Charles Yin seemed very pleased as he looked at Cici.
Just as Cici was about to ask who her first official translation assignment would be for, Charles Yin spoke slowly, "Since we're here, let's go take a look at the castle's wine cellar. Follow me."
After saying this, Charles Yin took the lead and walked out.
Cici was stunned for a moment, then quickly followed after him.
The wine cellar was such an important place—could she really just follow along?
He'd just ruined a barrel of red wine because of a cat, and now he was bringing her there again...
Alex followed behind Cici, keeping a respectful distance from both the CEO and Cici.
As a competent assistant, Alex knew exactly when his boss needed close attention and when he should wait at a distance.
Cici was completely unaware.
She quietly followed Charles Yin out of the office, down the long corridor, and finally arrived at the underground wine cellar.
Standing at the door, Charles Yin reached out and entered a string of numbers, and the wine cellar door swung open.
As soon as they stepped inside, the first thing they saw were two neat rows of oak barrels.
The oak barrels near the entrance had already been taken away, leaving behind a deep mark.
"These wines have been aged for over three hundred years." Charles Yin turned to look at Cici with a smile, his eyes sparkling like a galaxy.
Cici's face lit up with amazement. "Three hundred years!"
"When I bought this winery, the wine here already had a history of over three hundred years." Charles Yin reached out to touch a massive oak barrel, his eyes narrowing slightly. "The wine here can finally be used."
"Used for what?" Cici couldn't help but ask instinctively.
"It's for entertaining all the guests at the wedding." Charles Yin suddenly turned to look at Cici, his smile dazzling. "It's time for a grand wedding."
A grand... wedding...
Cici felt her heart skip a beat for no reason, and then a sudden pain shot through her chest.
Cici quickly turned away, not letting Charles Yin see her slightly flushed face.
She quickly lowered her eyes, forcing her expression back to normal, but the pain in her chest was so sharp, so impossible to ignore.
He said... wedding...
Is he getting married?
Is he going to marry another woman?
He wants to...
What does his marriage have to do with me?
Why does my heart hurt so much?
Charles Yin hadn't heard Cici's reply; instinctively, he turned around, but saw her eyes suddenly red in the reflection on the door.
Even though her back was to Charles Yin, the reflection on the door clearly betrayed her current expression and gaze.
Charles Yin was silent for two seconds, then gently asked, "Are you okay?"
Cici quickly lowered her eyes in panic, took a deep breath, forced her tears back, and pretended to answer casually, "N-no, it's nothing... I just got some dust in my eyes."
Charles Yin glanced down at the floor.
The environment here might not be sterile, but it's definitely dust-free.
Where would the dust come from?
Was she... angry just now? Jealous?
A faint smile suddenly appeared at the corner of Charles Yin's mouth. "Aren't you curious who I'm marrying?"
Cici turned around in a panic, pretending to look at the scenery instead of Charles Yin. Her flustered eyes made her words come out jumbled: "Whoever gets to marry President Yin must be the luckiest woman in the world, right?"
"You really think so?" Charles Yin raised an eyebrow, unable to hide his teasing.
Cici stole a quick glance at Charles Yin, then lowered her eyes and mumbled, "Mm."
