Evan Yang smiled without answering. "I was just guessing."

"I thought you knew everything," Hannah Nangong said, momentarily stunned.

"Honored guests, your rooms are ready," the innkeeper said after a while.

Evan Yang and Hannah Nangong both nodded, then followed the innkeeper upstairs. After a short while, they arrived on the upper floor.

"These are your rooms, right next to each other," the innkeeper said.

"Alright, got it. You can go about your business now," Evan Yang said.

"Of course. If you need anything, just come downstairs and find us," said the innkeeper.

"Alright," Evan Yang nodded.

"Let me see what's here," Hannah Nangong said, pushing open her room door. Inside, she saw some wood burning in the fireplace.

"These are for warmth," Hannah Nangong smiled, then sat on the bed. She felt the bed was warm as well, and when she looked down, she saw there was still fire burning underneath.

"This inn really does provide excellent service," Evan Yang said, looking around at the setup. Many things were for warmth, clearly meant for people who fear the cold.

"Yeah, if you suddenly found such a comfortable place on a snowy day, you'd never want to leave," Hannah Nangong laughed.

"That's true. What, you don't want to rest already, do you?" Evan Yang joked.

"No, not at all. So, what plans do you have?" Hannah Nangong stood up with a smile.

"Let's go out and walk around, and try to learn more about the big toads. There aren't enough people here to ask for information," Evan Yang said.

"Alright, sounds good. It's still early anyway," Hannah Nangong nodded.

So Evan Yang took Hannah Nangong out of the inn, and outside, heavy snow began to fall.

"I've never seen such heavy snow since I was little. Before, I only happened to pass through places like this and realized there were such magical places in the world," Hannah Nangong said with a smile as she looked at the snow.

"Really?" Evan Yang gazed at the snow. It felt cold, but his heart was warm. "I wonder how they're doing now?"

The snow reminded Evan Yang of the Northsource Region of his home planet, where it snowed year-round, so there was always a chance of snowfall.

"What's wrong?" Hannah Nangong asked, noticing Evan Yang's unusual expression.

"Nothing, just thinking of old friends," Evan Yang smiled.

"Important friends?" Hannah Nangong asked curiously.

"Yeah, friends from the small planes I used to be on," Evan Yang replied.

After thinking for a moment, Hannah Nangong asked, "If one day we part ways, will you think of me whenever you see snow?"

"What are you talking about?" Evan Yang laughed, but didn't give a direct answer.

"Come on, just say it," Hannah Nangong pressed.

"If you're my friend, of course I will. Is that answer good enough?" Evan Yang smiled.

"That's just dodging the question," Hannah Nangong said, displeased.

"Let's stop talking about that. Look ahead—seems like a lot of people are gathering over there," Evan Yang said, changing the topic.
