Probably Just Purely Brainless

Damn old man?

Hearing those words, Elder Leonard Huo's expression instantly darkened.

"Courting death!"

Elder Huo glared furiously, shouting in rage.

Over a dozen bodyguards instantly turned to look this way. A few of them clenched their fists and strode straight toward Elder Huo.

"Courting death? Looks to me like you're the one asking for it!"

After having already beaten Harvey Xie to a pulp, these men stared at Elder Huo without a trace of fear in their eyes.

All they showed was pure disdain.

Just now, Harvey Xie had strutted in all arrogant, even intimidating them for a moment. But in the blink of an eye, he’d been beaten into a pig-head and was still lying on the ground.

Now, hearing Elder Huo's words, these bodyguards—already itching for a fight—turned their attention to him one by one.

Two of the bodyguards swaggered right up toward Elder Huo. Evan Lin watched coldly from the side, a faintly amused look in his eyes.

Just as those two were about to reach Elder Huo, he let out a cold snort and casually waved his hand. A scorching gust of wind instantly sent both men flying.

The two men traced an arc through the air before crashing to the ground, rolling around in agony, their faces twisted in pain.

If you looked closely, you’d see their entire faces were covered in peeling, blistered skin—like they’d been seared by intense heat in just seconds.

"Hmm?"

Seeing this, Uncle Victor Li—who had just started to relax—let out a soft, surprised sound. His brows furrowed as he looked over, a sudden sense of unease rising in his heart.

Watching their companions get slapped down by Elder Huo, the remaining dozen bodyguards raised their heads. After giving Harvey Xie a final kick, they all clenched their fists and glared at Elder Huo, eyes cold as ice. "Looks like you really have a death wish, old man!"

"Get him!"

The whole group charged at Elder Huo. Yolanda Fang and Lynn Chen both paled, while Elder Huo finally stepped forward, casually forming a spell seal and murmuring a few words. With a flick of his hand, flames suddenly erupted on the men at the front.

The flames were hot and bright, and in an instant, their clothes were burned away.

"Ah!"

"Holy crap! What is this?!"

The group, now covered in flames, rolled around on the ground screaming in pain. The air filled with a smell like roasted meat.

"Uncle Victor!" Melissa Mu's face changed at the sight before her.

Uncle Victor Li sprang up from his seat and dashed over to the burning men. Rapidly chanting a spell, he tapped his fingers at them, sending out streams of water. Yet every time the water touched the flames, it only made them burn hotter.

Uncle Victor's face fell. Without hesitation, he bowed deeply to Elder Huo, his voice trembling and urgent: "I had no idea an Immortal Master was present. Please forgive my offense—have mercy!"

Melissa Mu was stunned. She hadn’t expected Uncle Victor, so confident just moments ago, to suddenly bow so respectfully to the old man.

Uncle Victor Li gave her a slight shake of the head. Melissa was no fool—she instantly understood, fell silent, and watched the bodyguards roasting in the flames, her heart pounding in shock.

The water Uncle Victor had used was Daoist art—though the stream was small, it could usually put out a blaze with ease. But this time, the water only made the fire burn stronger. Clearly, Elder Huo's technique was far superior.

Elder Huo snorted coldly and waved his hand. The flames on the bodyguards vanished instantly. Many of them were left with scorched skin, trembling on the ground—disfigured for life, but at least alive.

Seeing this, Uncle Victor Li let out a breath of relief, then looked respectfully at Elder Leonard Huo and asked carefully, "May I ask where Immortal Master is from?"

"Medicine King Valley," Elder Leonard Huo replied coldly.

Uncle Victor Li and Melissa Mu both stiffened, anxiety flashing in their eyes.

"Elder Huo?" Uncle Victor Li asked, his voice trembling.

"No need to panic. If those men hadn’t insulted me, I wouldn’t have acted. Medicine King Valley isn’t unreasonable." Elder Leonard Huo’s voice was cold as ever. He tapped Harvey Xie on the ground with his toe, eyes full of displeasure. "Get up!"

Harvey Xie scrambled to his feet, hair wild and filthy, looking a complete mess. "Master!" he called out.

"So you do remember I’m your master? Aren’t you ashamed of yourself?" Elder Leonard Huo snapped.

"No, Master! It's just—my Inner Strength, it's gone!" Harvey Xie hurried to explain, seeing Elder Huo's sour mood.

Afraid Elder Huo wouldn’t believe him, Harvey Xie let out a shout and slammed his fist into the ground.

Bang!

With Harvey Xie's punch, the whole ground caved in, leaving a deep fist mark on the surface. The shockwave even blasted a nearby bodyguard off the ground.

The force of the punch was fierce!

How... how could this happen? Harvey Xie stared in confusion—his Inner Strength had returned!

Seeing this, Uncle Victor Li immediately started flattering: "Elder Huo's disciple truly has profound cultivation!"

At this moment, Melissa Mu also rose from her seat, looking at Elder Huo and the still-stunned Harvey Xie with a face full of regret. She simply couldn't understand how a disciple from Medicine King Valley could be so idiotic.

He obviously has strength, yet was still gang-beaten by more than a dozen bodyguards?

Could it be he has some kind of fetish?

Thinking of this made Melissa Mu feel nothing but disgust.

Elder Huo, seeing Harvey Xie's punch, grew even angrier: "If you want to be beaten, I'll clean you up back in the Valley! Outside, stop disgracing me!"

Elder Huo flicked his sleeve in irritation; Harvey Xie was left speechless, unable to figure out what had happened.

At this moment, his gaze suddenly drifted to Evan Lin, who stood beside Lynn Chen and Yolanda Fang.

Looking at Evan Lin's detached, faintly amused expression, Harvey Xie felt even more stifled. He had wanted to show off in front of Evan and scare him, but ended up getting beaten again!

This beating—he actually brought it on himself!

"Does he... does he have some kind of special fetish?" Yolanda Fang muttered quietly.

"Disgusting," Lynn Chen frowned outright.

Harvey Xie almost spat blood hearing this.

"No fetish, most likely just purely brainless," Evan Lin said flatly.
