Extending the Black Hand Again

Evan Yang's Divine Spirit domain was expanding. Faced with this situation, all he could do was close his eyes and cultivate.

Soul-Reaping Water and Eldon, the Ancient Tree Soul, could only watch from the side until Evan's expansion finished. When he opened his eyes, he said, "Don't go swallowing things recklessly anymore. My changes are already fast enough."

Evan felt a bit puzzled. His strength had already reached mid Spirit-God Realm, even faster than he'd expected. The culprit behind this result was the transformation triggered by that naturally formed old monster.

"Isn't that great? No one else could even dream of such a thing," Soul-Reaping Water teased.

"I'm already too fast," Evan said helplessly. Soul-Reaping Water couldn't understand—others would kill for faster cultivation, so why was this guy frowning when he leveled up so quickly?

Now at mid Spirit-God Realm, Evan knew his power had surged again. Unless his next opponent was especially strong, he could fight or even kill them despite the realm gap.

After leaving the tower, Evan started heading toward the exit.

A few days later, he spotted the Soul-Breaker Group. The burly vice-captain saw Evan alive and asked curiously, "You're still not dead?"

"You want me dead that badly?" Evan replied with a smile.

"Not exactly. It's just that people who stay in there too long usually come out heavily wounded—or die inside and become yin souls. But you, well, a whole group came looking for you, all fierce and aggressive, but somehow never ran into you," the burly man said suspiciously.

"A whole group?" Evan realized it was probably the Fiend-Realm guys and those four mysterious strangers.

"Yeah, a lot of them went in, but fewer came out," the burly man nodded.

"You remember pretty well," Evan said with a smile, then left the Yin-Soul Domain under the curious gazes of the crowd.

This trip to the Yin-Soul Domain made Evan realize there were many powerful creatures out there—and that in this cultivation world, humans weren't the only ones who could cultivate.

Besides that, Evan needed to figure out the identities of those four attackers. He didn't want to be hunted without knowing why.

Soon Evan reached the spot where he'd entered, flashed outside, and landed on Wraithstar.

"Ah, the outside world is still better," Evan laughed as he saw daylight again. Then he flashed away, heading for Genius Star.

At the Fenn Family's Wind God Hall, the Fiend-Realm people and Vice-Captain Li reported the battle results to the Fenns.

"He ran into the pseudo-Immortal region?" the steward asked suspiciously.

"Yeah," Vice-Captain Li replied.

"So how are you sure he's dead?" The steward sounded unhappy.

"He was injured by our four-man Cross-Kill Spear Net before running in, and we guarded the area for half a month. So there's no way he survived," Vice-Captain Li said confidently.

Everyone relaxed after hearing Vice-Captain Li's words. If Evan could survive that, he'd truly be a monster.

But the Fiend-Realm people and Third Young Master Fenn still weren't satisfied.

"What about the tower?" Third Young Master Fenn suddenly asked.

"Well, since he entered the pseudo-Immortal yin soul region, we didn't go in," Vice-Captain Li replied awkwardly.

"Damn it, my fiancée is still inside!" Third Young Master Fenn cursed loudly.

The Fiend-Realm youth frowned, muttering to himself, "My people are still in his hands."

Vice-Captain Li and his team could only stand there, helpless as they were criticized.

"Forget it. At least the target is dead. As for the Yale Clan, let's call it settled," the steward said, frowning at Third Young Master Fenn.

Just as everyone was about to disperse, the steward received new information, his expression shifting unpredictably.

The crowd was startled, as if something major had happened.

"What's wrong?" Third Young Master Fenn asked, curious.

"He's not dead," the steward said coldly.

The happiest were the Fiend-Realm people—they wanted to capture Evan alive.

But the Fenn Family was anything but happy. Evan's survival meant it would be easy to trace those four attackers, especially since they used the Cross-Kill Spear Net.

"How is that possible!" Vice-Captain Li exclaimed, incredulous.

"He's already gone to Genius Star. Don't tell me he's possessed by a yin soul," the steward said angrily.

"Steward, I say we should hide these people for now. If that kid really shows up at the Genius Pavilion, our Fenn Family will be asking for trouble," Fenn Yue Song said. He knew the steward's temper—he might even kill his four trusted subordinates on the spot.

The steward snorted, "Take them into seclusion. Without my orders, they're not to step out of the Fenn estate."
