War God Squad

Three days later, all the rough jade Ian Song bought in Blackfield was successfully shipped to Riverstone City.

It nearly filled up the underground garage of his villa.

That night, Ian personally cut all the stones and stored the finished jade in his storage ring.

The next day, he went to the bank and stored this batch of jade—worth tens of billions—in a safe deposit box. Then he gave Hannah Han the password and told her to withdraw jade from the box whenever the shop needed inventory.

He was confident this stockpile would last the shop for over a decade—assuming they didn’t open new branches or expand.

But even if they did expand, Ian wasn’t worried about running out of jade. With General Chachai handing over nearly half of his mine’s output, Shayan Jade Boutique was sure to become a giant like Zhouman Jewelers within ten years.

That’s right—the name Ian chose for the shop was “Shayan,” a mash-up of Hannah’s and his own names. Whether it sounded good or not didn’t matter; as long as Shayan made a name for itself, nobody would care.

Just as Shayan Jade Boutique’s launch promotion was in full swing and the grand opening was approaching, Ian suddenly got a call from Charles Zhao. He said Edward Zhao had ordered him to rush to Flame City immediately.

On the phone, Charles didn’t say what Edward wanted.

But Ian didn’t dare slack off—he made a few quick arrangements and then boarded a plane straight to Flame City.

Outside the airport, Ian Song spotted Charles Zhao waiting for him.

"Fourth Uncle, what happened? Why did Patriarch call me over so urgently?" Ian greeted Charles with a quick hug and jumped straight to the question.

Charles Zhao shook his head. "Don’t ask me, I’m not sure either. You’ll find out as soon as you meet the Patriarch."

Half an hour later.

Ian arrived at Edward Zhao’s quiet courtyard residence.

"Greetings, Patriarch!" Ian bowed respectfully to Edward Zhao.

"Come with me," Edward Zhao said.

Edward Zhao nodded, then led the way straight toward the study.

"Sit," Edward Zhao pointed at a wooden chair.

"Okay." Ian nodded and sat down, staying quiet.
