Cecilia Gu's words brought tears to Rona Muir's eyes.

After something like this happened, who could she talk to?

Should she tell her family?

Could her parents accept it?

What about the child?

Should she tell her assistant?

Could they really comfort her?

None of them could.

So she kept pretending to be calm, forcing herself not to think about it.

But right now, her lifelong best friend was by her side. All of Rona Muir's strength crumbled in an instant. Tears streamed silently down her face, but she didn't say a word.

Realizing how serious things had become, Cecilia Gu didn’t hesitate. She told both Rona Muir’s assistant and her own, “You two handle the rest of the speeches. I’m taking her home now.”

The assistants saw Rona Muir like this and knew something serious had happened. Otherwise, President Gu wouldn’t have come all this way.

They all nodded, indicating it was no problem.

Cecilia Gu then greeted the Tournament Organizers, explaining that Rona Muir was suddenly unwell during the meeting, so she was taking her for emergency treatment.

The Tournament Organizers were very understanding, saying they could relate and allowed Rona Muir’s assistant to speak on her behalf.

Cecilia Gu immediately took Rona Muir out of the venue, put her in her own car, and drove off alone, not caring where she went—just wanting to find a quiet place to talk.

After seeing Cecilia Gu, Rona Muir was on the verge of collapse, so Cecilia didn’t go far. She picked a quiet spot, stopped the car, and asked, “What happened?”

Rona Muir just cried, not saying a word.

Peter Pingshan called me, totally falling apart. Clearly, something must have happened to you two," Cecilia Gu said. "I dropped everything to come find you because I need to know what’s going on. You two were fine yesterday, just on vacation and having a meeting. How did things change so much overnight?

"It really was just one night," Rona Muir choked out. "One night, and everything changed."
