Inside the Sky-Piercing Tower, Evan Yang spent nearly four hundred years. Originally, he planned to stay for just three hundred, but due to the Sky-Piercing Stele, he spent another hundred years mastering the third form of Sky-Piercing Mind-Will: No-Shadow.
A full hundred years—when Evan Yang finally woke, he could hardly believe he'd spent that long mastering this skill.
"It really is hard to learn," Evan thought. He used to master arts instantly, but this time it took a hundred years, leaving him full of emotion.
"Kid, did you really spend a hundred years just learning this useless thing?" Old Clam had accompanied Evan throughout, curious why he'd waste so much time on an art that barely mattered on this continent.
"Just because it's useless now doesn't mean it'll always be useless," Evan replied with a smile, showing no regret.
"Later? Eh, whatever. You're a weirdo. I'm going back to sleep—just wake me if you get out." Old Clam couldn't understand Evan and drifted off.
Evan grinned, "I spent a hundred years, but I don't regret it. Someday, it'll be useful."
Then Evan prepared to leave the Sky-Piercing Stele.
Inside the Sky-Piercing Stele was a space. Evan had spent a hundred years here, but now, ready to leave, he didn't know how. He looked around, splitting his divine sense into five hundred strands—the current limit of his Ever-Changing Thousandfold Strikes.
Every corner of the space was crystal clear to Evan's eyes.
"Wait—are those two name marks? Aren't those the ones from the Sky-Piercing Stele when I came in?" Evan muttered.
"You guessed right. Carve your name beside them and you can leave." The Sky-Piercing Mind-Will echoed in Evan's mind.
"Carve it?" Evan muttered.
"That's right."
Evan didn't know why, but to get out, he took out his dagger and quickly carved his name: "Evan Yang."
When he finished the last stroke, light flashed and he found himself back in the outer space of the Sky-Piercing Stele.
"Whew, finally out." The light on this floor was dazzling; Evan blinked and smiled, still not used to it.
Looking around, everything was unchanged from a hundred years ago. Evan sighed, "I've been in the Sky-Piercing Tower for four hundred years—just one hundred more and I can leave."
What to do with the last hundred years? Bored, Evan split his divine sense into five hundred strands, searching the space for anything unusual.
His five hundred strands swept the top floor of the Sky-Piercing Tower like woven threads—every corner, every detail, all fed into Evan's mind.
"Nothing special." After a while, Evan had scanned every corner of this top floor's space, but found nothing unusual.
Just then, one strand of Evan's divine sense discovered something beneath a pile of rocks.
Curious, he walked over, cleared away the rocks, and saw a small tower.
It was like a fake tower placed in an artificial hill, and the hill had collapsed, burying the tower beneath it.
"This tower looks really familiar." Evan picked it up, puzzled.
He tried to recall where he'd seen it before.
His memory drifted back four hundred years, to when he first entered. He slowly moved through the scenes, finally settling on the Sky-Piercing Tower. "Isn't this just a miniature version of the Sky-Piercing Tower?"
The discovery shocked Evan. He started studying the tower, even attacking it. When his attacks landed and the tower didn't react at all, he muttered, "Even Spirit-Wandering attacks can't damage it—what kind of tower is this?"
Not even Spirit-Wandering attacks could harm it; Evan began to suspect it was a magic treasure. If not an Immortal artifact, it was at least a true-grade treasure.
With this suspicion, Evan started researching it, finally confirming, "It must be a magic treasure. Let's see if I can refine it."
He refined it just like his dagger, but not as a Life-Bound Weapon—just as a usable magic treasure. It had no amplification effect. Life-Bound Weapons boost attacks, like how his dagger got stronger after being refined.
As for the tower, Evan just wanted to see what it could do, so he refined it.
Like with the dagger, refining was difficult. In the end, Evan had to summon the Sacred Flame. The flame spun excitedly around the tower, helping him refine it.
Even so, refining the tower took longer than the dagger—two full days before it was finished.
"Whew, it must be an Immortal artifact." Evan muttered at the tower. Just then, information flowed from the tower.
After reading the information, Evan was both shocked and delighted.
His dagger had a Sword Spirit; the Sky-Piercing Tower had a Tower Spirit. The Tower Spirit was the miniature tower Evan had refined—it was the most important part, and with it, Evan could freely control the entire tower.
"Even better than a ring!" Evan exclaimed, thrilled.
The thought of bringing friends and family here to train for fifty years—equal to just one year outside—made him restless with excitement.
Next, Evan burst out laughing in delight.
Just then, Evan's laughter stopped abruptly, as if frozen. He cursed, "Damn it!"
Now that Evan controlled the Sky-Piercing Tower, he could see the outside—he realized the tower was sitting in some kind of space.
