Breaking into the Princess’s Manor

1/18/2026

Princess Myra Vance, who had been lounging lazily, instantly perked up when she heard this, blurting out, "Did you find out where he's staying?"

Sunny nodded. "According to our spies, he entered the city with the Dragonfolk Third Prince and is currently living at the Dragonfolk liaison manor. Princess, I think that bastard has definitely defected to the Dragonfolk!"

At this, Sunny's face was filled with indignation. Her own princess valued him so highly, yet that bastard would rather side with the Dragonfolk than become Princess Myra's personal bodyguard. Truly unforgivable!

If I could beat him, I'd make him eat dirt!

Princess Myra's face darkened at these words. She thought to herself, Maybe abducting Lynne Ward made him resentful and that's why he chose to defect to the Dragonfolk Third Prince?

Thinking of this, she couldn't help but feel a little regret.

At the same time, she grew even more furious. They're both Human—so why would he defect to the Dragonfolk instead of me?

"Princess, should we send Lynne Ward to try persuading that bastard?" Sunny suggested.

"No need!"

Princess Myra coldly waved her pale, lotus-like arm. "Don't let Lynne Ward know he's in the capital. Since he dared to defect to the Dragonfolk, I'll make sure they never meet again!"

"Won't that cause trouble...?" Sunny asked, a bit worried.

"Say no more. My mind is made up. Leave now, and keep this secret!" Princess Myra said irritably.

"Yes, Princess!"

Sunny bowed and withdrew, secretly blaming Ian Song for angering the princess.

The next morning.

Ian Song woke up, gently disentangled the two arms wrapped around him, and floated down from the bed.

After practicing a round of boxing in the courtyard, Silver Xiu arrived in person.

"Lord Chu, Princess Myra returned to her palace ten days ago!"

"Mm." Ian Song nodded. "Thank you for your trouble."

"To serve Lord Chu is my honor!" Silver Xiu said respectfully.

"Send someone to escort me to the Princess's manor in a bit."

"Yes, sir!"

...

Half an hour later, outside the Myriad‑Phenomena Palace.

"I am Evan Chu. I've come to pay respects to Princess Myra Vance. Please make a formal report for me!"

Ian Song announced in a deep voice to the palace guards.

"Please wait here, Young Master Chu. We'll go report right away," one guard replied, heading into the manor.

After several layers of reporting, news of Ian Song's visit reached Sunny.

She wanted to have that bastard thrown out immediately, but remembering his request for secrecy, she couldn't tell Lynne Ward about Evan Chu's arrival. So she hurried off to see Princess Myra.

"Don't see him. Kick him out!"

Princess Myra had just gotten up and was still in a bad mood, answering coldly.

"Yes, I'll have someone throw that bastard out right away!" Sunny said happily.

Sunny was clearly pleased.

Ian Song waited at the gate for about fifteen minutes before a young man dressed as a house servant strode out, swept his gaze over Ian, and said arrogantly, "You're Evan Chu, right? The princess doesn't want to see you. Get lost!"

"What do you mean by that?"

Ian's expression immediately turned cold. "You abducted my wife, and I came here myself—yet you still avoid me? Do you really think I'm made of clay? If you won't show me respect, I'm done being polite to you!"

With that, he strode straight toward the manor.

The gate guards rushed to block his way, while the servant shouted, "How dare you, Evan Chu! Are you really going to try and break into the Princess's palace?"

"Out of my way!"

Ian barked coldly. A wave of force blasted toward the four guards. All four were Saint Sea Realm cultivators, but under the impact of his pressure, they were forced to retreat in pairs, unable to resist.

"Outrageous!"

The servant, shaken but mostly furious, shouted, "Guards! Seize this intruder who dares break into the Princess's manor!"

"Scram!"

With a casual wave, Ian Song sent a burst of energy that swept the servant up and flung him dozens of meters away like a rollercoaster gone off the rails.

At the same time, Ian strode through the gate in a single step.

"Shing!"

"Clang!"

Swords and sabers were drawn as the gate guards charged at Ian Song.

"Hmph!"

Ian snorted coldly, his voice booming like thunder in the minds of the guards, freezing them in place and turning their faces pale.

At the same time, Ian's voice echoed throughout the entire palace: "Princess Myra! I'm Evan Chu. Get out here right now, or I'll smash your palace to bits!"

"Husband!"

In a small courtyard, Lynne Ward's face lit up with joy, but quickly turned to worry. Her husband was far too bold, actually daring to threaten the princess like this.

"Outrageous!"

Inside her boudoir, Princess Myra hurled her precious teacup, shattering it to pieces.

Sunny, standing beside her, said, "Princess, that bastard's completely out of control. We have to teach him a lesson!"

Meanwhile...

At Ian's shout, several figures flashed into view, surrounding him. The aura they gave off marked them all as Eighth-Rank War Generals—top-tier martial experts.

"Shouting in the Princess's manor and insulting the princess—unforgivable! Seize him!"

One of them barked coldly, then lunged at Ian Song, with the others following suit in a coordinated attack.

"Scram!"

Ian barked coldly, his fists radiating supreme divine light as he struck out.

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Figures were sent flying, crashing to the ground in all directions.

The Princess's guards who arrived next all gasped at the scene—their Eighth-Rank War Generals couldn't even withstand a single blow.

"Who are you, and why have you barged into the Princess's manor?"

A middle-aged man led a group forward.

Ian Song replied in a deep voice, "Your princess kidnapped my wife. Tell her to release her immediately, or I'll overturn her entire manor!"

"The Princess's manor is not a place for you to run wild!"

The middle-aged man's face darkened.

"Enough talk. Tell Princess Myra to come see me!" Ian demanded again.

"Stubborn fool. Seize him!" The man's face grew even darker, his eyes flashing coldly.

"Swish, swish, swish!"

Eight figures shot forward at once, attacking Ian Song together—two were Ninth-Rank War Generals, the rest were Eighth-Rank War Generals.

"Stop, all of you!"

Just then, a delicate shout rang out—it was Princess Myra arriving with Sunny.

She glared coldly at Ian Song and said, "Evan Chu, I may admire you, but don't overstep your bounds. If you agree to become my personal guard right now, I'll let bygones be bygones. Otherwise, don't blame me for punishing you severely!"

"Please, Princess, my husband was just confused for a moment. He never meant to offend you!"

At that moment, Lynne Ward appeared before Princess Myra, knelt down, and pleaded.

"Hmph!" Princess Myra snorted, then looked back at Ian Song. "Evan Chu, what is your decision?"
