After all, Violet Snow still held a grudge against him! Although he was generous and forgiving, a prime minister with a heart as vast as the sea, he still found it rather amusing to kick someone when they were down!
Violet Snow's angry gaze landed on Quentin Hua. She spoke coldly, "Sect Master Hua!" Clearly, she believed Quentin Hua was responsible, especially since she had mocked him before.
Quentin Hua quickly waved his hands, eagerly declaring his innocence, "It definitely wasn't me!" He seemed afraid of being wronged, but his tone was full of amusement, with no trace of seriousness.
Violet Snow narrowed her eyes and scrutinized him for a moment. Seeing that he didn't seem to be lying, she was about to look away when Quentin Hua smiled and said, "Taking action against you would only lower my standards! Wouldn't you agree, Lord Ghostmaster?" He glanced at Damien Gray with a teasing look.
Morgan Shangguan couldn't help but give Quentin Hua another look, then glanced at Damien Gray and suddenly said, "Anyone who didn't know better would think there's something going on between you two!" Quentin Hua always loved to tease Damien Gray, making their relationship suspicious!
"Ahem..." Quentin Hua unfortunately choked on his own saliva, hurriedly stepped back, and explained, "I swear, I absolutely don't have that kind of interest!" A misunderstanding was minor, but getting hurt was serious! He dared not provoke the leader of the Cloud Guild!
Damien Gray wrapped his arm around Morgan Shangguan and turned to search for the so-called treasure, though his leisurely manner made it look more like a stroll. Amidst the green mountains and clear waters, the two walked together, arms linked. Though Damien Gray wore a terrifying, cold ghost mask, the fierce lines around his mouth had softened, making him seem less frightening. The beautiful scene was captivating, but few people had the mind to appreciate it now.
Since there were plenty of people around, Morgan Shangguan was too lazy to make her little ghosts work hard—she let those eager for treasure busy themselves instead.
Violet Snow's gaze remained fixed on Damien Gray, then shifted to Morgan Shangguan. Her brows furrowed, but she said nothing more.
Quentin Hua sneered at her intense gaze, then turned and left. Such lack of tact—she probably wouldn't last much longer!
Morgan Shangguan was examining a strange, towering tree when Damien Gray suddenly pulled her behind it, shifting all his weight onto her and pinning her between himself and the trunk.
Morgan Shangguan lifted her gaze to him, raising an eyebrow, "What are you up to now?"
Damien Gray pressed his forehead against hers, a hint of a smile in his eyes and the corners of his mouth lifting. The joyful curve seemed to be growing. Morgan Shangguan frowned, patted his back, and warned, "We still have important things to do!"
Damien Gray ignored her, burying his head in the crook of her neck. He chuckled softly, whispering in her ear, "Momo, your patience is getting worse!"
Hearing his teasing words, Morgan Shangguan rolled her eyes. The warm breath at her ear made her feel ticklish, so she tilted her head and poked his back with slender fingers, pursing her lips, "You seem awfully pleased with yourself, don't you?"
Damien Gray nuzzled closer to her neck and finally laughed, "Of course I'm happy. Are you falling more in love with me?"
Morgan Shangguan couldn't help but laugh and cry at the same time. She smacked his back harder and said helplessly, "Then could Ghostmaster please finish the important business before celebrating?" Violet Snow's gaze was more brazen than ever, already testing her limits. Teaching her a lesson wouldn't hurt, but now it seemed she'd attracted even bigger trouble!
"Mm... Fine then!" he replied, sounding genuinely regretful.
Morgan Shangguan was about to stand properly when she suddenly slipped. She glared at the slyly grinning man and scolded in a low voice, "Where are you touching?" Don't tell her that this was his idea of important business!
"Hm?" Damien Gray still pressed against her, looking at her with innocent confusion. "Isn't it right here? Princess Consort, didn't you feel it?" He touched her again, twice more.
Morgan Shangguan's breathing quickened, and she glared at him in warning, "Damien Gray, mind the occasion!"
Damien Gray sighed and said, "With Blood Wraith so powerful, I don't even know how much longer I'll survive. Momo, how can you be so heartless?" His tone was full of accusation, as if Morgan Shangguan had done something unforgivable! Then, switching to a matter-of-fact tone, he added, "We're husband and wife, not sneaking around, so what's there to be afraid of?" His hands, however, never stopped moving.
Morgan Shangguan was speechless. She glanced at the people searching all around—was there really any difference between them and a pair of secret lovers right now?
She didn't stop Damien Gray's actions. She knew that although he often acted out, he always knew when to draw the line.
Perhaps only she thought so—she hadn't realized her tolerance was far greater than most people's!
She reached out and wrapped her arms around his waist, frowning, "I don't like hearing things like that!" Even if he was just joking, it made her unhappy.
Damien Gray paused, understanding what she meant. He smiled, hugged her tighter, and said, "Don't worry. If I die, I'll drag you with me. How could I leave you behind?"
Morgan Shangguan kicked his leg playfully and laughed, "Why worry? If you die, I'll remarry with Ethan Gray and Roxy Shangguan by my side. We'll be just fine, so you don't have to worry!"
Damien Gray's expression darkened. He pinched her waist and snorted, "Don't even think about it! Getting involved with me is like being haunted by a devil—you'll never get rid of me!"
Morgan Shangguan raised an eyebrow, a smile tugging at her lips. He seemed to forget that her specialty was dealing with ghosts!
Some people did notice their intimate interaction, but at the moment, no one had the mind to interfere. Besides, even on an ordinary day, who would dare bother the Ghostmaster for no reason?
Morgan Shangguan glanced into the distance, wrapped her arms around Damien Gray's neck, kissed his lips, and gently patted his face twice, "Found it!"
Damien Gray turned to look, straightened her slightly messy clothes, and, holding her close, walked over.
This was the second entrance, and it was Violet Snow who found it.
As soon as the entrance opened, there really was treasure inside—not the gold and silver from the stone chamber in the snowy mountains, but priceless items. Even a single piece was enough to throw the world into chaos and endless fighting. That is no exaggeration at all.
