First Glimpse of Edge

1/11/2026

"You’re here! I was just about to look for you."

Lily Huang, dressed in an apricot-yellow robe, moved with a breeze-like grace. Dimples appeared symmetrically at the corners of her mouth, her smile gentle and sweet, her features strikingly lovely.

From a thousand meters away, she gazed at Andrew Han.

The gathering around the tables and chairs grew suddenly quieter.

On both sides, the twin stars cast their light and heat; the manor sat atop the torrent of brilliance, while the lively Primordial-tier Geniuses all turned to look at Lily Huang.

"Yes, Lily." Andrew Han rose smoothly to his feet. Within his Mindscape, Soul-Will at Fifth-Order Creation Light surged with latent power, quietly circulating like a sea of stars poised to erupt!

So dazzling, so gold and red.

His Soul-Will, deep as an abyss and vast as the sea, was embedded with countless Star-Maps.

Yet—

Because Andrew Han kept his power restrained, no one present sensed a thing; almost everyone’s attention remained fixed on Lily Huang.

Though she wasn’t exactly graceful, she was undeniably eye-catching.

Most of the Primordial-tier Geniuses couldn’t help but sneak a glance, secretly marveling in their hearts.

In the vast cosmos, appearance and beauty no longer mattered so much. Adjusting one's looks at Starlight Tier was commonplace. Features could be tweaked, but the essence of life could not be changed—unique temperament and cultivation had become the standard of beauty.

"Lily Huang has a great elder sister."

"She’s not bad herself. And with her sister Serena Huang’s careful support, at least she has no trouble establishing herself in the Primordial Gate."

"Exactly. Her sister Serena Huang is known as one of the Ten Strongest Primordial Geniuses in the Primordial Gate—she’ll probably ascend to the Primeval Gate in the next few years." Many of the Primordial-tier Geniuses felt complex, indescribable emotions.

If this were back home—

Who wouldn’t be worshipped by billions? Who wouldn’t shine brilliantly? Who wouldn’t display an invincible, sweeping presence?

But in the Primordial Gate, no matter how glorious the past, it all becomes fleeting as smoke.

Competition!

Fierce competition that leaves no room to catch your breath!

At this moment, standing at the edge of the round table, Andrew Han felt no loneliness from lack of attention—only a battle spirit beginning to burn within him!

"Andrew Han." Lily Huang stood lively before him, sensing that this Primordial Gate newcomer seemed somehow different from before—a hint of confusion flickered in her eyes. She smiled, "Shall we begin?"

"Let’s begin."

Andrew Han lowered his gaze and replied with a quiet laugh.

With that, their eyes met, and together they soared upward, leaving the manor behind. Even when issuing a direct challenge, duels could not take place within the twin-star spectacle itself; this prevented some Primordial-tier Geniuses from leveraging its power or gaining amplifying effects from the spectacle.

Thus—

At this moment, under the gaze of many Primordial-tier Geniuses—

Lily Huang and Andrew Han flew beyond the manor, tracing two dazzling arcs through the air, leaving both the manor and the torrent of light and heat far behind.

About half a minute later—

The two stood at the edge of the twin-star spectacle, surrounded by pale-red void—perfect conditions for a duel.

...

Inside the manor, the eyes of many Primordial-tier Geniuses focused on the pale-red void.

Though light traveled slowly, the aura and momentum passed through the pale-red substance even faster than light itself. Even if the duel’s image lagged by two or three seconds, it hardly mattered—everyone present could instantly sense the outcome.

"Should we follow them? Or just wait here?"

"Haha, is that necessary? We can just wait here. The outcome will be decided in an instant anyway—Andrew Han will last at most three heartbeats, and that’s assuming he’s made progress."

"Exactly, no need to go over."

The Primordial-tier Geniuses chatted and laughed, not taking it seriously at all.

Their varied expressions—leisurely, calm, indifferent, coldly detached—reflected the countless attitudes of the world. No one truly cared.

Some even—

A Primordial-tier Genius with gold and silver skin couldn’t help but grumble quietly: "Hurry up and finish—I still need to discuss something with Lily Huang... Never mind, even if I don’t urge them, it’ll be over in two or three heartbeats."

Everyone raised their cups, chatting and laughing.

Even the Primordial-tier Geniuses familiar with Andrew Han could only shake their heads and remain silent.

"Hmph." The burly man Mason pursed his lips and snorted coldly. "Once Andrew Han finishes his adaptation period, Lily Huang won’t be able to withstand even a single exchange."

He snorted softly.

Just like the others, he looked up toward Andrew Han and Lily Huang standing in the pale-red void.

...

