Crippling You Because You Look Like Me
"Don't move?" Sienna Skyvault froze, then burst into wild laughter. "Have you lost your mind, woman? You actually dare order me not to move? Who do you think you are? No one in this world has ever been born who can command Sienna Skyvault!"
Serena Feng flexed her fingers, almost amused—maybe she really had hit her head too hard, waving a gun and telling Sienna not to move. Was she regressing? Still...
But the words were already out—no way she'd admit to a slip or to being foolish. Serena lifted her chin, her gaze cool and faintly pitying, pride radiating from her as if she refused to see Sienna as an equal.
"You heard me right. Don't move. If you take one more step, I'll blow your head off. If you don't believe me, try it—see if I can do it."
With a crisp snap, Serena flicked off the safety, her lips curling into a dangerous smile. The blood at her mouth gave her a faintly savage look.
The Thirty-Six Starfall Guards and Sienna had witnessed the deadly power of Serena's weapon before. None dared rush her; the standoff stretched, tension thick in the air. Only then did Sienna notice—Serena looked uncannily like her.
"Who are you? Why do you look so much like me?" Sienna's voice was sharp, her eyes wide in disbelief, as if she couldn't accept it.
"Serena Feng, daughter of the Marquis of Loyalty in Eastlyn. And Sienna Skyvault, if you can't speak properly, keep your mouth shut. I don't look like you—it's you who looks like me, and you don't deserve this face." Serena was disgusted by the resemblance, just as William Wang Jinling had warned her. Seeing Sienna in person, the feeling was like swallowing a fly.
If Sienna changed her style, she'd look at least ninety percent like Serena.
From a biological standpoint, Serena was sure there was some connection between them—one she wanted nothing to do with.
Sienna Skyvault had never been scolded like this in her life. Her face flushed, neck stiff with rage. "Liar! Liar! How could I look like you? It's you who looks like me—shameless woman! Don't think I'll spare you just because you resemble me!"
Sienna always considered herself the unrivaled beauty of the jianghu, the number one beauty. But today, she met someone whose looks mirrored her own—and next to Serena, she felt like an unripe apricot.
The woman before her was covered in grime, yet her grace and elegance shone through. She possessed a mature allure no young girl could touch—effortless, natural, and impossible not to envy.
"You think I'm afraid of the Skyvault Palace Sect? However fierce you are, you're just jianghu riffraff. In the Capital or the prefectural cities, would Skyvault Palace Sect dare act so recklessly?"
It's only because you haven't threatened imperial power—the emperor just ignores you. Don't think a little favor means you can run wild.
Serena's eyes held a trace of pity—Sienna, spoiled and arrogant, couldn't stand the contempt. Furious, she shouted, "Kill her! Don't let her escape! No—destroy her face first! I won't allow anyone to wear the same face as me!"
Sienna clenched her whip so tightly that the barbs pierced her palm, blood dripping down. She felt no pain—only a rush of excitement and mania.
If she couldn't attack inside the city, she'd make sure this woman never got there. Yet the Thirty-Six Starfall Guards didn't move this time.
"You're seriously ill," Serena muttered, glaring at Sienna and quietly steadying her breath.
This girl was utterly spoiled—she thought the whole world revolved around her. If she wanted William Wang Jinling, she'd snatch him; if she saw Serena, she'd try to destroy her. Did she really think she was a princess and everyone else was an orphan for her to slaughter?
Brainless!
"Did you just call me stupid?" Sienna snapped. The Thirty-Six Starfall Guards hesitated, afraid Serena might accidentally kill their young miss. But Sienna herself had never felt fear—she raised her hand to slap Serena, but Serena was faster...
Bang—a gunshot rang out. The bullet tore through Sienna's wrist. They were too close; by the time the guards rushed forward, it was already too late.
"Ah—my hand!" Sienna dropped her whip, clutching her injured wrist. "Are you all dead? Can't you see I'm hurt? Get her! Kill her! Didn't you hear me?"
The Thirty-Six Starfall Guards wanted to move, but... Serena's gun was aimed right at Sienna. They wouldn't risk her life.
Their own deaths didn't matter—but if Sienna died, their fate would be worse than death.
"Stand still. Don't move!" Serena's back throbbed with pain, but she flashed a bright, mischievous smile.
Bullying someone felt amazing!
"Don't listen to her! She doesn't dare kill me. If she does, Skyvault Palace Sect will destroy her. She won't really make me her enemy!" Sienna ordered, unafraid of the gun.
It wasn't the first time—whenever she invoked the Skyvault Palace Sect name, no one dared touch her. Everyone in the jianghu knew she was the sect master's beloved daughter; hurt her, and Skyvault would wipe out your entire clan.
"You're smart. I really can't kill you—if I did, I'd never get out of here." Serena played along, her voice dripping with mockery.
So what if it's Skyvault Palace Sect? Serena had already offended the emperor and the crown prince—one more enemy didn't matter. But right now, she really couldn't kill Sienna; if she did, she'd be trapped here for good.
Hearing Serena admit it, Sienna gritted her teeth through the pain, gloating: "See? Now you know fear—too late! You idiots, what are you waiting for? Kill her! Big rewards if you do!"
The Thirty-Six Starfall Guards saw Serena really wouldn't kill Sienna—if she did, she'd be trapped. Just as they prepared to attack, another gunshot rang out.
This time, Serena aimed for Sienna's knee. Sienna, arrogant as ever, didn't even try to dodge. Serena picked the best angle to leave the bullet inside her, making sure she suffered—repaying William Wang Jinling's pain.
"Ah—my leg, my leg!" Sienna collapsed to her knees before Serena, clutching her leg and crying, her eyes now full of hatred.
"You bitch! How dare you hurt me? I won't forgive you—neither will my father or my brother!" Sienna spat, furious.
"Good—don't forgive me. I don't plan to forgive you either. I can't kill you today, but I can cripple you. If any of you move, I'll shoot her again. Let's see how long your young miss can last." Serena smiled, angelic and radiant, but the Thirty-Six Starfall Guards felt a chill. They wanted to help Sienna, but Serena's words stopped them cold.
