the Pangolin Monster.

"Alright, lead the way," Evan said with a smile.

So the Pangolin Monster and a few mutant beasts led Evan around the main entrance to a steep cliff. Directly below the cliff, you could see the Nether Sky Abyss.

"Just jump down from here," said the Pangolin Monster.

"We won’t be discovered?" Evan asked skeptically.

"We’ve never been discovered," the Pangolin Monster replied.

"I’ll give it a try. Wait here for me—you’d better hope I make it in and back out, or you know what happens," Evan said with a smile.

"We’ve tried it, but you’re human—what if you fail?" the Pangolin Monster exclaimed.

"If I fail, that’s your choice," Evan said with a smile.

The mutant beasts were stunned. Evan looked carefully below the cliff and found there really was an invisible tunnel. You couldn’t see it with the naked eye—only by inspecting closely could you spot the differences from the surrounding area.

After careful inspection, Evan found the true path through the tunnel, then, without hesitation, flickered forward and dove in.

Once inside, the mutant beasts below didn’t notice. Evan couldn’t see outside either. He was curious why there was an invisible tunnel right at the cliff’s edge.
