Instead of taking Ian and Hannah out of the urban village, the group led them into a private room inside a teahouse within the district.
Inside the private room sat a middle-aged man weighing over 400 pounds. His left arm was wrapped in bandages and slung from his neck, making him look rather ridiculous.
"Boss, we saw these two asking around about that little punk, so we brought them back." The buzz-cut man who had brought Ian and Hannah reported to the fat middle-aged man.
The middle-aged fat man squinted at them, and when he got a good look at Hannah’s face, a lewd glint flashed in his eyes. He asked, “Who are you two? Why are you looking for Wade Wang?”
“Who are you? And what do you want with us?”
Ian shot back, and as he spoke, he pulled over a chair and said to Hannah Han, "Have a seat, Hannah."
Hannah rolled her eyes at Ian, but she wasn’t worried about this group doing anything to them. After all, Ian’s skills spoke for themselves—five guys were nothing, even ten wouldn’t be a problem.
“Damn it, who said you could sit?”
The buzz-cut man kicked over the chair and cursed at Ian.
Ian’s face instantly turned cold. He stared at the buzz-cut man and said, “Pick up the chair and put it back.”
"Fuck! Who the hell do you think you are, talking to me like that!" The buzz-cut guy exploded in rage and swung his palm straight at Ian Song's face.
Ian reached out and grabbed his wrist, then drove his knee hard into the guy's abdomen. The buzz-cut man's scream echoed as he doubled over in agony, curling up like a cooked shrimp.
Ian let go of him and said coldly, "Set the chair back up."
"Set up your mother's cunt!" the buzz-cut guy spat back, vulgar and defiant.
The buzz-cut guy roared, yanked out a steel pipe from his waistband, and swung it viciously at Ian's head.
Bang!
Just as he swung the pipe, Ian's size 42 shoe slammed into his stomach again. The buzz-cut guy shot across the room like a broken kite, crashed into the wall, bounced off, and landed on the floor.
"Fuck him up!" yelled one of the thugs.
The other three thugs, furious to see their buddy sent flying, all whipped out steel pipes and charged Ian, swinging at his head.
In a blur, Ian's figure flickered—before the three thugs could react, their target seemed to vanish from sight.
Bang bang bang!
Almost simultaneously, Ian chopped the three thugs on the back of their necks with the edge of his hand. The three grunted and collapsed to the ground.
The overweight middle-aged man was stunned to see his four henchmen knocked down in less than a minute.
After dealing with the four, Ian moved a chair behind Hannah Han and smiled, "Hannah, please have a seat!"
"Quit messing around, this is serious!" Hannah Han said irritably.
"Yes, ma'am!" Ian winked exaggeratedly, then turned to the overweight man and asked casually, "Hey, fatty, did Wade Wang hack your arm?"
After a brief shock, the overweight man regained his composure. Hearing Ian call him 'fatty', a flash of anger crossed his face. He said coldly, "Kid, do you even know who you're talking to?"
Whoosh!
Suddenly, Ian vanished from his spot and appeared right in front of the overweight man. He grabbed the man's throat, lifting him off the ground with ease.
Feeling that iron-grip hand on his neck, Norman Huang's breathing grew rapid, as if his soul was about to leave his body.
Just when he thought he was about to die, Ian suddenly let go.
Bang!
He collapsed to the floor like a pile of dead meat, coughing and gasping for breath before he finally recovered.
Ian looked down at him and said coldly, "You answer, I ask. No nonsense, or I'll get mad! Now, was it Wade Wang who hacked your arm?"
"It was him." Norman Huang hesitated, then nodded. Forced to bow his head for now—he'd get revenge later.
"Why did he hack you?" Ian pressed.
"I don't know!" Norman Huang's eyes flickered.
Ian's tone grew colder. "Really don't know?"
"I swear, I really don't know why he hacked me!" Norman Huang insisted, bracing himself.
Ian waved his hand, and a steel pipe dropped into his grip. He brought it down, smashing Norman Huang's other arm with a sickening crack.
Norman Huang let out a shrill scream, his flabby body twitching uncontrollably.
Ian sneered, "Every time you lie, I'll break an arm or a leg! If you think you're a spider with plenty of limbs, go ahead and keep lying!"
"No... I'll talk... I ordered my men to beat up that kid's grandma, so he came after me!"
Hannah Han, who'd felt a bit of sympathy seeing Norman crippled, lost all pity when she heard he'd attacked Wade Wang's grandma. She scolded, "How can you be so heartless? You even hurt a seventy- or eighty-year-old woman!"
"Hannah, talking conscience with scum like this is pointless!" Ian rolled his eyes, then pressed Norman Huang further: "So why did you order the hit on his grandma?"
Under Ian's intimidating gaze, Norman Huang dared not lie: "I was dealing with a traitor when that trash-picking old lady happened to see it. She called the cops. I just wanted to scare her, not kill her. She fell on her own and died!"
"How did you know she called the cops?" Ian asked sharply.
"The police substation chief is my cousin!" Norman Huang confessed.
"Do you know where Wade Wang is?" Ian pressed.
"No idea. I'm looking for him too!" Norman Huang answered, shaking.
Hearing this, Mark Ma was shocked. He hurriedly gathered his men and rushed over, catching Ian and Hannah Han red-handed.
Ian raised the steel pipe again, breaking one of Norman Huang's legs. Ignoring his screams, Ian tossed the pipe aside, grabbed Hannah Han's hand, and headed out.
Once outside the teahouse, Hannah Han fumed, "Just letting him off like that?"
"We're not the cops. Breaking one arm and one leg is enough revenge for Wade Wang's grandma. Right now, our job is to find Wade." Ian shrugged helplessly.
"Guess that's all we can do." Hannah Han said, feeling down. "By the way, can you really find Wade Wang?"
"Relax. As long as he's still in Riverstone City, I can find him!" Ian gave Hannah Han a reassuring look.
Just as Ian and Hannah Han left the urban village and were about to drive off, two police cars sped over. A group of officers jumped out, pointed their guns, and shouted, "Hands up! Don't move!"
Hannah Han's face changed instantly, her eyes filled with worry.
Ian's expression also turned cold.
"These two are dangerous elements—cuff them and take them away!" Mark Ma waved, face icy. He'd just gotten a call from Norman Huang saying a young man and woman had broken his arm and leg, interrogated him, and exposed Ma as his corrupt cousin.
Hearing this, Mark Ma was shocked. He hurriedly gathered his men and rushed over, catching Ian and Hannah Han red-handed.
