"How dare you!" Elder Zack "Ghosthide" Zhang from Nine-Dragon Gate finally snapped. Nobody had ever mouthed off to him like Ryan Ling just did. He couldn't hold it in anymore—right as Harlan Yanro was getting wrecked, Ghosthide suddenly waved his hand, and five Heavenly Immortals behind him jumped into the fray!
Including Ghosthide, Nine-Dragon Gate showed up in Immortal-Domain City with eight people this time—every single one a Heavenly Immortal, no joke. Now with five of them charging in, the whole situation flipped in a heartbeat.
Five waves of terrifying power crashed down, flooding the whole arena. All the advantage Ryan had just built up? Instantly gone. He’d already burned through all his reserves fighting Harlan Yanro—remember, he’s only early-stage Glazed Earth Immortal right now. Even for a Glazed Earth Immortal, there are limits. Facing this many top dogs at once, there was zero guarantee he could hold out!
But Ryan wasn’t about to call for backup yet. He still had four top-tier Heavenly Immortal bodies inside him, each packed with insane potential. If he let those cores explode, the power would be off the charts!
So yeah, Ryan still wanted to fight!
"Kill!" Ryan didn’t hesitate—he shouted, and all four Heavenly Immortal bodies inside him started burning like crazy. His Heavenly Immortal power exploded out, and for a second, he looked like a whole new person.
"How is this possible?" Harlan Yanro’s face went sheet-white. Ryan still had juice left, and the power he unleashed was totally bonkers. In a flash, he actually held his ground against all five Heavenly Immortals!
Even the five Heavenly Immortals were floored. Their combined power should’ve been way stronger than Harlan Yanro—a hundred times over. Under force like that, Ryan shouldn’t stand a chance. But reality flipped the script and left them speechless.
Ghosthide was just as stunned in the back—he had no clue how any of this was even possible!
"Go! Crush him—he has to die!" Ghosthide might’ve been shocked, but he was still a late-stage Heavenly Immortal, and you could tell he had some serious treasure stashed. No way Ryan was going to scare him off now!
With Ghosthide’s roar, the five Heavenly Immortals went wild—this time, they were going all out!
This time was way fiercer than before. Maybe earlier they were slacking since there were five of them, but after getting burned, no way they'd make the same mistake twice. In a blink, all five joined forces, their power roaring out like a tidal wave!
For a second, Ryan felt like he was chained up, his whole body about to get ripped apart!
Right then, Ryan finally felt the endless, crushing power. Even burning four Heavenly Immortal bodies, he just couldn't keep up anymore!
And what really made him despair—his Glazed Earth Immortal aura was starting to fall apart. Even if those five weren’t going all out, his Earth Immortal strength just couldn’t handle that kind of Heavenly Immortal power!
Everything was hitting the breaking point!
Ryan felt like he was seriously about to drop!
His face was pale as a ghost!
"Crap, look! Ryan’s barely hanging on—his aura’s falling apart, he’s breaking down inside and out!"
"Looks like he’s hit his limit. No matter how strong Ryan is, facing five Heavenly Immortals at once, there’s gotta be a cap! This round—he’s doomed to lose!"
"Yeah, even if he’s doomed to lose, you gotta admit what Ryan pulled off today is legendary. If Nine-Dragon Gate really tries to kill him, we all need to step up and protect him!"
...
All around, the spectators started shouting—everyone could see exactly what was happening!
"Ryan Ling, oh Ryan Ling, still trying to act tough now? If you just kneel and beg for mercy, maybe I’ll spare your sorry life for the sake of your talent!" Ghosthide finally relaxed, giving Ryan a smug, icy glare.
Harlan Yanro let out a sigh of relief too. He didn’t say a word, but you could tell—Ryan’s strength had totally convinced him.
Hearing Ghosthide’s words, everyone else could only sigh. Right now, begging for mercy looked like Ryan’s only way out.
But just then, Ryan suddenly gave a cold little laugh and shot back, "Beg you for mercy? Who do you think you are? You think you’ve won? Dream on!"
"What did you say? Still stubborn, huh? Fine—let’s see what ‘worse than dead’ really feels like!" Ghosthide snapped, and the five Heavenly Immortals instantly whipped out five giant crystal blades. These things were so sharp, they could slice through stone like butter—never mind flesh!
"Cut off his arms and legs—turn him into a human pig!" Ghosthide shrieked, his voice shaking the whole arena. The five Heavenly Immortals didn’t hesitate; all their blades swung straight for Ryan’s limbs. One hit and Ryan would be totally crippled!
"Ryan!"
"Ryan!"
...
The Glass Pavilion disciples and all the Long Family kids were screaming their heads off. This was the last thing they wanted to see—but with Nine-Dragon Gate in play, way stronger than the Huangfu Family, who could stop them?
But just as the whole arena was drowning in despair, a bunch of creepy, icy-cold auras suddenly burst out, blocking every direction around Ryan!
In a flash, five sharp, ringing sounds—five golden lights blasted out!
Next thing you knew, those five deadly blades got knocked flying, ripped right out of the Heavenly Immortals’ hands!

"What’s going on? Who—who just showed up?"
"Nobody! I didn’t see anyone come in!"
"If nobody came, then was it a ghost?"
...
The whole crowd jumped to their feet—the sudden twist had them totally floored!
Lydia Jin’s eyes went wide—turns out that last spectator was right. What showed up wasn’t human... it was a ghost!
Almost nobody could make out these icy, ghostly figures, but their aura was so strong it was suffocating—and there was no doubt, their power was Heavenly Immortal-level!
Lydia Jin’s mind was racing. She knew better than anyone that Ryan had to have some kind of backing—otherwise he wouldn’t be so calm. Odds were, that backing came from the Sky-Burial Necropolis. But Lydia never imagined Ryan’s supporters would be these Heavenly Immortal ghosts!
No question, these Heavenly Immortal ghosts were straight out of the Heavenly Immortal Burial Ground—a total forbidden zone. Almost nobody could get in. Lydia herself had warned Ryan not to go, but now it was clear: not only did he go, he actually won their trust.
"This is awesome—this is absolutely awesome!" Lydia was so hyped she nearly jumped out of her seat. With these Heavenly Immortals backing them, she was sure they could take on anything!
Up until now, Lydia had been worried Ryan was just being reckless—one guy taking on all of Nine-Dragon Gate sounded nuts. But now she finally got it: Ryan’s backing was way stronger than anyone guessed. Even Ghosthide wouldn’t have seen this coming!
"How—how is this possible? These are ghosts from the Heavenly Immortal Burial Ground! Why would they help you? Who do you think you are?" Ghosthide was freaking out, yelling like mad. He knew all about that forbidden place—normal people couldn’t even get close, let alone win those ghosts over. He’d tried to buddy up with them himself, but they’d never given him the time of day!