The voices from within the manor had no effect on the two.

The pale-red void was tranquil and stable. In the distance, the twin stars cast their light and heat, illuminating Andrew Han’s now somber, solemn face and Lily Huang’s sweet features.

"Heh heh."

Lily Huang smiled a bit sheepishly.

"Are you ready?" she asked, glancing toward the manor with a barely perceptible sweetness in her eyes, as if radiating the bittersweet flavor of young love.

"Come."

For the third time, Andrew Han replied in a low, steady voice.

The previous two times, he had answered the same way—and lost instantly both times.

"Attack!"

Her sweet voice echoed through the void as Lily Huang charged forward, her pale, delicate right fist dropping like a real planet, compressing the air into explosive bursts—an incomparable force radiated in all directions.

Her seemingly small fist could split a planet!

This duel might end at any moment—everyone present felt the same.

"Come."

Andrew Han whispered softly, slowly raising his gaze.

His clear, black-and-white eyes instantly blazed with dazzling gold and red. As that golden-red gaze locked on, an unfathomable surge of Soul-Will erupted from his Mindscape—like a raging sea of stars—tearing through the planetary force of Lily Huang’s fist, erasing it completely, not a trace remaining!

A lotus flower appeared out of nowhere, woven from billions!

Countless gold and red lights filled the sky—Creation without equal!

The instant backlash nearly made Lily Huang lose her balance—she staggered two or three steps, her sweet face now tense with shock and uncertainty as she stared at Andrew Han.

"Fifth-Order Creation Light!"

"Andrew Han, you’ve advanced a realm!"

Lily Huang retreated two steps, her earlier sweetness replaced with caution and vigilance. She raised her small fist, suddenly clenching it tight—her punch’s force soared even higher, bearing down on Andrew Han in his green robe.

Boom!

Golden-red starlight exploded in midair!

It was like a cascade of meteors—golden-red starlight surged forward, splitting Lily Huang’s punch apart and crashing directly onto her fist. For a split-second, the two forces held, golden-red starlight surging like stormy waves. Lily could only watch as the starlight swept in again, her face changing as her body tumbled backward three or four times!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Lily Huang kept retreating, golden-red starlight surging in wave after wave!

In these three years, she had changed outfits three times. This year, Lily Huang wore an apricot-yellow robe, convinced that this time would be no different from the last—but she was gravely mistaken.

Her graceful figure was forced into a rapid retreat.

At last, Lily Huang managed to stop herself, her expression growing ever more grave.

"Lily Huang."

Andrew Han’s deep voice echoed in her ears.

In the pale-red void, a million meters separated them. Lily Huang’s sweet face was a bit stiff as she said in a low voice, "Andrew Han, you’ve changed a lot."

"It’s been three years—who hasn’t changed a bit?"

Times had changed. Andrew Han, clad in his green robe, was calmer and more serene than ever before. He was like a vast, unruffled ocean, his entire being suffused with unfathomable gold and red intent.

He had tasted defeat and understood how vast the world truly was.

He had cultivated in seclusion for three years, finally gaining the foundation to face the Primordial Gate head-on.

"Fight!"

Lily Huang’s face sharpened, and with half a step she burst into motion across the starry sky!

Andrew Han spread his arms wide, infinite gold and red starlight flooding over his green-robed figure. Only his deep voice reached Lily’s ears: "Give it your all, or you’ll lose."

Boom!

An indescribable gold-red lotus, its surface etched with Soul-Will sigils, its base like a heavenly palace, bore countless Soul-Will starlight—flipping the battlefield in an instant!

The lotus spun forward, crashing ahead!

In a flash it smashed through the void, striking at Lily Huang!

It was as if an ancient, formless giant wielded a mountain of gold and red, lifting it from dust and swinging it high, hurling it toward the Primordial-tier Genius Lily Huang.

"Tang-Ancient Fist!"

Lily Huang roared inwardly, thrusting out both fists, summoning deep-blue Fifth-Order starlight. Layer upon layer of starlight wove together like thousands of silk threads, finally merging into a star-gang, striking directly at the lotus made of gold-red starlight.

She was no weak girl, nor merely a sweet, gentle child.

If this were an ancient kingdom, Lily Huang alone would be invincible.

Shrrrk!

In just half an instant, those pale jade hands tore apart the gold-red lotus. Lily stepped across its ripples, charging at the faint figure hidden in the starlight: "Andrew Han, you’ve truly grown stronger, but your weakness is still obvious."

"Soul-Will cultivators are most vulnerable up close."

"Unfortunately, your Fifth-Order Creation Light Soul-Will realm is still unstable. In the end, you’re a step short—you can’t stop me."