With a flash, Evan stepped out of the Sky-Piercing Tower. If any Free Alliance members saw him, they'd be shocked—the tower wasn't supposed to open for ten years, and only when the time was up could someone exit.
But Evan was now the master of the Sky-Piercing Tower; he could come and go as he pleased.
"Who brought the Sky-Piercing Tower into this space?" Evan wondered aloud.
At that moment, the space shifted. Evan flashed back into the tower and watched the outside world through the Tower Spirit, wanting to know who had brought the tower here.
The space flickered, and a figure appeared beside the tower, covered in wounds. A voice echoed in the space, "An hour's up—so that's all you've got? I thought you'd be more impressive."
"Your Blue Clan won't end well!" the wounded person shouted angrily.

"Aren't I helping you? How can you say the Blue Clan won't end well? Look, the tower you wanted is right here! Ha!" Benson Blue laughed wildly at the wounded person, then withdrew as their angry shouts echoed, seeming to leave the space.
"It's her! But who was that other person?" Evan had seen the whole process—the wounded one was none other than Jiang Xin.
Jiang Xin struggled to her feet, walked to the tower, and said bitterly, "Kid Han, when will you finally come out?"
Evan felt Jiang Xin's helpless, sorrowful gaze. With a thought, the Sky-Piercing Tower pulled Jiang Xin inside.
Jiang Xin, wounded and about to sigh, suddenly felt herself drawn by some force. When she saw light again, she was in another space, with a familiar figure beside her.
"You!" Jiang Xin exclaimed, shocked.
"Don't talk. Let me heal you first!" Evan had brought Jiang Xin in, and saw her body was full of fractures, many places sunken in as if destroyed by powerful attacks. Furious, he suppressed his anger and quickly spoke.
Jiang Xin sensed Evan's anger. Seriously injured, she closed her eyes. Evan began to infuse his unique spiritual energy, which started healing every part of her body.
Jiang Xin didn't open her eyes until she felt much better. She looked at Evan and said, "Thank you."
"What happened?" Evan asked impatiently.
Seeing Evan again, Jiang Xin was excited, but thinking of their current situation, she felt helpless and began to recount what had happened.
When Evan heard that the Blue Clan went to the Free Alliance and took the Sky-Piercing Tower, his expression changed. After hearing everything else, he snorted coldly, startling Jiang Xin. "Damn it, Blue Clan! Just to kill me, you hired so many Spirit-Wandering experts."
"Li Binglong's physical body was just destroyed too," Jiang Xin said helplessly, then produced a Nascent Soul.
The Nascent Soul was Li Binglong's. Its aura was so weak, it looked like it could die at any moment.
Seeing Li Binglong like this, Evan wanted nothing more than to destroy the Blue Clan right away.
"Give him to me," Evan said, asking Jiang Xin for the Nascent Soul.
Jiang Xin trusted Evan completely, so she handed the Nascent Soul over without hesitation.
The Nascent Soul's owner opened his eyes weakly. Seeing Evan, he perked up a bit. "Brother Evan."
"I'm really sorry." Evan said simply, feeling guilty for the misfortune his presence had brought.
"You're our hope. No matter what happens to me, please help Godly Thief Sect in the future." Li Binglong spoke from the heart.
Evan knew it was easy to promise, but hard to do. After all, Godly Thief Sect was a faction everyone feared, all wanting its great fortune.
Evan didn't hesitate at all. "Don't worry. With how you've treated me, how could I possibly turn my back on you?"
"Thank you!" That simple promise made it all worthwhile for Li Binglong, and Jiang Xin felt the same. Evan had never pledged himself to Godly Thief Sect before—this time, his words bound him to them.
But Evan didn't think anything was wrong. He just continued, "Let's help you restore your body."
"My body? Unless I seize one, or get help from a Spirit-Wandering expert, it's almost impossible to recover," Li Binglong said. With only his Nascent Soul left, his body destroyed, he'd need to seize another or get help from a Spirit-Wandering expert to restore it.
"Spirit-Wandering expert?" Evan smiled, then told Li Binglong to rest and prepare.
Li Binglong and Jiang Xin looked at Evan, puzzled by what he was up to.
"You have another way?" Jiang Xin asked curiously.
"Nope. Unless you seize a body or get a Spirit-Wandering expert's power," Evan replied with a smile.
"Then why have him prepare?" Jiang Xin asked, watching the Nascent Soul resting nearby, puzzled.
"Of course he needs to prepare. Otherwise, how will he have the strength to restore his body later?" Evan didn't explain directly, just said Li Binglong would need to rest up before he could recover.
Could Li Binglong really restore his body on his own? Jiang Xin looked at Evan, unable to figure out what he meant.
