Return Once More

"Please, have a seat."

Looking at Hannah Han, who was still staring at him with an angry and aggrieved expression, Landon Lu felt a bit confused—what exactly had he done to offend this young lady so deeply?

"Sit? Fine, I'll sit! You think I'm afraid of you?" Hannah Han shot Landon a glare and sat down across from him.

"Miss Han, may I ask what brings you here?" Landon Lu poured Hannah Han a cup of tea and asked with a smile.

Bang!

Hannah Han took the tea, had a sip, then slammed the cup heavily onto the table and demanded, "Landon Lu, answer me—what exactly is so wrong with me that you insist on avoiding me everywhere I go?"

"Have I been avoiding you? Honestly, I think Miss Han is pretty great in every way."

Heh!

Hannah Han snorted coldly at that. "You call that not avoiding me? I just joined the Special Police, and you immediately stopped coming to work for days on end. Then you went and quit altogether! If that's not avoiding me, what is?"

Hearing Hannah Han say this, Landon Lu couldn't help but laugh and cry at the same time. "Miss Han, you've really misunderstood. I stopped coming to work and resigned because of personal issues, not because I was deliberately avoiding you!"

Hannah Han continued, "Fine, let's say you really were busy. What about the month before that? I knew you'd gone to the Homeworld, so I chased after you. But as soon as I arrived, you ran back to the Tenth Natural Star. When I got to the Tenth, you were off to the Seventh Natural Star. I followed you there, and you were already on another planet! If that's not intentionally avoiding me, then what is it?"

Hearing this, Landon Lu finally understood why Hannah Han was so angry and resentful upon seeing him. But honestly, he hadn't been avoiding her on purpose—it was all just coincidence.

Still, thinking about how she'd chased after him across so many planets, he couldn't help but admire her determination. To go to such lengths just to pursue a guy—she was really something.

But admiration aside, Landon really didn't have those kinds of feelings for Hannah Han. Besides, he was about to leave this world, so there was no way anything could happen between them.

The next moment, Landon Lu looked at Hannah Han with a serious expression and said slowly, "Miss Han, I understand your feelings. I'm honored, and I'm truly touched that you'd go to such lengths for me. But... there can't be anything between us. I'm sorry."

Hearing the first half, Hannah Han was actually happy, thinking her sincerity had finally moved this blockhead. But the second half made her face change instantly. She shot to her feet, pointed at Landon, and demanded angrily, "Why not? If you don't give me a real answer, I won't let you off!"

Landon Lu shook his head with a wry smile. "Because we're not people of the same world."

Bullshit!

Hannah Han snapped, "I never looked down on you, so why are you looking down on yourself?"

Hearing this, Landon Lu was startled and realized Hannah Han had misunderstood him. So he explained, "Miss Han, I meant it literally. We're people from two different worlds—I'm not from this world, and soon I'll have to leave it. Do you understand what I'm saying now?"

Hearing Landon Lu's explanation, Hannah Han's face grew even darker. She shouted, "Landon, do you really think I'm a three-year-old? What era do you think this is? You expect me to believe such a lame lie?"

"Sigh, why is it that no one ever believes the truth?" Landon Lu sighed helplessly. Then, he reached out, grabbed Hannah Han's hand, and in a flash, they appeared on a hillside dozens of miles outside Mesa City.

"Ah! Where are we?" Hannah Han exclaimed in shock.

"This is a small hillside thirty miles outside Mesa City," Landon replied.

"But weren't we just at the Spring Moon Tavern?"

"I used a divine art called the Art of Great Teleportation to bring you here!"

After Landon's explanation, Hannah Han looked thoughtful. Then she turned to Landon and asked, "Are you really not from this world?"

Landon Lu nodded.

"Then can't you stay here for me?"

"This girl is so self-absorbed!" Landon thought, shaking his head. "It's out of my hands. At most, I can only stay in this world for another hour!"

Hearing this, Hannah Han's expression dimmed. "Let's go back."

"Alright!"

Landon nodded, grabbed Hannah Han's wrist, and with a flash, they returned directly to the private room in Spring Moon Tavern.

"Miss Han, I have a few things to take care of, so I'll be leaving now!" Landon released Hannah Han's hand, smiled at her, and turned to walk toward the door.

"Landon!"

Hannah Han called out.

Landon instinctively turned around, and suddenly, a warm, soft body pressed against him. Hannah's moist cherry lips landed directly on his.

It was just a fleeting touch!

Hannah Han retreated to a meter away, looking at Landon with a shy expression. "Landon, I hope you won't forget me!"

"Alright, I'll remember you!"

Landon nodded and strode out of the private room. With a flash, he arrived at the 96th Division.

Although Lily Lan hadn’t been in the army camp for long, after more than a month of training, her spirit and temperament had changed noticeably. Landon's arrival made her very happy, and she chattered away to him about life in the camp.

Suddenly, Landon asked, "By the way, Lily, how long has it been since you saw Donna Dong?"

Lily Lan thought for a moment. "It must be over a month now. Oh, Mr. Lu, do you know where Sister Donna went?"

"She went on a secret mission!"

Landon forced a smile.

Leaving the 96th Division, Landon had only ten minutes left before his return. With a blink, he arrived at his Mesa City villa, where Joy, Cici, and nine peak-earl vampires were waiting.

The heart cores obtained from Roxon City had already been absorbed by Liza Li, Victor Wang, Liza Yale, and the other nine vampires. Now, all of their cultivation had reached peak earl rank.

In addition, the Tian Clan’s six super-god-level warriors and four Five-Star Psychic Adepts were also waiting here.

In the main cultivation world, even Golden Core experts are rare and combat power is weak. With this group, any one of them could dominate. With their help, Landon could simply direct them to handle things and wouldn’t need to personally intervene anymore!

With a wave of his hand, Landon stored all twenty-one of them in the inner world of the Divine Temple.

The substitute Landon Lu was still striving on a planet within the Divine Temple’s inner world. Restoring his identity here might not be a good thing, so with his consent, Landon let him continue his own path.

"Meow-Meow, I'm ready to return!" Landon said, a bit excited.

"Alright!"

As Meow-Meow’s words fell, Landon felt his vision blur. He was already standing inside the white-silver Gate of Return. Of the six portals, one had disappeared—Landon knew the vanished portal belonged to the fantasy world he’d conquered.

However, that world had already become his Subordinate World. As long as he was in the main cultivation world, he could visit it anytime.
